Hi all ☺️ I am now starting Cycle 6 TTC baby number one. I know some of us on January thread said it would be good to set up a Feb thread so thought i’d start it.

I should be ovulating around 17-18th so will be testing on 1st Feb!

It dosen't hurt to add a month!! Do it 🫶🏼

I feel like I would test because I'd rather have a negative pregnancy test and know that AF was coming than just wake up one day to find her arriving if that makes sense. I think everyone is different though so you've just got to go with what feels right for you!!

AF turned up today for me, which is a relief as I knew it was coming. CD1 and some new ovulation tests ordered ready to start trying again!

It is so nice 🥰 Haha I get what you mean 😂 most of my friends don’t want children so they just don’t understand how much I want to conceive!

At least you’re onto a fresh cycle! Which ovulation tests do you use?

People who use the OPK strips/preMom app thing, do you have to use their preMom strips I've seen on Amazon or any will work with the app? It fascinates me it can give readings based on pics of the strips and the line strength. Thinking of trying this month.

I used the ClearBlue Digital Advanced last month (and before my MMC) but I think last month was skewed? It showed high flashing smiley from day 2 of using it (around CD8) and then remained flashing with no solid peak for over a week. Not sure if hormones all over the place... but not using it this month as expensive!!

Any advice welcome with OPK strip usage!! Thank you.

I use the cheapies from savers (pack of 5 for £1).
You can log them on the Premom app, using the “other” tab at the top of the test page.

I’ve used the pink clear blue one too and logged it in the app in the same place.

@Kateb149 I've ordered the easy @ home ones, they seemed to work quite well for me last time so I figured I'd stick with them! They come with some of the pregnancy tests too. Can't wait to start POAS again!! 😅

I use those ones too ☺️ I find them the best out of everything i’ve tried… i do have a clearblue ovulation test too but the strips are expensive.

Haha i’ve POAS three times already today 🤦🏼‍♀️😂 my LH is up to 0.5 but it’s gone back down which means i’ll probably get my peak tomorrow or the next day

@Kateb149 is there a best time of day to do OPKs? Ive settled on midday as fits in with shifts better but should i be doing it morning and eve? Im sooo impatient to ovulate but know it probably wont be till next weekend for me

What CD do people start doing the ovulation tests?

I'm starting this new cycle tomorrow at CD7

I asked this last cycle and most people said day 10. I ovulate late around day 17 so I test once a day and once it gets closer (once I see EWCM) I start testing twice a day.
Currently CD8 so I’ll start testing this weekend.

third cycle of ttc #1 but things are getting serious. I’ve got all the strips I need and it’s still quite exciting the more I learn about how to go about it.

cycle day 1 starts tomorrow so I’m crossing my fingers for me and everyone else 🙏

I tend to find my LH spikes around 11-12 when it starts rising… but then the day I get my peak it’s usually highest in the evening weirdly! So when I know it’s coming i’ll test a few times a day. Could you maybe test at midday and then again late afternoon or evening? I know it’s hard when you’re working, I had to take a test to work the other day which was not ideal 😂

My period was 4 days late and yesterday I think it started. I have PCOS but never had any issues with AF, always a usual bleed. But this time it is very very light, more like spotting. Woke up this morning expecting it to be full flow but there’s nothing on the pad, just bloody streaks when I wipe (sorry if TMI). I have my usual AF symptoms like cramping etc, just very minimal bleeding.
Would you still class this as AF and yesterday CD1? I’m so confused 😩.
