Hi all ☺️ I am now starting Cycle 6 TTC baby number one. I know some of us on January thread said it would be good to set up a Feb thread so thought i’d start it.

I should be ovulating around 17-18th so will be testing on 1st Feb!

Hey @Mumzydarling12 hope you don’t mind me asking, but as you’re 36 and have been TTC for 9 months have you been referred to the fertility clinic by your GP yet?

Mumzydarling12 · 14/01/2025 11:08

Hi @Marvelftw no we haven’t been to the GP yet. I did read it could take 1-2 years in some cases when your a bit older? I guess I’m in a bit of denial as I conceived my other 2 with no problems at all, granted I was younger but I naively thought this time round it would just happen easily again? I think if we get to a year then will go to gp or just accept that it’s not meant to be this time round. X

@AlbatrossSociety The waiting is so frustrating isn't it, especially when you're sure AF is coming and just want to get on with things! I had forgotten that about the vitamins actually, that could explain things. I'm trying to take the longer cycle as something of a positive, as mine were very short when TTC before so I had a short luteal phase.

That's amazing that you conceived so quickly first time, definitely a good sign! Have you been trying long this time round?

AF finally arrived this morning! I was so happy, honestly my partner must be thinking I've lost the plot😂. This is only my 3rd cycle TTC so not long, but my daughter was also with my ex husband, we split up when she was very little. So this kind of feels all new again although my partner did do an at home sperm test thing which came back all good so hopefully we'll get there!

Welcome Mumzy, so sorry about the CP, can imagine how shit that would have been. I'm also doing coq10 plus some zita west ones, vitafem boost and pregnancy plan. I do feel a bit more energised so hoping they're doing something

Hello! Can I join please?

DH and I have just agreed to start trying for our second. Our DS is 2 now and while he is the absolute light of our lives we have had some reservations over whether we could do the baby stage all over again. But I’m nearly 40 so figure we’ll just go for it and see what happens!

we were lucky enough to conceive our son quite quickly, but don’t want to go into this with high expectations and end up finding it really difficult if it doesn’t happen.

Currently CD8. Cycles are 26-28 days and I’ve no idea when I ovulate! Guessing would expect it to be around day 12-14?!

I feel like I’ve forgotten everything I ever knew about ttc, so will be reading up on here and grateful for any tips.

Hiya 👋 I hope TTC for you is as smooth this time as it was last time!

I would imagine you would ovulate around CD 12-14 but everyone is different! Did you ever track your ovulation before?

No tips from me apart from just try and enjoy it as much as you can! It can get stressful but remember it’s normal for it to take a little while x

@Mumzydarling12 sorry to hear about your cp, I try not to test until at is due as I feel it messes with you head!
I'm taking inessa pre natal vitamins, B6, coQ10 and vitamin c.
@Marvelftw I'm going to the doctor next week (about spotting, not necessarily ttc) I'm over 35 and have been trying to 5 cycles so going to see if they will do some simple blood tests I think.

Kateb149 · 13/01/2025 10:37

You’re doing all you can then ☺️ I am the same and have to test a few times a day!

To be honest the test strips that show 0.66 look quite strong to me. Sometimes the app doesn’t pick up on the lines properly but that might have been your peak?

Peak has finally arrived this evening out of no where! OPK this morning was super faint. Bit worried about ovulating CD25 though? Much later than my last 2 cycles 🤔

Oh wow well at least it showed up! It can come on so fast 😅 When is AF due for you if your cycle is a normal length? You might find you have a longer cycle this month?

I’m CD12 today and no sign of a peak yet, no ovulation symptoms apart from some cramping so hoping it shows in the next few days

Hi 👋 Please can I join ☺️
AF due and spotting today so I'm out. Cycle 2 #2

Emalouise25111 · 14/01/2025 21:11

Hey 👋 can I please join? TTC #2 and about to start first cycle as AF due any day! Had copper coil out on NYE and hoping it doesn’t delay things as heard it can make AF late. We tracked ovulation to conceive our first and got pregnant the second month which sadly ended in an MMC. Our son was conceived a few months later so hoping to fall quickly again this time around 😊

Peonies94 · 14/01/2025 21:14

Hope you don’t mind me joining! Periods have just finished and taking Clomid this cycle. We’ve been ttc for our second for 15 months now! @Thewaitingseason how many months have you been raking g letrazole? Is it NHS or private? I was given Clomid but no scans given. Best of luck

I came off the pill in September and my cycles have been between 32 - 34 days so not sure exactly when I’m due but thinking it may be a bit longer now like you say.

Cramping is a good sign fingers crossed ov shows up soon for you 🤞🏻 Is this baby number 1 for you too? X

Mumzydarling12 · 15/01/2025 06:18

@carolinep3 thank you, so upsetting to finally get a positive only for AF to then turn up. I’m 29 days like clockwork and I was 3 days late so took a test which was positive. The happiness was short lived as AF turned up the next day 🤦‍♀️ will
keep trying hopefully we will all get BFP that will turn into little bundles of joy soon x

Marvelftw · 15/01/2025 06:50

@carolinep3 Oh cool, let us know what they say.

Kateb149 · 15/01/2025 09:30

Welcome @Littledot2 @Peonies94 and @Emalouise25111 ☺️ happy to have you here and all the best this cycle! X

Edited

Hopefully your cycle is just a bit longer this month so your luteal phase is a good length 🤞 everything crossed for you!

Yes baby number 1 for me ☺️ my LH level has gone up to 0.32 this morning which is a sign ovulation is on its way in the next day or two thankfully x

Imagine how wonderful moms we're all going to be (or already are) considering our shared longing and maybe sometimes impatience (😂) for our future babies ❤️ My DH often reminds me that It's very beautiful that I'm longing so much even if its really tough too 🥰

Aww this is such a beautiful perspective 🥹. You're right, these babies are so loved before they even exist!

Welcome those who've joined, glad you're here even if I'm sure we'd all rather we'd made our way to the pregnancy board 😂. It is so nice to be able to share the journey, I find it tricky when it occupies quite a lot of my headspace but don't feel like I can talk about it with many people

Room4onemore · 15/01/2025 11:23

I’ve had 2 days of quite heavy bleeding AF but today hardly anything 🤔

Thats a normal cycle for me, sometimes I might have a total of 4 days but 3 is my average.

Have you tracked it for a long time? Is it out of the ordinary compared to your previous 6?

Sunch · 15/01/2025 15:07

Hiya ladies

I hope you’re good.

Im in a bit of a pickle and wondering if you could advise or offer some words of comfort.

I normally have a 28 cycle, today I’m on CD37, my last AF was Dec 10-14th. We didn’t DTD after that in Dec as DH was away. We started DTD again on 02/02/25 which would have been CD24.

Ive got no symptoms of both AF or pregnancy.

How long should I give AF to come (if she’s coming)?

could I have ovulated late?

Im reluctant to test and go down that rabbit hole of emotion. Kinda burying my head in the sand at this point because as I am I am okay,. If I start testing, hopes go up and….but at the same time I know I got to do something right?

should I give it til the weekend?

Day 37 seems quite a bit longer than your usual 28 days I would have to test to rule it out 🙈 Best of luck to you 🤞

Mumzydarling12 · 15/01/2025 17:20

@Sunch ohhhh what a mix of emotions for you. It’s very possible you could have ovulated late? If it was me I would test so at least I had an answer. Crossing my fingers for you! ☺️ xx

I feel exactly the same, I think about TTC quite often but it feels hard not being able to talk to people about it… I can obviously speak to my DH but it’s nice coming on here and having the support of other women who get your worries and experiences ☺️

If you’re reluctant to test and it would make you feel better to wait until the weekend, then it won’t hurt to wait. But if AF hasn’t arrived by then then i’d recommend testing because it does seem like a much longer cycle than your normal cycle length. Good luck and let us know how you get on ❤️

@AlbatrossSociety @Kateb149 I agree, it's nice to talk to women that really understands the emotions and longing 🫶🏼 This community is so cute! I'm 23 so my friends can't really relate, they are trying not to get pregnant instead haha 😂
