Hi all ☺️ I am now starting Cycle 6 TTC baby number one. I know some of us on January thread said it would be good to set up a Feb thread so thought i’d start it.

I should be ovulating around 17-18th so will be testing on 1st Feb!

I’m about 2DPO and I am extremely gassy today!! Not ideal working in an office but is this a sign of something after ovulation. Anyone else? Am I going mad symptom spotting 🙈 just curious more than anything. As I know it’s way too early to be pregnancy

DaringlyDizzy · 30/01/2025 19:10

@Lemoncello823 No idea tbh!! Although early pregnancy has so many 'maybe' symptoms I always end up thinking ive caught and then its like ha no!

Those following my mad ovulation this month might remember I kept getting random kinda dark strips but not DARK. Well, today, I got my DARK strip along with sudden EWCM. But its day 22 of my cycle???? God knows whats going on but we will try tonight.

My worry is IF it does take (please god!!!) I will then stress that becuase my cycle was clearly messed up its going to result in another loss

Sunshine924 · 30/01/2025 19:15

I had no idea the vitamins could mess up or change your cycle!
I've started taking proceive this month as I read it was good too, now worried this was a bad idea!

Mummy1502 · 30/01/2025 20:28

Hi ladies sorry been busy with work today, strange turn of events, bleeding has stopped, it started brown, went to red, back to brown all within 24 hours? My body is clearly doing something wrong and I’m now wondering if this is why I’m struggling to conceive, I will call the hospital tomorrow to try rearrange my blood test as I havnt been back for it yet xx

Littledot2 · 30/01/2025 20:45

@Digby86 thank you for asking this!! I think it all the time especially when having a challenging day with my 2yr old! Really makes me doubt my decision, my parenting ability and whether I'll cope/juggling life with #2. So reassuring to hear the same answer from everybody else too!

My take home message with everyone having similar feelings is that nobody's perfect (especially in motherhood so self doubt is completely normal and healthy) and anything that's worth having in life isn't meant to be easy (makes the reward even greater) ❤️

Yes I am now - I take folic acid, Vit D, Omega 3 and CoQ10. I also take iron but that’s just personal preference I think. I honestly feel so much better this cycle which is why I thought I might be pregnant 😅 no sore boobs, no PMS acne, and my DH has been more moody than me 😂 xx

Oo I think I will pop into Holland & Barrett and try those instead! Thank you xx

becksxx · 30/01/2025 20:49

carolinep3 · 30/01/2025 17:14

@becksxx the pregnacare ones messed with my cycle too, when I did some research I about ttc/pregnancy supplements I found lots of them contain fillers which aren't good for you. I was recommended the inessa ones, more expensive but don't contain all the filler ingredients.

Oh really! That’s bad isn’t it, I will look into those ones, thanks for the recommendation xx

Littledot2 · 30/01/2025 20:50

@Lcc5261 @carolinep3 @justbelieve @EllieWales thank you for your honest replies re #2, completely relate to every one of you and needed to hear this tonight 😘

I think proceive definitely had its benefits so don’t be put off! It has so many good vitamins in it, but it just didn’t agree with me 😅 I also realised I wanted to take coQ10 and recommended dose is at least 300mg but I think there’s only 25mg in Proceive or something like that? So I thought i’d just focus on what I think I needed x

Although I seem to be coming down with the flu so maybe that’s messing with my cycle, our friends had it really bad and looks like they’ve passed it onto us xx

Sorry to hear it’s still all over the place. Definitely speak to the hospital as they might have some advice x

You’re welcome ☺️ Holland and Barratt sometimes have some good deals on so hopefully they can help 🤞 I also get some vitamins from amazon - just check the ingredients to make sure they don’t have any fillers or nasties in them xx

Sorry to hear so many of you are having a confusing cycle. I did last month as it was over Xmas and the stress clearly affected me, ovulated on cd19, had random spotting (but spotted with DD so took it as a positive) then AF turned up 6 days late. Been trying to keep calm/relaxed/unstressed this cycle and got my peak this evening on cd14 as normal so glad I’m back on track!
And can relate to all the rest of you TTC #2, I feel guilty that one day (hopefully soon) DD will be the big sis, like I’m taking away allowing her to be little/young?! Like she won’t get to be the baby of the family, but equally she is the only grandchild (and will unlikely get any cousins) so she surely needs a sibling so she doesn’t get all the attention from all sides of the family?!

AlbatrossSociety · 30/01/2025 21:39

@BerrieSweet TWW is already driving me nuts. I have got a couple new referrals for clients in at work and I just keep thinking 'well, what if I'm pregnant, shouldn't take loads more clients on in case I am', and then 'what if I'm not pregnant, then I'm just missing out on work unnecessarily when actually it would be a good time to be busy'. It's bloody schrodinger's baby!!

@Mummy1502 there must be something going on! I feel like so many things have been off for you this cycle. I have no idea what impact flu can have but fingers crossed you get some answers

@Littledot2 I already feel guilt for thinking so much about having another baby and what if it makes me a worse mum to my little girl, but then three of her little friends have just had baby siblings in the last month and she asked me 'when's my baby coming?' and I honestly cried. I do think it will be hard but one has been hard and I wouldn't change it for the world.

Same!! Both at work but also with plans on the weekends. If I'm pregnant I want to stop drinking alkohol but also if i'm not I want to enjoy a glass while I can with friends. The TWW is not for the weak😂

littlefox90 · 30/01/2025 22:11

After reading through I'm thinking of starting the coq10 too but I'm already taking

A preconception vitamin
Soya
75mg asprin
Biotin

What does everyone else take?

Oh no hope you’re not feeling too rotten. It might be, i’ve been ill all of this week and had a bit of spotting yesterday morning which never happens for me. Has the bleeding completely stopped now? Xx

Well I think I'm 9DPO and still holding out with not testing. I keep swinging between oh my god I'm in with a chance this month my boobs hurt and I've got loads of symptoms to I feel no different to usual and I'll get my period next week.

I did however just cry at a reel on Instagram about seeing your cat again in heaven one day when you're both dead which is not typical of my usual miserable, cold and stoic demeanour so it's not over yet Wink

I feel like I almost don't want to test because I think my gut is saying not this month but the longer I ignore it the more I still have a chance so I'm like yeah let's live in this ignorance for now.

Digby86 · 30/01/2025 22:37

Thank you all so much for being so honest about your feelings on ttc#2. Has honestly made me feel so much better. I had been worrying that the fact I was feeling this way meant it might not be the right thing for us (but I’m 39 so it’s a bit now or never!!).

I absolutely relate to so much of what you all have said. My son is just the centre of our worlds and gets so much attention, we just revolve around him 🙈 I worry how he will feel when that can’t be the case any more. And how much would need to change when there’s a newborn in the mix. I also suffered from very bad PND so there’s a worry I could get sick again and the impact on him.

on the other hand i look to the future and think his childhood will be so much more full with a sibling, and we would be giving him someone to have in his life forever. I’m v close to my siblings and want that for him.

i guess it’s a painful year or two for a longer term benefit, and just have to try and manage it as best as possible. Assuming we even get our number 2!

my boy is also 2 and it sounds like a lot of us are at the same stage!

@confusedmum25 have you had any symptoms so far? I’ve got myself into thinking I need to wee continuously past 24 hours but im like what if ive got a UTI from fertile week bd 🤣 also shooting pains breasts and niggling pain left side by pubic bone. But i know literally all of those things could be just normal pre period as well 🙈

@Floralcat just weeing a lot here! according to my app i'm just 7dpo now and I can’t remember how fast i had symptoms with #1

bramarcan · 31/01/2025 08:06

@confusedmum25 when do you think you’ll take a test?!
