Hi all ☺️ I am now starting Cycle 6 TTC baby number one. I know some of us on January thread said it would be good to set up a Feb thread so thought i’d start it.

I should be ovulating around 17-18th so will be testing on 1st Feb!

@Mummy1502 in my non expert opinion this what I've learnt over the years.
If you are only 7dpo ish, it could easily be implantation spotting, I had it around then for a day or two, really light, just in tissue when wiped, then stopped.
My fertility expert said said it isn't ideal to ovulate early in the cycle, cd11 would be early so it is actually a good thing it has been later for you, the egg has longer to mature.
Each time I have actual conceived it has been cd17-19.
Ovulating early can be a sign of body depletion, like lacking in nutrients etc apparently.
So I would say it was a good thing!

Even with a 25 day cycle? How long are your cycles xx

Mummy1502 · 29/01/2025 18:59

Has anyone tried coq10 or ubiquinol for egg quality? Looks like I’m onto next cycle xx

carolinep3 · 29/01/2025 19:00

Around 27 days but last month was 24 days and she said that was too short for optimum fertility really. Ideally they should be 28-31 days (her words not mine) I had Acupuncture this month where the objective was the length my cycle slightly.

Yes I take them. 600mg a day as I'm over 35.

Do you mind sending a picture of which ones please and do they have any side effects? Xx

I think I need to take some, I’m 42. Does it matter which ones I buy? Thanks

carolinep3 · 29/01/2025 19:17

I don't know if it massively matters which ones, just chose the right mg, 600mg is a lot of tablets if they are only 200mg.
I was recommended these, and have taken them for about 2 months now. No side effects.
I'm on so many supplements, I rattle when i walk 🙈

Thanks, I think I saw these on Amazon. How do you know how much to take?

carolinep3 · 29/01/2025 19:26

Publicised lots of places and from a fertility expert -
300mg under 35
600mg over 35.
I take one tablet in the morning, one in the evening.

Today is also my second day of static smileys. Would you take today as ovulation day based on that and these from Premom?

Annoyingly I came off the pill in Sept and had copious amounts of ovulation discharge in Oct, Nov and Dec, very stretchy etc but we weren’t ready to TTC then. This month and last I’ve had a lot of watery discharge but no egg white and messed up ovulation and periods been later than normal. It’s typical!

Kateb149 · 29/01/2025 21:53

@Mummy1502 i’m soo sorry to hear this 😔 please take care of yourself over the next few days and we’re here if you need to vent. It’s never easy xx

I think your body transforms one into the other (can't remember which way around) so they ultimately end up being used by the body in the same way? I think? I take CoQ10, I take 400mg per day, I'm 31. I've been taking them along with preconception vitamins and women's probiotics this month and no side effects that I've noticed

Sorry to hear you're out this cycle, I had everything crossed for you.

I’m exactly the same! We weren’t ready to TTC until December and since then my discharge had just been really watery rather than like egg white - do you know what it means?!

Hi all just posted in another thread. I haven’t read through all the messages in this so apologies I’m not up to speed!

We’re TTC #2, January was our first month of trying and AF has arrived today. I (naively) completely convinced myself we had conceived from all the symptom spotting so it’s come as a bit of a shock.

We didn’t use ovulation tests this month just went off my predicted fertile window and BBT, it dropped sharply on CD12 and then elevated for 3 days after that so fairly certain I ovulated. Anyway we go again, wishing everyone the best of luck 🍀

Could I ask which probiotic you take? I’ve been looking into microbiome recently and didn’t realise how much it can affect things! I’ve looked at Optibac and Free Soul but not sure what’s best.

@EllieWales Welcome ☺️ sorry to hear AF has arrived. I did exactly the same thing when I first started TTC and was shocked the first month after feeling nauseous etc 😅

Wishing you the best of luck this cycle!

Morning all, I took a test with FMU this morning at 10DPO and got a BFN so I think i’m out. AF is due on Saturday.

I feel like now I’m past the 6 month point I want to see if anything is preventing us from getting our BFP so I’m looking into some private tests. Are there any tests people would recommend?

You’ve still got time, not out yet, with our mmc I actually didn’t get a positive until the day after my period was due, but yes I’m looking into everything now as after over a year and a half trying I feel like I’ve lost hope, feel very deflated this morning and af in full force, can’t believe how different this cycle was and still no bfp, I think I’m going to order the premom ovulation tests and track this month, I know a lot of people track temp but I’ve never done that, also I’m going to order the ubiquinol as after reading a lot of threads in here it seems to work, even for some who are going through ivf, why can’t I just get a bfp xx

Morning sorry to hear about your BFN. I guess it's still very early so still hope yet. Hope you can take care of yourself and maybe treat yourself today too either way ♥️

Sunshine924 · 30/01/2025 08:20

@Mummy1502 really sorry to hear AF has arrived for you too. It really is the worst feeling, particularly at the start of the month x
