Hi all ☺️ I am now starting Cycle 6 TTC baby number one. I know some of us on January thread said it would be good to set up a Feb thread so thought i’d start it.

I should be ovulating around 17-18th so will be testing on 1st Feb!

I didn’t track ovulation as I sort of gave up hope, but on my scan on Monday she said I was about to ovulate, which I thought was too late as I’m due af Tuesday? Really not looking hopeful xx

Oh of course… well if the nurse thought you were about to ovulate on your scan you might have just got a delayed ovulation this month which means AF will arrive later?

That’s what I thought so no point early testing I spose I just have to wait for af, although I did read late ovulation can mean poor egg quality xx

I'm getting worried that my periods aren't normal - this month and last month I've had two 'proper' days and then several days of what is really just spotting (it's red blood but there only really when I wipe) and today it's like blood mixed with cm. Is this normal or do other people have this? I think I read it can signify issues with hormones

I have had the same worries in the past… has it just been the past two months like that for you or is that fairly normal?
My AF is light the first evening, then I get one medium/heavy day then it goes back to light and only lasts a day or two. I was feeling anxious about it but I think as long as AF is not less that two days in total and it’s fairly regular then it’s okay x

I think it can mean lots of things, if you’re stressed/tired/not eating well that can all affect ovulation too. Hopefully it’s just a one off but you’ll have to wait and see. The waiting is just never nice is it! Xx

AF due Tuesday, did test midway through today as didn’t think I had any left.
This could have come up after 10 mins … indent?

Went into next earlier to pick up a parcel
And couldn't help but browse the baby section 🙈😬
I saw this, and just stood standing at it. I thought about all us is so longing for a baby, all of these babies so wanted, not even conceived yet but already so loved. Fingers crossed it is all of our time soon!

To be honest I can't remember! I think it's been like that since I came off the pill in June but I never used to pay attention to these things so it's only the past while I've noticed it as I'm thinking about everything so much now. It's the cm mixed with blood that's weirdest as seems too early for cm to start... I'm only on CD6. I had one evening then night then full day of heavy flow, then one light, and now a few days of this weird intermittent light flow / spotting. I'm hoping I'm just overthinking it.

I’ve just listened to a podcast called ‘Don’t tell me to Relax - A Fertility Podcast’ and there’s some episodes on there which go through what to look out for if you think you have an ‘abnormal’ period and also episodes on CM. It might be worth a listen? It definitely made me feel more relaxed as I didn’t have any of the worrying signs of AF that they mentioned.

Ahhh, I'd be lying if I said I didn't over optimistically pick up a few cute bits in the sales over the past 3 years 😢. Never expected that it would actually never happen...,

Sunshine924 · 26/01/2025 18:25

Thanks @Kateb149 I've just listened to the one about periods it was helpful and had reassured me a bit - but also made me think more about all the lifestyle stuff that makes a difference to your hormones! I didn't realise things like getting enough sleep made a difference or diet. Going to listen to the others!

They are really interesting to listen to aren’t they! I have made changes since the start of Jan in terms of my diet, bedtime routine etc. and hoping it all helps a little bit 🤞

There’s one on coping in the TWW which helped me survive today 😂

@Kateb149 i am starting to think these symptoms are due to my folic acid, I started a double dose this week advised by my doctor, I know they can make you feel sick, I’m also incredibly hot and been cramping the last few days xx

Kateb149 · 26/01/2025 19:13

@Mummy1502 Oh that might be it then? I suppose if AF arrives you could speak to your Dr and see what they recommend doing xx

@Kateb149 yes defo, I’m under the recurring miscarriage clinic anyway (I was there Monday for a scan) we shall see, how are you? Xx

Hi everyone.
Alarm bells starting to ring tonight. Had my BFP on Monday. I have varying cycle lengths. Ovulated early, implanted early and had BFP 9dpo which meant several days before AF due. Had symptoms, was feeling sick and off my food. Last couple of days, symptoms have worn off. Not as sick and not as bloated. Weeing more of course, but decided to take a test today to track progression, was a midday wee and was light yellow - and was negative. Don't really know what to think. As I'm weeing more often is it too diluted? I thought by now a test any time of day would pick up the hCG. trying not to worry too much, I'm not bleeding and cramps come and go - but wondering if this is a chemical pregnancy. Any advice id really appreciate xxx

rhirhibumblebee · 26/01/2025 19:25

@ttcjourney20001 was it the same brand of tests? Try first thing in the morning with first wee and see 🤞🏻

Finding out on Monday, held my wee in all night and bought clearblue ultra early digital flashing test and the normal one and the one that says how many weeks. It said 1-2 on there. Today I used cheapies from home bargains early tests.
Been using those midday time though when it's diluted but surely must still come up though? Or are their sensitivities different?

@ttcjourney20001 I'm sorry you're feeling this worry!🥹 Keep in mind that diluted urine during the day can affect the result of a pregnancy test, especially when you're this early on. The fact that you're not bleeding is a good sign! Test again tomorrow morning for reassurance ❤️

@Mummy1502 It sounds like they’re taking good care of you which is good ☺️ could you speak to them before AF is due to check if it could be the Folic Acid?

I’m good thank you, it will be 7DPO tomorrow and really just want the TWW to be over now 😅 but trying to stay relaxed and i’m sure work will keep me distracted this week. Something feels different this cycle but I don’t know if it’s the change in supplements, eating better and doing some exercise or a mixture of everything 🤷🏼‍♀️😅 or a BFP haha we will see!
