Hi all ☺️ I am now starting Cycle 6 TTC baby number one. I know some of us on January thread said it would be good to set up a Feb thread so thought i’d start it.

I should be ovulating around 17-18th so will be testing on 1st Feb!

@BerrieSweet I keep getting the flashy smiley too, I only have one left! I'm going to have to go to boots tomorrow and buy a whole new kit to test 😩

Omg same!! Will have to buy a whole new package tomorrow too🥲

TWW is driving me nuts today 😂🤦🏼‍♀️ I have zero PMS symptoms which is sooo weird for me and I have quite watery discharge (sorry if TMI!) which I also never usually get. Tricking myself into thinking I’m definitely pregnant even though I wouldn’t have even implanted yet 😅

How do you usually keep yourself distracted? I find it impossible sometimes!

Crossing fingers for you!!😍 It sounds good that some things are different compared to earlier cycles! Wish I could give some tips on the distracted thing but I'm wondering too😂

@BerrieSweet it's only the first proper cycle tracking for us. So very early days! We had a baby boy in lockdown so it will be nice to actually do things with hubby this time! He couldn't come to any scans or appointments and I didn't get to do any baby classes or anything like that. 🤞🏻🤞🏻

Aww can imagine how exciting it must be to be able to do the appointments with hubby when you get the BFP 😍🤞🏼

That’s a good idea… i’m absolutely fine when I’m out and about but when I’m home all the overthinking starts 😅 i’ll have to do a full clean of the house tomorrow or something!

It is always hard when you’re waiting for peak day. Are you expecting it to come soon?

Ha that sounds ambitious I start with one room 🤣 how many DPO are you now?
I'm actually not sure. I've not used OPKs before - I've been going for the DTD every other day or so from about day 9/10 and looking out for EWCM
Last month my cm was confusing and it didn't work did it! Also DTD every other day not an option this month due to my in-laws staying here. Don't fancy the efficient approach more than once or twice! 🤣
So going to see this month if I can pinpoint when ovulation actually might happen. I was planning on starting to use the tests on cd10?

Thank you, i’m hoping that it’s a good sign 😬🤞 haha it is just so hard to stay distracted and something I struggle with every month!

I’m 6DPO today so still a little while to go! I should get AF on 1st Feb!

It’s good you’re looking out for CM, I’ve read that it can be more reliable that OPK’s as it’s the natural way to tell if you’re fertile or not - but I think it can take a few months to get the hang of it! I’m going to try looking at CM in Feb if I’m out this month. I usually start LH testing around CD10 ☺️ but you might want to start earlier if you haven’t used them before just to rule out the possibility that you might ovulate really early?

@Tia22 It took over a year. But I had a positive that ended on week 5 and then I had a loss at 6 weeks and then I finally got pregnant.

I am so sorry to hear that, sending you lots of positive vibes for this time round 💖💖💖💖

Ah yes I understand then about the time dragging! This whole thing is just hard isn't it!
The issue last month was just that I got barely any cm at all! But will keep trying to use that as an indicator too.
That's a really good point maybe I will start cd8 just in case

It is 😅 at least we have this thread!

I’m the same, the advice is wipe and check what’s on the tissue but when i’ve tried that in the past I get no CM on the tissue 😂 I know keeping hydrated improves CM and other things can help too so I might try that next month if needs be… I’ve also been using Conceive Plus lubricant to help with the lack of CM.

Hope you get on well with the LH strips ☺️ I think one month I started testing as soon as AF finished just to see what my levels were like for the whole month.

carolinep3 · 26/01/2025 09:15

@rhirhibumblebee I have a baby during Covid too, doing every appointment alone plus being induced alone was hard! If I ever get pregnant again looking forward to that changing!

@Sunshine924 if you haven used the strips before I would start straight after your period. I was quite surprised that a few months ovulated early.

How is everyone today? Any symptoms? Af is due to arrive Tuesday, for me I keep feeling slightly sick and my boobs are sore, but I get these symptoms some months on lead up to period anyway so not looking any different here x

Morning everyone,
Definitely feeling the morning sickness today, got tingling boobs and a metallic taste in my mouth
EDD I've worked out is October 6th. However I have irregular, varying length cycles, so could be different. I'm putting my money on early October though.
Hope everyone's doing well xxxx

Omg wiiiie!! Tonight and tomorrow will be perfect, don't feel sad you didn't do it yesterday🥰 So exciting!!

I've just bought a new package of the purple CB and will test as soon as I can pee 😂

Sunshine924 · 26/01/2025 11:11

Thanks for the advice on starting the OPKs a bit sooner, will do that! I've gone for the clear blue pink ones this month as just seems easiest

Morning ☺️ please let us know how you get on. At least you know you get those symptoms sometimes normally so you’re not panicking about what it means. My AF is due on Saturday next week so i’ve still got a while to go. Boobs feel ‘fuller’ today but don’t hurt, and I was definitely a bit shorter with DH this morning 😅 so progesterone is defo on the rise! X

Will do, I never get my hopes up anymore as been too long, it’s nice to be back on mumsnet and speaking to other people in the same boat, can’t seem to shake the nausea, it does seem worse than it normally is and incredibly tired, i did find it weird that on Friday night I had a can of gin and slimline tonic for my husbands birthday and couldn’t even finish it due to feeling so sick (again I know it’s too early for symptoms but I’m very in tune with my body) I could
normally drink 4 of those little cans on a Friday evening and feel fine, I have some tests ready but I plan on waiting to see if af arrives first to avoid disappointment xx

Kateb149 · 26/01/2025 12:08

@Mummy1502 That’s really interesting… it sounds like it’s worse than your normal nausea symptoms and tiredness is another big sign. How many DPO are you today? I know what you mean… i’d love to just know what a positive test looks like at this point 😅 xx

Hi ladies! Just checking in currently on CD15 fertile window week so been DTD every other day. We were DTD everyday last month during fertile week but a fertility podcast I was listening to said every other is better for stronger sperm? 🤔
My app says cd17 for ovulation this month and have been experiencing a lot of CM. Crossing our fingers again this cycle number 9 TTC. My AF is due Feb 11th debating wether not to test and see if AF arrives as I was 4 days late last month and we got a positive! Only for it to turn out to be a CP. But it’s my birthday on the 10th Feb (37) so debating wether to test then as it would be a lovely birthday present, or it could go the other way and I will be in a bad mood on my birthday! 😳😂 wishing you all BFP this month! ☺️x

I didn’t track ovulation as I sort of gave up hope, but on my scan on Monday she said I was about to ovulate, which I thought was too late as I’m due af Tuesday? Really not looking hopeful xx

Sunshine924 · 26/01/2025 12:33

I'm getting worried that my periods aren't normal - this month and last month I've had two 'proper' days and then several days of what is really just spotting (it's red blood but there only really when I wipe) and today it's like blood mixed with cm. Is this normal or do other people have this? I think I read it can signify issues with hormones

I have everything crossed for you this month after your CP 🤞 I’ve heard that too… we tried to DTD every other day this cycle but messed up the days 😅 so we’ll try that next month.

Maybe it would be best to wait for AF to arrive if you have your birthday? You won’t want to feel disheartened on your birthday or you might have the opposite and get your BFP but then feel anxious about the CP? Don’t want to seem negative at all and I hope you get your BFP this month but that’s just what i’d be thinking because I know i’m a worrier! X
