I am now 37 and have one beautiful 10yrs old boy, my partner has 2 boys 9 & 13yrs.

I bought the Hertility kit online, not yet opened it… I was going to give this cycle my last attempt before investigating 🙃

We got pregnant a year ago but due to personal circumstances we both decided to not go ahead, this I carry so much guilt over 🪃

Now we are both ready and settled in our careers and home but now it has taken nearly 6/7cycles.

today I got my 1st + ovulation test, so beginning our January TWW.

what is everyone else’s story 🌟

I’m sort of regretting using OPKs - they’re really stressing me out! How can my LH be this low and going down

Hi Fly,

personally, I would test in the morning, your urine might be too diluted could be one of the reasons. You may of missed your peak might be another reason.
thirdly some women get 2 peaks, your peak might be yet to come.

OH is wanting to BD every night at the min, just in general, I can’t keep up!!! 😆🤣

I forgot to test my OPK this morning so will do one after work.
Mine is still faint (yday) so I’ll post how it looks later on for you I am CD9 today x

@FlyHighSky72

These are from my last 2 cycles anyway, you can see on the evening it looks slightly lighter, as my urine would have been more diluted.
i really don’t drink enough also x

Thanks @SCK2024thats really useful to see - similar to mine. What does your high/peak look like? I think you said it was usually CD14?

My darkest peak is usually CD 10/11

ill upload what it looks like today in an hour when I’m back home.

We have tried various BD options like every other day & every day.

Tried conceive lube, if we ever needed to use it..which is rarely tbh.

I bought fertility cups used it twice.

The longer it’s been the more laid back about it all I am now, it will happen when it happens.

We have conceived in the past (yr ago) regrettably terminated, but been trying for about 8/9mths now.

we both have children each too and buying our own home together so the timing is perfect now.

x

Here are todays, I did 2 to show you what the difference in lighting can do.

Very last test- natural light
one before last is just with the living room light on.

Be mindful of this too.

either way progression in the lines are showing.

just keep on testing and you will notice it too 😊✨

OPKs kind of bounce about a bit until you start to get your surge. I find that normally my LH levels are 0.12-2, and anything above 0.25 is indicative of my surge starting/ending.

FarAwayBird · 02/05/2025 21:58

Hello! Hope you don’t mind me joining. I’m 35, in our first month TTC #2. Told myself I’d be chilled and not track anything this time… already started on the OPKs 🫣 my app said my surge was last night but it seems very short! I guess I’ll wait and see…

Hey girls,
so I fell off the wagon 🫠🫠
Went to an all day/night bbq with quite a few drinks on Saturday forgot to test yesterday 🤦🏻‍♀️
so tested this morning, not sure if I missed my peak or it may be tomorrow I’ll test again.
Plenty of BD-ing last night and tonight… least I wouldn’t have missed my peak if it was 😂

How is everyone else?
@FlyHighSky72 Have you got you peak yet?

1dpo today and hoping to hold out until next Wednesday before I test 😬

FlyHighSky72 · 05/05/2025 19:17

Hard to know @SCK2024just keep BD-ing and you’ll have it all covered!
Think the peak was yesterday so presume I’ll ovulate today - couldn’t BD last night as partner was feeling unwell but did this morning so hoping we caught it! Will go again tomorrow just to be on the safe side. Feeling really down this evening, wondering if I’m too old and although I’ve ‘done the right things’ and eaten well etc for the last 2-3 months my past of heavy drinking will stop me conceiving!

Think I'm 4/5 dpo today, been getting quite a few twinges and dull cramps but trying not to obsess over every little thing 😅
I know with my last pregnancy I was quite crampy in the TWW but any other potential symptoms wouldn't happen for a few days yet. Glad I'm back to work tomorrow as it will keep my mind distracted.

Fingers crossed for everyone!

SCK2024 · 06/05/2025 15:25

OPK has not roses so I will assume I missed my peak test but BD was covered 100% .

I will not be symptom spotting this cycle, just holding off now till testing so good luck with everyone this cycle 🫶🏼✨

Has anyone cycles shortened as they’ve got older? I swear mine used to be about 30 but now they’re about 28! Panicking I don’t have time to implant

Thanks @SCK2024- I seem to have ovulated late this cycle - yesterday - and period due on the 16th so literally ten days to implant! I hope it’s enough/this later ovulation is just a random one and I either catch this month and that it’s not a problem or in future months I ovulate earlier - argh so stressful

FlyHighSky72 · 06/05/2025 19:16

This is my OPKs - does this confirm (as much as an OPK can!) that I ovulated on the 5th May? Trying to work out whether to DTD tonight or not stress about it (partner and I both tired!)

curliegirlie · 06/05/2025 20:06

If you ovulated later, AF will be due later, regardless of your usual cycle length. So, your AF will be due around 12-14 days afterwards, don't panic!
