35yrs + and trying ✨🫶🏼

[SCK2024]

I am now 37 and have one beautiful 10yrs old boy, my partner has 2 boys 9 & 13yrs.

I bought the Hertility kit online, not yet opened it… I was going to give this cycle my last attempt before investigating 🙃

We got pregnant a year ago but due to personal circumstances we both decided to not go ahead, this I carry so much guilt over 🪃

Now we are both ready and settled in our careers and home but now it has taken nearly 6/7cycles.

today I got my 1st + ovulation test, so beginning our January TWW.

what is everyone else’s story 🌟

@curliegirlieI sure hope so! The apps (the one on my phone and Premom) both say my period will come on the 16th

How long have you used apps for? And what data do you input? I find Fertility Friend much more responsive to data than PreMom - it actually learns from my previous cycles, whereas PreMom seems to resolutely cling to the standard stuff. If you don't add positive OPKs and/or BBT, apps make predictions based on the textbook 28 day cycle with OV on CD14. Not sure about PreMom. That one seems to be in its own little world! But FF tends to get it spot on (e.g. it knows my LP is 12 days, so adjusts my predicted AF date based on that, depending on when I get a positive OPK).

Apologies for the essay - I've had a total of over 5 years experience (across my 3 TTC stints) to learn this all from!

Thanks @curliegirlie- this is my first month tracking anything and I’ve put my standard period and cycle length into Premom (just from the data on my phone tracker - inbuilt in apple) and then I’ve used OPKs this month and inputted them

How's everyone today? I am 4dpo and trying my hardest not to symptom spot but my body isn't making it easy

Quick question as it’s new for me.

What is the lowest but peak your opk have you got? (This cycle 60)

mine aren’t as high this month as previous cycles (1.0 and higher)

@SCK2024 I have accepted as low a 0.8 as a peak for me as that was a lot higher then I would normally get the rest of the month. Unlike other people my LH sometimes starts rising when I am asleep so I don't always see the high numbers. Generally I like to see a 1 or more.

Why do you think we get lower levels?
does it mean we didn’t ovulate or have a healthy egg? @Mummysparrow

@SCK2024 I am not sure why some people get higher numbers but how dehydrated the pee is could be something to do with it. I don't think it actually matters as long as the test line is as dark as the control line. I have been pregnant twice before (one resulting in a live birth) and I have never got really high numbers. With my daughter I got a 1.25 so I wouldn't worry 😊

@SCK2024and @Mummysparrowi’m 9 dpo today - tested this morning with a FRER and got a BFN! Will test again tomorrow at 10 dpo and then my period is due 11 dpo so will just see what happens then - not really holding out much hope tbh after today’s stark white test today!! How about you?

So would I be at 7dpo?

@SCK2024i think if you’re peak was 4th may I’d say you’d ovulate 5th may (I know some people ovulate later than this!) so you’d be 9 - that’s how I’m measuring it anyway (I had a peak on the 4th too)

@SCK2024 at 10dpo. Myast 2 pregnancies (one resulting in loss) I got positives at 10dpo so I am making the assumption I am out. I have held on to hope before after 10dpo and got AF so no I am making the assumption I am out and preparing for next cycle. I am paid for hubby to get his sperm analysis done on Monday 😂

My other half has his beginning June too .. he isn’t too thrilled throwing one up in a pot 🫠🤦🏻‍♀️😂 needs must!

dont rule yourself out just yet! I wouldn’t! Every pregnancy is different, holding out for some hope for you 🫶🏼✨

@SCK2024ive got three lined up to test with tomorrow morning 🙄😒🤦🏼‍♀️🤪#Desperate! A FRER, a clearblue 6 days early and a cheapy from Tesco (Tesco own brand) - tomorrow is 10 dpo so if there’s anything I should see it! Period due Friday so if I don’t see anything tomorrow I’m just going to see if my period comes. Meant to be going out for drinks Friday night so at least if my period comes I can relax with some alcohol!

After getting a peak on 29th April, I was doing tests a few days ago but then AF turned up on monday which I was pretty relieved about to be honest as it is my first period since my miscarriage 8 weeks ago.
Feel I can start fresh from this cycle and track to see how long it takes to ovulate this time round!

Did my three different branded tests just now and absolutely nothing - not even a hint of a line so I’m out this month!

I am looking forward to a margarita this weekend. I feel like it is needed. I really can't understand how I could conceive easily before my TFMR last May and now nothing. Hubby is trying to be positive and says it is cycle 1 since endometriosis was removed and c section defect was repaired. But I am finding it hard to focus on any positive.
