I am now 37 and have one beautiful 10yrs old boy, my partner has 2 boys 9 & 13yrs.

I bought the Hertility kit online, not yet opened it… I was going to give this cycle my last attempt before investigating 🙃

We got pregnant a year ago but due to personal circumstances we both decided to not go ahead, this I carry so much guilt over 🪃

Now we are both ready and settled in our careers and home but now it has taken nearly 6/7cycles.

today I got my 1st + ovulation test, so beginning our January TWW.

what is everyone else’s story 🌟

I am on day 17 of my cycle. 😕
I wonder if I have a hormonal issue. I have very heavy periods. I have an appointment with a private endocrinologist next Friday. We are still quite early on in our TTC journey though, so I am holding out hope 🤞🏽

thats interesting you had untreated hypothyroidism and we’re still able to conceive, that’s great. Sorry what does CD mean? And OPKs?

I conceived after I was diagnosed and started on the Levothyroxine. That, and possibly agnus castus finally brought on ovulation on my over 4 month long cycle, and I conceived 6 cycles afterwards. It wasn't a complete magic bullet though - DD2 took 12 cycles and this time round (at 42) I've been trying for 3 years, finally fell in February this year, then miscarried at just under 6 weeks.

CD = cycle day; BBT = body basal temperature (I think!). Basically your temperature goes up slightly after ovulation so it can help you confirm a positive OPK. I've found Fertility Friend the best app to record the data on.

✨I haven’t had a good nights sleep for a week now, waking up early, not sleeping well at all

✨PMS sort of cramps (currently sat having a mani and pedi with grey clothing on, feeling like it’s AF) 🫣 …. I know it’s not as not due for another week.
✨Feeling emotional and low in mood

I just bought some Amazon cheapies to arrive today 10miu

Last month, although I got a BFP with Boots early pregnancy tests at 9dpo, it took a couple of days before it showed up on the One Step, despite them theoretically being the same sensitivity.

Fertility Friend now reckons I'm 5dpo, although I could be 6dpo, because I had a missed temperature last week - FF put ovulation as 2 days after my LH peak which is out of the norm for me.

Are you temping or using opk?

i know it’s mega too early but they was there and felt like doing one knowing it would likely be that result, so not disheartened.

My peak was CD 10

I both use OPKs and have been temping since the miscarriage to help confirm what's going on in case the MC has sent things out of whack. I got a nearly positive OPK on CD6, but I had a couple of random temps in the following days, then missed a day, so it took longer than usual for FF to spot the 3 days of elevated temperatures.

I would take your first positive OPK as the one you count from (unless the one the following day was darker).

@curliegirlie I wouldn’t have a clue how to even read those charts for checking ovulation.

Yes - and so much easier to interpret than other charts I've seen (PreMom, I'm looking at you!). Fertility Friend gives crosshairs when it detects ovulation, either when you input a positive OPK (when tracking with OPK alone), or if you also track BBT, it goes by that - and assumes ovulation when you have 3 temps which are 0.3 degrees above your pre ovulation average.

Yes. You need a BBT thermometer which gives you the readings to two decimal points - they're about a fiver on Amazon, and then you take your temperature first thing when you wake up, whilst still lying down. If you find OPKs accurate (and AF arrives when expected afterwards) temping isn't strictly necessary, but it can be useful to have the extra confirmation. I'm not sure I'd have believed my dark OPK was real on CD6 if my temps didn't seem to confirm it - I'd still be looking out for a second surge 😂

Just jumping in here, I’m 41 with 3 teens and lost a pregnancy in 2023. Got my BFP this morning, I’m so scared I loose this one too, obviously I’m older and I have an underactive thyroid so it’s a worry.

I am DPO10 today, I have my smear tomorrow 🫠 so just did a hpt.. negative. L be trying again tomorrow morning with 1st morning wee before I go for my appt.

AF isn’t due until 26-29th
So I’ll go for my smear this morning 🫠

I thought I could see a shadow but I really think it’s my eyes and if so probs an evap so not getting suspicious.

we go away tomorrow, hoping AF doesn’t arrive solely for that tbh 😅

update… So AF arrived (25th) typically when away 😂 but only for 1 day 🤷🏻‍♀️ it was V light but red in colour.
I haven’t done a hpt, maybe I should?
I don’t know, don’t think I’m pg though.

Forgot to add on the 24th I had severe cramps and back ache so badly! Had to take cocodamol.
never had to do that before or even cramped so badly.

Maybe worth a test if your period has completely disappeared after one day....

I was exactly the same this month @SCK2024 ! We were away and mine came a day early but only lasted a day and a half but I had a lot of back ache too that I don't get normally! My tests came back negative 😞 Really thought that this was going to be our month! Onto another new cycle!

Feeling crap tbh. AF arrived on Thursday at CD18 FFS! Last cycle was definitely very random so everything crossed for a more normal one this time. Again, as we were in the Easter holidays/Annual Leave etc, last cycle I think we DTD pretty optimally, despite ovulation coming silly early, but still nothing 😩...

Hey, I'm still in limbo with my cycle after my mmc last month, been over 5 weeks and haven't ovulated and no sign of a period returning yet 🙃
My ovulation tests seem to be getting a little darker the last couple of days to I'm hopeful that I might be approaching ovulation, feeling so frustrated, I just want something to happen so I know where I'm at.
