35yrs + and trying ✨🫶🏼

I am now 37 and have one beautiful 10yrs old boy, my partner has 2 boys 9 & 13yrs.

I bought the Hertility kit online, not yet opened it… I was going to give this cycle my last attempt before investigating 🙃

We got pregnant a year ago but due to personal circumstances we both decided to not go ahead, this I carry so much guilt over 🪃

Now we are both ready and settled in our careers and home but now it has taken nearly 6/7cycles.

today I got my 1st + ovulation test, so beginning our January TWW.

what is everyone else’s story 🌟

im 12DPO and negative! I’m glad really as I’m away in the Canaries with the kids for my 40th at the moment and have drank my body weight in champagne 🙄🥴😂
Hopwfully my cycle will start on Friday. We fly home on Saturday so look forward to a new month trying!!

What do you all think to this? I don't know how many days past ovulation I am because I tried to really relax and didn't track this month, but I'm guessing somewhere between 8 and 10.

I've never had anything like this on a clear blue before, I've had evap lines but after an hour or so. This came up straight away and although it's thin the line has colour in real life.

I don't want to get my hopes up after a year of trying! But could this maybe be an early positive?

I can see the faint line, could very well be! Can you get a first response one? I have the clear blue ones, they are so bad for evap a.

I will try and get a pink dye one. I know they're bad which is what's making me worry and try not to get too excited. But it's so hard! I've spent the last 12 months trying to see a line and this one is actually there, just need it to be real x

These cycles don’t half fly by!
AF due 1st April.
this month used fertility cups and BD 2days pre and post ovulation peak and on the day of.
i have been so bloody tired all week, no amount of sleep has fixed it, also been feeling down ish yday and today, no reason.

i don’t think i will be early testing this month but looking forwards to what happens!

Im feeling a little more postive this month too! Just got to find things to keep my mind off it. Might start reading like someone else suggested on another thread!

Is it possible to miss ovulation even when taking tests? I’ve only had one positive ovulation test since Christmas. I’m worried something is going on as my period was only 9 days late last month.

Just this cycle I have used fertility cups and only on the 3 BD on the fertile week.

read lots of good reviews on them, it wasn’t as fidgety as some made out, I did sleep with it twice by mistake 🫠 they are ment to stay in 30mins1hr max… probably for infection matters, but I’m okay, when I took it out in the morning so much was n the cup!

I haven’t felt any different this cycle apart from exhaustion, but may have been because we went out the weekend before and it was a late on plus school runs/work etc.

Yeah tiredness just catches up and you overthink it don’t you, or don’t think anything if you are not as tired as usual!

My period is so heavy. On day 3. I’m glad actually as I just want it all out and not drag on! I spotted for 3 days last cycle and it took ages for the bleeding to start ramping up but I had just started acupuncture so I think it was that. Not had acupuncture for almost a month now as the lady was on holiday and then I was away too. She’s back this week so my next appointment is on Wednesday so will be interesting to see what happens! xx

although I am a nurse… the thought of needles on myself, I couldn’t bare it! 😂

🤣😂 that contraption is wild! I read some women find it difficult and uncomfortable, they must have used a cheaper version possibly? Mine was very comfortable that I forgot and fell asleep with it in twice 🤦🏻‍♀️ let’s see if it works!

I didn’t tell OH I really don’t want to take the sex drive to nose dive as it would me 😂 it’s like putting a tampon in a little, not very flattering at all! 😆

I am DPO10 today!
feeling like I have tons of energy today! No symptoms, had niggling lower abdo last week but that’s all.

I don’t want to become obsessed testing early this month, I may just wait and see if AF arrives on the 1st or not so I am not disheartened everyday if I don’t see lines or fainters.

when is your fertile week? Are you using OPKs?

@SCK2024Ha ha it is pretty uncomfortable when the needles go in. I had just started to get used to it over three weeks before she went away to Australia and now after nearly a month I have to get used to the weirdness all over again 🥴🥴

No! I try and not tell my hubby when I’m in my fertile days most of the time as to not put him off, not that it ever does when I have told him! 😂😂 last month we only managed to DTD 3 hours before I ovulated! 😬 We had a busy week that week and he had the norovirus and then I had it so it was a horrible week all and all.

oowww I would be testing at 10DPO!! Wouldn’t be able to help myself! Exciting! Imagine you get your BFP of April 1st and your partner doesn’t believe you!! Ha ha

My fertile days start from 2nd of April. I do test just because I’m sad like that but I feel ovulation so that helps a lot!! 😂😂 xx

I used the pre mom app this week and uploaded my OPKs never done that before so a couple of new things I’ve tried this cycle.

Couldn't just read and run, acupuncture shouldn't hurt. I've had it a good few days for fertility purposes. It is a strange feeling, but really shouldn't hurt 😬

It doesn’t hurt but it is uncomfortable. Everyone Is different and I’ve always been a mard arse 😀

Thanks. Only just over 5 weeks, found out at 3 weeks so time is going incredibly slowly!

I am DPO11 today, tried not to symptom spit at all but feeling sickly today, tired and veiny sore boobs.
period sort of cramps too but mild.
feeling awful today with it 😴
