TTC in 2025!

Hi everyone, thought I’d make my first thread here to see if there’s anyone else planning to conceive in 2025? 🥰 I’m feeling so excited but also a little nervous as I have a cyst on my ovary. It doesn’t cause me any pain or symptoms but it’s being referred to as a suspected endometrioma so that causes me some anxiety! The gynaecologist told me I won’t know if it affects fertility until I try and he isn’t too worried. However that doesn’t stop my nerves! I really hope 2025 will be the year, I feel so ready to be a mum now. 🥹

My fiancé and I are planning to start TTC in April! Just started on my folic acid/vitamin d tablets and it’s starting to feel very real! Eek 🥰❤️ Anyone else in a similar position? I’d love to know any tips on how to best prepare my body in advance and any tips for my other half too!

How exciting for you both! I want to be as real as possible (someone who has been ttc #2 for 9 years) it can be very stressful you will over analyze every symptom you get and it may take longer than you hoped. We are all here for any questions you have no question is a silly question so please feel like you can ask absolutely anything, we aren't medically trained but we will answer the best we can. I have found if you feel like it's getting to stressful with ovulation tests, temping ect then just take a month off all that, still ttc but without the added stress and make it fun again. Best of luck 💕

Thank you! I've bought some ovulation strips and thought I might try those in Jan and Feb just to see how similar my period tracking app is to my actual cycle? Do you have to use them at the same time every day? Evening/morning better? Do you use them every day from the end of your period? I've just got wondfo ones

I use them from around 10dpo, I did afternoon and evening as i always had a lower reading in the mornings so found it better from the afternoon, it is quite easy to miss a peak on the test to so if you see it get to almost a peak then decrease the chances are you haven't caught it on the test, dtd every other day from 10dpo should cover you

BabyS2025 · 30/12/2024 19:42

Thanks @MadeWithL0ve (assume these numbers are assuming a 28 day cycle?)

MadeWithL0ve · 30/12/2024 19:46

I have a 31-36 day cycle I still just test from around then

Ok thanks - I used to be 30-31 days but now I'm older it's shortened! Should I be worried!?

I wouldn’t worry! Mine is 28 days but used to be longer and it’s the same for a lot of my friends. As long as you have a regular cycle then I think that’s a positive thing!

We are going to start TTC in Feb. I also had a cyst on my ovary which turned out to be an endometrioma, which i had removed via surgery. They suggested removal in case it eventually burst.

Looking forward to going on this journey with others!

Aw exciting!

How big was your endometrioma? They advised against removal of mine due to the risk of losing the ovary.

Sorry for my ignorance but what's an endometria?

Sorry for my ignorance but what's an endometria?

It’s a blood filled cyst that doesn’t go away on its own. It can be a sign of endometriosis but they can also be isolated.

👋checking in would love to join. We planned to start trying TTC no1 Jan 25 but decided to give it a go in Dec... fell pregnant was so shocked but sadly ended in a chemical. Now waiting patiently to ovulate again. Surprised how quick I went from not fussed to peeing on a stick every day lol. I found Flo app matched my ovulation almost perfectly - 31-33 day cycle, ovulate day 17-20 depending!!

Happy New Year ladies! How are you all doing? Hopefully 2025 is our year 🤞🏼🥹 My fiancé and I had planned to start TTC in April but think we may push it back a month to May due to other commitments! I know it’s very unlikely to happen the first month of trying but just in case!

Hey! 10DPO and BFN today...I am having some symptoms but maybe all in my head lol @EmCha I think something like 30% of people do get lucky first time so here's hoping it's the case for you when the time is right 💖

Onetotwo · 21/01/2025 11:17

Hi everyone

Jumping in as trying to conceive #2, we’ve been lazily trying since the summer but this is the first month I’m trying to track ovulation etc. Got pregnant with DD1 first cycle without really trying so concerned it’s going to take a lot more work this time (that was 4 years ago)!

Ooh fingers crossed for you! 🥰

I’ve just started tracking my ovulation with the strips. I’m pretty sure I know when I do as my body gives me obvious signs but it will be good to hopefully see a line progression. Cycle day 11 and a very faint line. According to my app, I should ovulate on day 15 so let’s see!

We won’t be actively trying until May though. 🥰

Hi ladies, first month tracking ovulation for me. We are ttc #2 for about 6 months now but I haven’t actively tracked anything. I’ve been diagnosed with anaemia and despite iron tablets for 6 months my levels aren’t very high so I was tracking out of interest to see if I was ovulating although I know the tests aren’t definites that you do, more that your body is trying. Anyway, do you think these look positive? Pre mom just has it down as a high? Thanks!

I don't always trust premom - keep testing for the next few days and see if it comes down or keeps going up, but FWIW they look positive to me! Get busy 😂

MakeMeJuno · 23/01/2025 12:55

Still BFN today 12DPO but I feel so rough... god knows what is going on! Feeling fine about the outcome either way tbf, the CP last month was horrible so at least it doesn't seem like I'll have to go through that again

They definitely look positive to me! The line is so dark. My lines are so light at the moment. Going to test again this evening.
