10dpo and still negative so I am pretty confident that I am out this month. So on to month 5 of TTC after loss. Emotionally I am not doing well today. I was convinced I would be pregnant again by the time George's due date came around especially as it only took 3 months to conceive him and 2 months for my daughter.
Although I have had a private scan and blood test, I am still convinced something must not be right. I have a NHS scan in a few weeks so interested to see how that goes .
@Beanie14 I tried to find out from my bereavement midwife what the wait time for help in my area is but she doesn't know and I suspect it is a long wait so I think I may continue on my private path once I have had my NHS scan.

What vitamins is everyone on? I am wondering if I should strip back what I am taking.

Big hugs to everyone. This is such a tough journey that no one wants to be on. 🤗

Well AF came at 10 dpo, waited until after I’d just done a test though even though I ‘checked’ before taking it 🙄 so on to cycle 6 TTC post MMC
I’ve booked myself a phone consultation with the GP Monday though I’m not sure anything will come from it as it was done online so not sure they’re looked at before the time of the appointment.. booked it because it’s been almost a year of TTC now, two losses and my cycles (LP particularly) are very short following MMC, we will see what they say 🤷🏻‍♀️

Bfp this week 🙂 I'm mostly managing to feel pretty calm about it, but I think mainly because I'm not feeling awful yet and I'm very busy so it's easy to not think too much about it. Today I keep thinking I'm cramping but it doesn't really feel like period pain so my sensible head thinks it's ok... My irrational head is freaking out.

@Reyttc I've just got the seven seas ones because they have folate rather than folic acid. Have used the food based kind too, though honestly I don't know if I feel any different on different vitamins

MrsS11 · 15/11/2024 20:09

@Mummysparrow I'm so sorry this wasn't your month, those anniversaries looming are so hard. Sending hugs x

Beanie14 · 16/11/2024 01:30

@Ella31 aww thanks. I know it’s shocking isn’t it??

Beanie14 · 16/11/2024 01:33

Congratulations @MrsS11 xxx

Bellabubble · 16/11/2024 08:38

@Mummysparrow I had 7 cycles post my first MMC before I conceived again. Sadly that one was an anembryonic pregnancy and I had a d&c for that, then 2 months later we conceived my now 3year old. I had been taking b12 and 6 plus the old style seven seas trying to get pregnant tablets, and co q10 for egg quality. This time round I’m just taking co q 10 and the new seven seas trying for a baby as they have b6 and 12 in them already x

@MrsS11 congratulations! x

@Reyttc thank you - I’m ok, weirdly wanting af to return just to feel like I can close the book on this chapter. I also keep thinking every day af isn’t here is another day coq10 can help with the egg quality at least (in my head - not sire if it works like that in reality!)

Congrats. I had cramps with my late twins and with my current pregnancy up until 12 weeks so don't worry. It felt like my period was coming on and lower back pain. Unless there's blood, I wouldn't worry. Lovely line by the way

@Mummysparrow, sorry you are feeling down today. 🥰 it took me 8 months after losing my twins to conceive again so I feel your pain. I was the same fell pregnant within 2 months with each pregnancy before.

said id tell you what helped me vitamin wise. I only took folic acid and vit D (liquid form) and I'm currently nearly 18 weeks. Right brfore I conceived this time. I came off everything bar folic acid and vit d. Every professional told me the multi vitamins are an expensive con. Unless your doc points out that there is a deficiency, I'd go natural and let your body do it's thing. Worked for me. I use a natural brand called viridian

Mummysparrow · 16/11/2024 12:54

@Ella31 I was on just just usual iron supplement (which has B12 and folic acid in) when I conceived last time but because of the Trisomy 16 and being 35 I was a bit concerned about my egg quality so that's why I am currently taking OVUM fertility supplements in the hope it improves my egg quality. I am also borderline PCOS so it's hard to know whether to strip back to bare basics again

Oh I get you, would you ask your gp (you probably already have) about supplements. I hope I can give you some peace though that sometimes the grief can just prolong conception. In my two mc's, I conceived month 1 and month two and with my late sons, month 1. This current baby 8 months to conceive, I was going mental. Had every test under the sun, tests were perfect and then just in month 8 I saw a bfp. I definitely was calmer in month 8 though I think I had just decided it'll either happen naturally or ill look into other options and then boom.

I'm obviously not saying the horrible just relax cliche but you are definitely within the normal range it takes to conceive again and I know for a fact that grief and stress plays an absolute blinder in this. I'll be rooting for you xxx

Mummysparrow · 16/11/2024 16:18

@Ella31 I did feel like I was relaxing more but the grief is a little more raw this week especially with another negative test and the due date nearing. It does make me appreciate my daughter more and I count my blessings that I have her. I think I focus on Christmas this month and I may not track etc. Easier said then done but my period will be due about a week before Christmas and I don't want to be a Debbie downer if I don't get pregnant again next cycle.
I have had loads of tests and a private scan too. Got a NHS scan in 2 weeks too .... Mainly to check for fibroids but the private one looked.like there was no fibroids, just a defect around the c section sight and loads of follicles in one ovary x

Reyttc · 17/11/2024 11:13

@MrsS11 congratulations, wishing you a happy and healthy pregnancy 💗

@Mummysparrow I take the pregnacare conception multivitamin, on top of that I take 100mg vitamin b6 and a high strength vitamin D. I find that this combination works well for my cycle, I usually get a peak ovulation test on cycle day 15 and then I have a 12 day luteal phase. Without the vitamins I can ovulate as late as cycle day 22 and only have a 8 or 9 day luteal phase. It took a lot of trial and error for me to find the right vitamins. However, I’m no medical professional, I just did a lot of research on mumsnet reading threads from women who had similar issues to me.

I’m 9dpo today and don’t have any pregnancy tests in the house. I’m tempted to buy some when I go food shopping today but then at the same time I don’t know whether to wait and see if AF turns up next week.

Mummysparrow · 18/11/2024 11:02

Sitting waiting for my period to start so I can go on to cycle number 5 😭

Mummysparrow · 19/11/2024 10:10

Period has arrived so back to cd1 of cycle number 5. This is new territory for me after getting pregnant a lot quicker with both of my previous pregnancies. Fingers crossed I can get a BFP before Christmas but if honest my hope for that is dwindling

Confusedmermaid1 · 19/11/2024 11:18

Also feeling the pressure of the year ending.. not really sure why other than it will mark a year TTC in Jan with two losses along the way and I was hoping to be pregnant before my due date for my MMC in early Feb
Had a phone call with my GP last night about my short cycles since the MC and it went better than I had hoped, going in for an exam and some blood tests tomorrow morning
I was fully expecting to be fobbed off as they’d previously said no testing until after 3 MCs but I think the fact I’m spotting days before my period which isn’t the norm for me and my cycles have changed means he sees a reason to do some tests
Feeling hopeful that if there is something going on other than my body recovering from the loss that we will get some answers 🤞🏼

DonnaWhat · 24/11/2024 21:58

@Confusedmermaid1 I Hope you get some answers.

How is everyone? Where is everyone in their cycles?

Confusedmermaid1 · 24/11/2024 22:04

@DonnaWhat by the time of my appointment he had backtracked after an apparent conversation with a colleague (I think looked at the nhs website tbh) and said 21 days is a normal cycle no testing until after another loss 🙄 I said it certainly wasn’t normal for me but it’s like talking to a brick wall
I’ve ordered hertility but it was too late to use by the time it came so if this cycle is not the one I’ll try it in the next one..

PensivePencil · 24/11/2024 22:38

hey @DonnaWhat I’m 14DPO I think, period due on Tues…… I won’t test till after then. My head is completely and utterly scrambled with it all.

how are you getting on?

Beanie14 · 25/11/2024 01:27

Hi Hope everyone is doing ok, currently around 6dpo. Totally fed up with trying tbh.

Reyttc · 25/11/2024 14:33

Not good news from me sadly. After finally getting pregnant again 17 cycles after my missed miscarriage I think I’m having another loss.

My hcg is 140 today (I’m 4 weeks 4 days from last missed period however I did ovulate at cycle day 17 so I could be a few days earlier) so I need to go back for another test on Wednesday to see if it has doubled. The nurse said it was on the low side but did try to reassure me that I’m early.

I had a feeling something was wrong as my tests from 15dpo and 16dpo looked the same and this morning at 17dpo I only got 1-2 weeks on clearblue.

Ncl31 · 25/11/2024 19:58

Hi everyone, I believe I ovulated either Saturday or Sunday. My peak OPK wasn’t startling but I’ve had EWCM and a temp spike.
Hopefully we’ve done enough this cycle. DH is now away until 23rd December and Premom predicts I’ll ovulate next cycle on Christmas Day which if it’s right will be perfect timing for him coming home.
clearly, I’d rather not need to ovulate next month because I get a BFP. I’m due AF just before DH birthday. Whilst that would be lovely, we found out I was pregnant with our little bean on DHs birthday last year which sadly ended in mc.

PensivePencil · 25/11/2024 22:13

Sorry to hear that @Reyttc 😔 sounds like there’s still some hope for Wed though?

I had some spotting earlier, trying to convince myself it’s implantation bleeding, but pretty sure I know. Did everything perfectly this cycle too 🤷‍♀️

PensivePencil · 26/11/2024 08:12

Looks like in out this month, period most definitely here. Has anyone had therapy / counselling around TTC? Im scrambled, I feel like im holding it together by a thread, staying in a job I hate in case I get pregnant.

Anyway! Crossing fingers for the rest of you ❤️
