Thinking of booking a private scan with window to the womb to see if there’s any reason why I'm not able to get pregnant. Anyone else had one?

Have u had a hyfosy to check your tubes ?

Please can I join? To cut a long story short I had a mmc 15 months ago and we’ve been trying to get pregnant again ever since. We had a potential chemical in June where we had a positive test but then my period came a week late.

Just started initial fertility tests with the NHS, so far we’ve confirmed I’m ovulating and my progesterone levels and thyroid levels are all fine. My partners results have also come back as normal too so now I’m on a waiting list for further testing with the NHS fertility clinic.

Today is either 2dpo or 3dpo as I had peak LH tests 24 hours apart, both the exact same measurement on Premom… I think I’m more likely 2dpo as I’m guessing my true peak would have been the morning of the second day but I didn’t test until later.

Hi

Have you ever paid for a private hyfosy to get your tubes checked ?

That would be my advice

We had an early miscarriage last yr

But even so - this year - a private hyfosy showed blocked tubes

Nhs wait was 4 months here

So we paid 515 gbp for a private 1

Heartypandaa · 10/11/2024 23:03

Hello ladies,
Hope to join you all, i had a MC earlier this year and a chemical last month... been on this journey for a year...

Currently my cycle is a mess after the cp dont know if i ovulated or not so just waiting for the next cycle to start.

I really sympathize with what @Figtree11 said on her old post, almost a year since first lost, should be here with my 3 month old baby... regretting not having starting ttc earlier really.

Beanie14 · 10/11/2024 23:10

@worldwidetravel2017 no did you book this private? where did you get it done?
I’ve been referred to fertility clinic but wait is up to 12 months to be seen

Yes it was private.

Most big fertility clinics with a private side will let you have 1

Just type private hyfosy and your nearest city into Google

Had it done at a fertility clinic

Def worth doing

Dya mind me asking if your under or over 35 ?

Additionally - i really rate hertility health

Have used them twice

150 gbp very well spent

Theyll do many hormone bloods for you and amh - ovarian reserve

Beanie14 · 11/11/2024 08:09

I’m 34. So I’ve had all my hormones
checked with the GP and everything was normal and progesterone level suggests I ovulate.
There isn’t anywhere local by me that does hyfosy but found a clinic about an hour away that does it for £495 but will only offer this test if you’ve had an initial consultation and an ultrasound which is another £200.
its so expensive :(

Notsure31 · 11/11/2024 09:59

I’m a long time lurker but thought it might be the right time to join the thread. To explain my story I had 3 back to back losses in 2021 and no living children. My losses were with a previous partner, we broke up shortly after. I spent a bit of time healing before meeting my current partner. I already had a diagnosis of Hashimotos before my pregnancies. My losses were a missed miscarriage, chemical pregnancy and blighted ovum in that order, the blighted ovum was tested and it was a chromosome issue but neither me nor my ex partner had the translocation. I’ve had all the recurrent miscarriage testing locally and also had a referral to Tommys in 2022 where I had additional NK cell testing and as part of the Cerm trial which found endometritis. I took part in the full trial and suspect I had the placebo, however I’ve recently had a repeat hysteroscopy for this locally which can back clear. Me and my current partner are now going to ttc next cycle. He had a basic sperm test through the GP, he has no children or history of ttc but is aware of my worries due to my difficulties, this came back fine and he has a high sperm count. We have both been taking proceive and additional omega 3 and co-q10 and vitamin D. We have both been aware and trying to make lifestyle changes. The break has probably done me good but I’m so anxious about ttc again and having more losses. I also conceived first cycle every time last time and I know it’s irrational because it’s normal for it to take a little while but I know it will send me worrying if I don’t conceive first cycle as I previously always have. Is anyone in a similar boat? I also had a diagnosis of endometriosis when I was 19 (now 32), I’ve never had another flare up but recently have been having more heavy periods and more painful, I’m under gynaecology because of my losses but I’ve been struggling to get them to investigate this past having the hysteroscopy.

Reyttc · 11/11/2024 17:50

I’m due to get my NHS fertility appointment next month (been on the waiting list since August) so I’m just going to wait and get the hycosy done by them.

@Notsure31 sorry to hear that, it sounds like you’ve had a tough time!

What cycle day is everyone and how are we all feeling?

Confusedmermaid1 · 11/11/2024 18:46

CD22/6dpo

Should be feeling more optimistic than last month as my last cycle was only 21 days with spotting starting at around 5dpo (ovulated later this month) and I’m trying to stay positive but I’ve been so crampy so I’m sure AF will be arriving soon 🙈 I even had a dream that I wasn’t pregnant this month last night 😅

DH is the eternal optimist and he’s got a ‘good feeling’ apparently so let’s hope he’s got enough optimism for the both of us 😂

Mummysparrow · 12/11/2024 08:57

7dpo and I am trying to be more chill this month but the craziness has already gotten to me and I have already tested. I have had some cramps, bad indigestion and boobs are slightly sore.
Although the test is negative, I feel like it isnt completely white if I zoom in 🤦
Going to try to hold off testing again until 9dpo

14DPO and BFN.
no sign of AF yet, hope it arrives soon. DH is away from 29/11 for 3 weeks so we will miss next cycle.
it’ll give me chance to relax around Christmas and enjoy a few festivities I guess

Heartypandaa · 12/11/2024 21:14

Hello ladies hope you are doing better than i am 🥺

@Ncl31 keep testing you still have a chance if no af sign 🤞🏻
@Confusedmermaid1 that's promising girl baby dust to you then, keep us updated

I'm feeling rubish CD29 not knowing where i stand is so hard. And the days are going so so so so slow! Am i the only one?

Ncl31 · 13/11/2024 20:09

@Heartypandaa AF has arrived in full force this evening 🥺
so I’m feeling a little deflated right now. I totally understand where you’re coming from though. I used to have very very long cycles with my PCOS, the only reason they’re more regular now is due to medication.
have you had any tests?

Beanie14 · 13/11/2024 22:01

Welcome newbies but sorry you find yourself here. Sorry to those who are having a confusing cycle and for AF arriving, it’s just so disheartening isn’t it.
New cycle might be the one though keeping fingers crossed for everyone xxx
cycle day 9 here haven’t been testing looks or bbt last 2 months as I’m finding it so stressful, hoping a lucky week of DTD regularly will do the trick. Would be the best Christmas prezzie though xx

Notsure31 · 14/11/2024 06:42

Just out of interest which app is everyone using? I was using Premom when ttc years ago before I’m wondering if this is still the best one? I will be using bbt and ovulation testing.

Bellabubble · 14/11/2024 17:00

I’m still here but quiet as I’m just waiting for a cylce to start! 4 weeks post MVA so waiting for AF to return. I couldn’t pinpoint ovulation as my LH strips were high but I was also getting positives on pregnancy tests. Since the negative test the LH tests have all been low. I might just keep testing as I found a box that just went out of date (last month) and see how I get on - but I think we won’t be ttc until December time (if AF comes back soon)

Welcome and sorry to those that have joined the thread recently. I have my fingers crossed and lots of positive thoughts for everyone x

Ella31 · 14/11/2024 18:18

@Beanie14 I second the hycosy I had one the month i fell pregnant with current pregnancy. Although my tubes were perfect, the doctor said it essentially flushes them out and after 8 months of trying after losing my twins, I fell.

I also recommend a folicle scan. Don't know the name as such but basically they showed me in a scan around when I thought I was ovulating that the egg was ripe to burst so I dtd around then. It was really helpful to see that.

Beanie14 · 14/11/2024 19:00

@Ella31 Thanks for the advice, I’ll deffo consider it in the new year if it doesn’t happen before then. I won’t have to pay for child care then so I’ll have more free funds xx

I know so little about the NHS as I'm in Ireland but can you be referred to a fertility hub as they are called here.

Reyttc · 14/11/2024 19:52

I’m 6dpo today and feel weirdly calm about whether I’m pregnant or not this cycle, not complaining though!

@Notsure31 I use Premom to track ovulation with LH tests and I’ve always used flo to track my period even before ttc. I don’t do bbt though.

@Bellabubble my AF returned 5 weeks after my MVA, I wasn’t ovulation testing in those 5 weeks though so can’t comment on that. Hope you’re feeling okay 💗

Beanie14 · 15/11/2024 01:36

@Ella31 i have been referred to fertility clinic with NHS but unfortunately there’s a 12 month wait in my area :( so will have to be private if I have any hope of conceiving soon.
