@Ella31
Im so sorry for your losses also. It’s the most terrible thing, nobody should ever have to go through.

We really debated whether I wait or not, but I’m fully expecting it to be an emotional rollercoaster TTC and I don’t want to spend months healing then get thrown right back again.
congratulations on your rainbow 🌈

@Peanutbutterjelly123 I tried again way too soon tbh. And as you know burying a child is extremely traumatic, I had difficulty separating the want for my twin boys back and the desire for another baby. They were our first so, even now at 35 weeks, the anxiety is horrible waiting for it to work out. It took a good while to conceive again which I put down to grief.

I lost my sons at Christmas 23, and I conceived this baby Autumn 24. I went back trying after a few weeks after my emergency c-section. Total madness and not a good idea but I was traumatised and desperate for what I lost. What followed was 7 months of grief and anger. I didn't process my babies deaths but I had to face it eventually.

January is so recent for you as I said, I was where you were a year and a bit ago. So be easy on yourself and kind to yourself. I hope you are getting the support you need as well.

That has crossed my mind to be honest. Just taking it one day at a time for now. We have been very well supported through family/friends/hospital.

your rainbow will be here soon, and there will be a whole different type of worry. But it will be worth every minute & they will be here safely soon 🩷

our boy was our second, we already have our toddler at home who has kept us busy, and maybe pulled us through it quicker than if we hadn’t had her xx

You'll be in my thoughts on this hard journey and reach out anytime. I found great support in people who had been through similar at the time. And please don't worry about the trying again, in good time, you'll feel that confidence again. X

Hello, I was just wondering if anyone had any helpful tips for using the easy@home LH strips?
I usually use the Clearblue but as I’m not sure about my cycles after the miscarriage I’ve gone for a cheaper option! Any help would be very appreciated ❤️

I use the easy@home strips.
I usually rest in the morning with SMU and if it’s getting darker I test again in the afternoon to try and catch the peak.

i used to use the clear blue ones but I switched because they are so expensive

Thank you!
I’m CD 14 (counting mc as day1) and the test was quite dark. Can any left over HCG mess with this do you know?

And yes the price of Clearblue is ridiculous… and the fact you can’t buy the sticks separately 🤯

It possibly can, have you done a HPT to check that it’s negative?
i had a surgical management on 5th March so taking that as day 1.
very light line on OPK yesterday. I got my negative HPT on day 7, well that’s when I tested

curliegirlie · 20/03/2025 09:51

I hate this first cycle after a loss. I MC Sunday before last at just shy of 6 weeks. I got my negative test on a One Step a couple of days ago.

OPKs are driving me crazy. First of all they never got in any way dark when I was actually pregnant, which in retrospect may have been a warning that things weren't going too well. Then they were darker than usual for early in my cycle earlier this week (0.2ish). Now this morning my OPK was really faint again. So looks like I won't be having another early ovulation cycle this time (currently CD12) but I'm hoping I might at least have my usual CD15 or 16 🤞🤞

Bellabubble · 20/03/2025 11:30

@curliegirlie I would keep testing definitely. My last loss back in Oct, I was reading fairly high on opks and also still had hcg in my system. I was a bit different as it was my 3rd loss and my cycle didn’t come back for about 11weeks, but I did do opks and spotted my peak. I just chose not to ttc that time as we were in the middle of a sick bug in the house. I’m now back to my regular cycle where I ovulate between days 14-16, so you might catch this one if you keep testing, but if not hopefully you are back to your regular super quick 🤞🏻 x

I have used them throughout - I find them really simple to use and also use the free premom app aswell. As it gets darker and the app logs it as high, I do 2 tests a day to catch my peak. I have had success in the conceiving with these, it is progressing in pregnancy that seems to be my issue. I did find after my last pregnancy loss, that while I still had positive pregnancy test (even when they were feint) I was getting high opks. Definitely double check your hcg, if that is negative then the dark opk sounds like it is a good sign!

Hi,

I’ve posted before on this thread but unfortunately I’ve found myself back here again. I’ve had 3 recurrent miscarriages, and I’ve just had a TFMR at 16 weeks after getting pregnant again in December. It was a chromosome problem so we have been referred back to genetics, but there’s only a small chance it was genetic it’s more likely it was random. They’ve said genetics referral can take a long time but if we get pregnant again beforehand it will speed it up. This is the first time I was on aspirin and progesterone and the first time I carried this far.

I’m feeling so conflicted because I miss our little girl so much, but we want to try again soon. Just wondering if anyone else gets this? I’m back to taking my vitamins (proceive, coq-10, omega 3, vitamin D, high dose folic acid), I kept up with the necessary ones through pregnancy but I struggled to stomach more than that due to the sickness, and partner also takes the male version of proceive.
We are both keeping up with not drinking this time, leading up to last pregnancy that’s one thing we didn’t do and was drinking 2-3 alcoholic drinks on a Friday and Saturday night.

We have decided to wait at least until my first period and probably ttc that cycle. Every time I’ve been pregnant I’ve conceived first cycle so I don’t think my body knows how to reject the abnormal embryos.

I’m just wondering how long others periods took to come back and if it’s true you’re more fertile after a loss? I’ve always had a break between losses so I’ve never tried this out.

With my first miscarriage I conceived after 3 months, I miscarried that pregnancy and conceived straight away without a period. It looks like I ovulated after 3-4 weeks. I just had my dating scan which is further than I got with the previous two pregnancies.

So sorry you find yourself here again.

I had a TFMR at the end of June last year. I had a bleed which was very like a period about a month later however I then had a 17 day cycle so suspect this wasn’t a proper cycle. So I would say 2 months to get back to a normal regular cycle.

We have only just started trying again from January. We both needed a bit of time to recover mentally. My partner found it especially difficult as this was his first experience of pregnancy. I thought I would want to try again straight away but I wasn’t ready. I still find it hard to think or talk about now. I hope you have some good support around you and wish you all the luck on your TTC journey.

Also regarding genetic testing. We got our final results in October. That included us both having to go for testing too

Does anyone else here ovulate “too early”? I am trying not to over medicalize what happened, but I’m wondering if I caused it that way? I tend to ovulate on day 7-9 of my cycle and I’ve been reading that could cause issues?

I have the opposite problem. Day 23 this cycle. I try not to worry about it too much as everyone is different but some months I find that easier to do than others

Peanutbutterjelly123 · 21/03/2025 15:03

@Matthew54 I ovulated day 9 the cycle I conceived my daughter, so while it may be a problem it’s not always :)

@Notsure31 slightly different but we had a late toss (35 weeks) & my cycle has only just come back almost 11 weeks PP xx

SnakebitesandSambucas · 21/03/2025 16:13

I noticed before this current pregnancy. And in between my misscarriges and my youngest. That I was bleeding and spotting on and off for nearly 7-8 days before I had my actual period. I stopped tracking ovulation and fertile days and stuff before this one as had 2 operations before hand. And was planning more to be done.

Bellabubble · 21/03/2025 17:56

@SnakebitesandSambucas I was the same - spotting before every cycle, although it wasn’t consistent, one month could have been only 3 days and another 7 days etc.

Esssa · 21/03/2025 17:57

Hi everyone. Just skim read the last few weeks posts. Sorry you are all dealing with this shitty situation. I'm on day 2 of a miscarriage when I should be 8 weeks today. It's my 6th pregnancy and should have been my third child. I didn't come here before TTC this pregnancy as I had 2 successful pregnancies one after the other and was hoping this would just follow suit.

Unfortunately life had other plans and I went from absolutely fine one day to waking up with bleeding the next. I did get scanned yesterday and they couldn't find anything but thickened lining so I don't actually know how long the pregnancy lasted. I'm willing to bet it ended a couple of weeks ago at least as symptoms weren't as strong I expected. One of my previous losses was a MMC found at the 12 week scan so I know my body can hang on longer than necessary when it's not viable.

I'm interested in any supplement suggestions as I'm getting on a bit now at 37 so I guess every little helps. I've been taking folic acid and pregnancy vitamins as I should be on high dose folic acid anyway.noh and aspirin from positive test like with my previous 2.

Again, sorry we are all here. I've had good support from threads like this in the past. It's definitely helpful when things are getting a bit much.

Did you find it harder with the MMC around at 12 weeks?
Ik really struggling with mine today.
can you tell me about aspirin? What dose do you take? Only when you get a positive test?
I was on progesterone this time and wonder if that’s why my body hung on to the pregnancy. I’m glad in a way because it stopped growing when I was in NYC and that would have been awful.

Bellabubble · 21/03/2025 21:59

@Esssa i’m currently on pregnancy number 5 but it is super esrly and I sadly don’t have much faith in my body (I have one bubba - well child now) but I have taken seven seas trying for a baby this time round as it had high levels of b12 and b6 that I was told can play a part in early pregnancy loss. That’s what an ex midwife mentioned when I had an early scan on one of my pregnancies (it was an anembryonic pregnancy that time). When I concieved my successful pregnancy, I had taken b12 and 6 on top of some cheapy folic acid. I also take co q 10 for egg quality (I’m 41 - had my first at 37) and also took a low dose of aspirin the time I went full term, and have just started again today. My body also like to hold on to them too - be kind to yourself x
