@KT199 thanks. If I keep my job and expecting I would be thrilled. It would be extra anxiety if I lost my job and was expecting....trying to job hunt whilst chained to the sofa/toilet if previous pregnancies are anything were to go by. We would make the best of what ever situation now I just want to know where we are! Once I find out about my job I'll test.

Ncl31 · 10/02/2025 06:47

@Superscientist when are you likely to find out about your job?
i can’t imagine for how stressful that is for you

Superscientist · 10/02/2025 08:24

@Ncl31 The current timeline is interviews this week and we find out next week who's successful so not too long to wait but also it's all very soon!
They have said they will be paying our notice period rather than getting us to work our notice so my last day would be the day I find out.
I have started reaching out to contacts to explore what other jobs are around.

Goodness me that is stressful! Fingers crossed your successful and that’s one less thing to worry about x

TrulyMiss · 10/02/2025 11:24

Absolute best of luck with the job @Superscientist. It's a very hard position to be in!
I got my period so now trying to battle to get a scan to see if my cyst is gone as no point taking more clomid if it's still there, it won't work. The doctor told me to come in at the start of my cycle so I don't have to put myself through meds unnecessarily but his wagon of a secretary has offered me a scan...in 10 days time when I'd be long finished the meds! So frustrating to have to keep advocating for myself again and again

Mummysparrow · 10/02/2025 21:58

I hope everyone is well. I occasionally keep tabs on the chat and hope everyone is ok.
I had my surgery 2 weeks ago to fix my c section defect and also found stage 4 endometriosis which was removed. I have to wait until end of April before I can TTC again. In a way I am wishing the year away but I am trying to enjoy not having the stress that comes with TTC. I hope you all have your BFP before I am back in the chat

TrulyMiss · 11/02/2025 14:30

@Mummysparrow hope the recovery goes well! I know what you mean - sometimes it's a weird kind of relief to have things taken out of your hands but then I also struggle with the passage of time. Can't do an upside down emoji on here but if there was ever a time for one!!

I managed to get in for a scan yesterday in the end and my cyst is gone so bs k on clomid since last night. At the moment I'm thinking I can manage two more cycles but I reserve the right to change my mind if it's better/worse than expected!

Nosejug · 11/02/2025 14:30

@Mummysparrow I've only ever had short spells of not being able to ttc in the last 3 years, but it is actually kind of nice being forced to step back. Like getting to be in my 20s again where periods were just a part of my rhythm. Hope you can enjoy the next couple of months

@Superscientist I hope there's positive news at the bottom of the nausea! And I hope there's positive news soon about your job whichever way you want it to go.

TrulyMiss · 17/02/2025 12:44

How is everyone doing? I feel the clomid isn't working this month. Will find out for sure on Friday but I had this sense last month and I was right. After years of monitoring, I'm very attuned to the signs etc. In a way I'd welcome it because at least then it would be clear that it's the end of the journey and I could just move on!

Bellabubble · 17/02/2025 17:17

@TrulyMiss Sometimes it can feel like a relief to have something beyond our control help signify the end - like you don’t have to feel like you made the decision totally independently! I’m 41 in a couple of months so have decided that I’ll go to the end of this year then call it quits if we don’t fall pregnant again.

I have some spotting today - so definitely a sign AF is on its way (there would have been a time where I held out hope itbwas implantation, but it happens so often now that I know it means a new cycle is about to start!) so a bit meh but I do fall relatively quickly, it’s more the keeping pregnancies that I struggle with, so I’m holding on to hope that it won’t be too much longer 🤞🏻🤞🏻

SnakebitesandSambucas · 17/02/2025 17:57

Tbh I do think you get to a certain point where it just flicks in your brain. I was very close to that point I threw out / donated all my baby stuff away! As I decided my body does not want me too keep babies. I regret a bit now, but I know I was mentally trying to heal .

TrulyMiss · 17/02/2025 20:23

It would definitely be a relief I think! To be honest either way it's allowed me to imagine a life where I put it behind me. The clomid side effects really take it out of me and I would love to get back to exercising properly and to feel good again in my head and my body. I worked out today that I've spent 14 months over 2 years between 8 months of drugs, two miscarriages and the aftermath. Maybe that's enough

Fullofconfusion · 18/02/2025 08:47

I’m 2 days late for my period. Having proper pre period type cramps and according to Flo we didn’t do any baby dancing in my fertile window. I was poorly for that week so I thought I had no chance this month but…can you guys see this too?

Our TFMR angel baby was conceived in February last year

Superscientist · 18/02/2025 09:11

I can see a line @Fullofconfusion
Congratulations!

I was made redundant on Friday and got a positive pregnancy test too. I have since done a week's one and got a 3+!

@TrulyMiss it's a lot. Do you have someone to talk to? It sounds like a neutral ear might help

Melusina123 · 18/02/2025 09:19

Mega congrats @Fullofconfusion (that's definitely a line) and @Superscientist ! Sorry to hear you were made redundant though - such unlucky timing.

Fullofconfusion · 18/02/2025 09:33

@Superscientist oh goodness. Huge congratulations. How awful to be made redundant at the same time. I bet you have a whole bunch of mixed emotions at the moment. I didn’t qualify for maternity pay when I fell pregnant with my first and got the maternity allowance from the government instead.

thank you…I’m not believing it just yet

TrulyMiss · 18/02/2025 10:28

Congrats @Superscientist! I saw your good news on the other thread but didn't want to out you here! Hard to have lovely news and less good news at the same time though. Is there any point in fighting the redundancy? This has happened in my work recently so DM me if you like.

I do have a great therapist and I'm actually chatting to her later. As I am constantly telling my family though, she doesn't have a magic wand which is really what I need!!!

SnakebitesandSambucas · 18/02/2025 11:31

@Superscientist congratulations

Superscientist · 18/02/2025 12:25

Thanks everyone. Yes mixed emotions. Just trying to get through the next few weeks and go from there.

Unfortunately I don't think there is @TrulyMiss all of us were evenly matched and the narrow aspect of the role they chose to judge it on just didn't reflect my experience. We were a team of 6 and gone down to 3. The others that were let go were equally qualified but also didn't have the experience in this area. If they weren't getting rid of half of us I probably would have challenged it.

TrulyMiss · 18/02/2025 20:38

@Superscientist if the experience assessed wasn't appropriate there might be something there but equally you might not want the stress. I hope they're giving a top up which will ease the transition. Obviously only mention what you feel comfortable with!

Superscientist · 19/02/2025 08:54

@TrulyMiss do you mind if I message you. It might be a bit outing thanks x

TrulyMiss · 19/02/2025 11:05

@Superscientist yes of course!

Ncl31 · 19/02/2025 13:40

@Fullofconfusion i can definitely see that line, congratulations!
@Superscientist sorry to hear you were made redundant. Just catching up after being away the last week. But excellent news on your BFP!

DonnaWhat · 19/02/2025 20:01

@Fullofconfusion @Superscientist tentative congratulations to you both. X

Fullofconfusion · 20/02/2025 08:52

Thanks ladies
The lines on my test aren’t progressing. I think this may be a chemical.

The first test I did with the line was a one step and I’ve since done easy at home as it was my last one step test so I hope it’s just that it’s a different test. But I think the easy at home ones are actually more sensitive and the lines are definitely lighter than the initial test.

I’ve not had a chemical before. I assume I just wait for my period to start now.
