TTC for those taking longer than average ✨

I just wanted to start a thread for those who’ve been trying for a little while (or a long while) and it doesn’t seem to be happening. It’s great seeing all the positives on the TTC threads but I’m starting to find it a little disheartening as it seems to be happening quickly for almost everyone but me! Statistics seem to vary but suggest between 60-70% of couples get pregnant within three months. We’ll be heading into cycle 5 shortly TTC our first, both in our early 30s.

Is anyone else in a similar situation?

@Confusedddddddd I think it did, my AMH went from 8.6 to 12 after been on it and all my embryos are 5aa/5ab graded. Now I know that doesn't mean a guarantee but doctor said it was a good "haul" as such 😂

@RRAEE sorry you’re still having a tough time and the clinic isn’t being helpful. I completely understand the weight loss with PCOS issue, it’s so hard. They’ve told me I could do with losing a few pounds but it’s so so difficult.

I’ve pretty much stopped actively tracking for now. Haven’t been tracking this cycle, it’s all too much. I’m sort of in the head space now of if it happens it happens, but not putting pressure on it.

Maybe 2025 will be our year!

@Daniki which brand and dose did you take? Finding very little info about it compared to other supplements

@Confusedddddddd I took the Youth & Earth brand, the sublingual powder. I got the 30g bag and only took the recommended amount that was on the packet which was 2 scoops every day. They have articles about it on that website too and usually have good 25% discounts. From what I read before a lower dose is usually more beneficial but on another thread I was on there was women with POI who took like 700g a day, but sure you'd want to be minted to afford that 😂

@Daniki genuinely so sorry for you. Hopefully it happens soon. When will you be able to have another round (if that’s what you’re planning to do of course)?

I will be 35 this coming year, so I think realistically I should just call it quits. I have a docs appt early Jan for more blood tests and hycosy, so will see what comes of that and take it from there

@Marie1990x I just turned 36 so I defo know the panic you're feeling but see how you get on with doc app! We're hoping to do another transfer in jan or feb, depends on money really as we got lumped with a bit of a tax bill unexpectedly 🙈 said we'd give it a go naturally this month just to see but not really holding out much hope and I have an appt with a reproductive immunologist at the end of jan so looking forward to that!

I hope you don’t me joining the chat! I’m 35 and 10 cycles in ttc no 2. Had two pregnancies where I fell pregnant 1st and second cycle. One ended in MMC and the other my DD a prem birth at 29 weeks.
Had some pain and a few weird symptoms. Other than a swollen kidney nothing else has come back. I just don’t know what to do next or when. Obviously worried about leaving it too late and feel like I need a plan!

@Daniki yes you definitely feel the pressure more when you reach mid 30’s don’t you, damn biological clock!
I think if you have the embryos there then it’s definitely worth it right? Of course understand money wise isn’t great. What an emotional whirlwind for you.
Definitely might as well try naturally in the meantime. And the upcoming appointment is positive, hopefully can get some help and good information ☺️🤞🏻.

@Diamond89 really sorry to hear about your MC and preemie. It’s such a head f**k knowing what to do isn’t it. I keep saying I’m the verge of giving up, but then can never cut the strings.

I ditched the OPK’s this month and today for some niggly feeling and increased cm, so checked my app and low and behind its predicted ovulation day. It has been nice not having the pressure of testing. Will dtd tonight, but not expecting much as we haven’t dtd much this week (along with the 2+ years of ttc with no BFP 😅)

@Marie1990x hey! Just preparing for our next transfer. Started meds last week, and have a scan on Tuesday to check lining and get a date, hopefully the last week of jan 🥰 how are you getting on?

I have my next round of tests coming up. Annoyingly I’ve had to rearrange them a few times for one reason or another, but hopefully get them done this time

Got a phone call end of month with the gynae again but im not hopeful for anything from them.

@Marie1990x oh glad you've tests coming, what's the first tests you'll be getting?
No reason but the miscarriage clinic have given me immunosuppressant meds to take if I get pregnant so hoping that will help 🤞🏻

@Daniki its just blood tests and something they’ve described as similar to a smear. I haven’t heard anything from the consultant since my appointment in November, so I’m presuming they need the results from these before next steps.

Oh perfect, that’s good they’re given you something so can hopefully ease your mind when (not if 😊) it happens.

Resuming TTC this month
We tried since 2022. Fell in Feb 24 and miscarried as ectopic. Then fell again in May but lost it due genetic abnormality. Avoided TTC all of Aug/Sept/Oct and dipping toes in lightlu but back into it full force this month

I am trying for no1 following a late miscarriage in November 2023. We have been trying since January 23 and nothing yet!

Starting to get concerned but it has been a stressful year with family illness/death so not really in the best health myself.

Hoping this is the year for us!

Hi everyone - you seem like such a lovely and supportive bunch, so decided to make my own account and join you all!
We have been ttc #1 for what will soon have been 7 cycles. Today was 12dpo and BFN, must admit sadness and worry is starting to seep in as the time goes by.
Keeping everything crossed for you @RRAEE, and wish you strength in the wait! I find it so hard to stay distracted :)

@SaltoMortale welcome! It’s such a stressful time isn’t it! Hate it when everyone says “just relax and forget about it and it’ll happen”, so much easier said than done!

I had my tests this morning so at least that step is done. Not sure if the results will even help determine anything, but hopefully means the next consultation will be scheduled soon 🤞🏻.

I didn’t track last cycle, but I’m going to this time as I couldn’t cope with not knowing precisely my peak 😂

@Marie1990x I know, that is the worst! Also one of my closest friends fell pregnant with a guy she has not been dating for very long and she said “It is so easy, first go! Really, if you just paid attention in biology class it happens much quicker than they say!”. This happened on my CD1 so I just bursted out into tears - I am usually not that dramatic 😅

I have hormone blood tests scheduled for Feb / March and my husband will do SA, so maybe we will get more answers - or we are just a statistical fluke. Either way hopefully it will happen soon! 😊

@SaltoMortale aghh it just happens so easily for some people doesn’t it! It’s hard to explain the feeling to those who don’t understand isn’t it. Don’t blame you for getting dramatic about it I’d be the same 😂.

That’s great you have some tests coming up though, hopefully get an understand of what’s going on.

@Daniki they just said the usual “you should get the results in around a week”. My last tests took forever but others have come through the next day. I’ll continue checking my NHS app psychotically until they’re through 😂

@SaltoMortale my friend has had two kids in the time ive been trying, its so hard when it happens so easy for others.
