@Rainbowsunshine81 absolutely keep an eye on that cough are you on prednisone as well as normally that will help with a cough but it also suppresses the immune system as well as the intralipids so your body won’t be able to fight it the way it normally would. I totally second the not going to and and e I wouldn’t go either. So many times a dr or nurse has told me all Is fine you don’t need treatment in fact I nearly died of sepsis coz a dr told me I was fine and there was nothing wrong so trust your instincts xxx

Rainbowsunshine81 · 21/05/2024 19:39

@Gizmo1983 Just intraplids and was told to be careful of crowded places. I think I'd rather trust a doctor than someone who wasn't the least bit bothered at the walk in. Will definitely be keeping an eye on things. Xxx

Newbeginnings22023 · 21/05/2024 20:48

Hi @Gizmo1983 thanks so much for your reply and wishes. We’ve been doing ivf for just under 3 years now, which is why I have decided to take a break now. It really does rob you of doing things you enjoy. It messed up work schedules, holiday plans, and having to heavily reduce my caffeine intake wasn’t fun! All for nothing, just heartbreak.

I hope your plan works out for you, and good luck with the pgta and all of it :) which clinic do you use? Xx

@Rainbowsunshine81 all the best with your cycle xx

@VenusStarr I hope you’re ok, it’s been a while xx

Rainbowsunshine81 · 21/05/2024 21:02

@Newbeginnings22023 Thank you ❤️ hope you're OK. Xx

lozzmax · 24/05/2024 13:57

Have just had to drive virtually all the way to Epsom and then back again because there is no electricity at the clinic. I'm pretty devastated not to get intralipids as I'll ovulate this weekend and their answer is 'just don't try this cycle' which is obviously EXTREMELY frustrating. Would anyone on this thread go for it anyway? I can never work out how much I believe in the intralipids (not that I'd tell that to Dr. S!)

VenusStarr · 24/05/2024 14:10

Lovely to hear from you @Newbeginnings22023 I'm so sorry about your recent transfer ❤️ there's just no rhyme or reason why some of us have such a difficult time. Sending you lots of love. I am finding the break is doing me the world of good (the increased dose of antidepressants has helped too). Are you seeking Dr S soon?
I'm just waiting for my 3 month blood check, my GP does it thankfully. I'm still off all immune meds at the moment. Dh isn't ready to do the final cycle, so just focusing on getting my body healthy. I've been doing weights and I love it. Doing classes as well but am starting to see some changes in my body and that's really motivating me.

Came on earlier this week but it was quite short and light, I'm not even sure I ovulated to be honest. I'm not tracking but my resting heart rate did show an increase.

@Rainbowsunshine81 how are you doing? Do you think you'll test early or wait for otd?

@Gizmo1983 how are you getting on? Hope the meds are OK. When are you expecting af? Do you start injections on day 2?

Hope you're getting on well @Sunflower360 do you have your first scan soon?

Hope everyone is doing well. We're off to see some friends down in Torquay. The weather is looking crap but it'll be a nice break I think. Love to all 💕

@lozzmax how frustrating!! Definitely try. I'm not convinced by intralipids. Especially at ovulation, so I'd definitely crack on 🙏

@VenusStarr thanks for your reply. I can't quite work out what the point of them is around ovulation anyway?

Hope you're well- enjoy your lovely long weekend 😊😊😊

Rainbowsunshine81 · 24/05/2024 15:25

@VenusStarr I'm going to be good and test on OTD. Ordered some frers from amazon to use next Wed, which is my test day. I've since been experiencing the lower back ache and the dull ache sensation at the front. I know it could be a number of things.

How are you?

Newbeginnings22023 · 24/05/2024 18:46

Thanks so much @VenusStarr. This one hit harder because this month marks 4 years since we started IVF. 7 transfers later and here we are. I’m so glad to hear the break and the meds are working for you, it’s such a difficult journey and sometimes we really just need a break from it all.

And yes I’m liaising with my TB specialist so I can get started on my latent TB treatment while I wait for my appointment with Dr S mid June so he can get me on the Humira. I’m also going to be asking him about the trio tests (EMMA/ERA/ALICE). Have you ever discussed these with him? I’d be interested to hear his views on these. I’ve been on modified natural FETs and my clinic only do ERAs for medicated cycles.

Sounds like a really good plan to get healthy while you plan your next steps. Exercise does wonders for the mind and body. I want to up my physical activity as well now that the weather’s nicer.

My period was lighter after my BFN as well, our bodies do the strangest things! Hope you enjoy your time off :) we’ll be in Bath and the forecast isn’t looking great either, oh well xxx

Hope everyone’s ok xxx

elarcoiris · 24/05/2024 19:10

@lozzmax Oh how frustrating! I was there yesterday and they were having all kinds of tech issues with the internet and computers — sounds like things have got worse today!

I would definitely say still try — if you’re following the rest of the protocol I’d still say there’s a decent chance of it being sufficient and can’t imagine it would make that much difference? If you were to get pregnant this cycle surely they’d get you in to have them at that point anyway?

Sunflower360 · 25/05/2024 08:23

@VenusStarr good to read you're feeling better. I'm ok, although I had light pink/brown spotting with a couple of wipes at 5+1 which cleared but increased Cyclogest to 4 a day anyway. I then experienced red bleeding when wiping at 5+5. It lasted for about 4 wipes and then went brown but was red nonetheless with tiny bitty clots. Had no cramps on either times. Spoke to the clinic and I'm now on 1 x lubion as well as 4 Cyclogest. No bleeding since then but nonetheless it doesn't fill me with much hope for the early pregnancy scan later next week. I'm 6 weeks today but can't say I notice any symptoms bar fatigue, so I'm kind of expecting a non viable pregnancy but in any case whatever happens its been progress from the previous FETs, will know soon enough anyway what's happening with this

Sunflower360 · 25/05/2024 08:28

I did do a pregnancy test after the most recent red when wiping at 5+5 and it was darker and strong but I understand things can go wrong even with high hcg so I'm not holding onto that. I won't test again now as the clinic advised not to as the scan will be the best indicator of what's happening

Gizmo1983 · 25/05/2024 16:57

Hi guys, @lozzmax would definitely go ahead with the cycle I’m sure I’ve read at mr s nhs clinic they don’t give intralipids. Xxx
hi @Sunflower360 got everything crossed for you there’s still a very high chance all will be ok it’s so common to bleed in the early stages xxx
@Rainbowsunshine81 hows the cough going? Hope youre feeling better xxx
hi @VenusStarr its so lovely to hear how positive you’re feeling I am just so so chuffed 😊😊😊just keep doing what you are doing xxx
im just finished the 6 days of norethisterone today not sure how long it takes you to bleed once you finish them, my meds were all delivered yesterday I go to the clinic on the 31st May they haven’t told me when I actually start the meds yet lol. We did try this month I’m still taking hydroxy but haven’t bothered with the steroids if I’d had any symptoms at all I would have but felt nothing so just didn’t bother. My diet still isn’t great but I’ve started being much better as of today better late than never I guess lol xxx

Rainbowsunshine81 · 25/05/2024 17:54

@Gizmo1983 Hi, there's times I feel like it's not too bad, then it kicks off with a vengeance! Trying hot ribena which is quite soothing. How are you doing? Xxx

Gizmo1983 · 25/05/2024 21:23

@Rainbowsunshine81 me and hubby had a bizarre cough that sounds just like that at Xmas it lingered on for ages in the end we both ended up on antibiotics but as long as it’s getting better not worse. Im doing ok thanks my back is still playing up they’ve found I have a torn disk that they think is pressing on the sciatic nerve they can inject the nerve to take away the pain it’s a 3 month wait 🤦‍♀️

Rainbowsunshine81 · 25/05/2024 21:39

@Gizmo1983 it's horrible, I did end up having one course of antibiotics that didn't shift the cough and ended up with two more which my doctor said was probably pneumonia. At times it doesn't feel too bad then kicks off.
Oh no that sounds really painful 😢 must be frustrating having to wait that amount of time 😕

Gizmo1983 · 27/05/2024 17:55

Hey how’s is everyone ❤️❤️❤️

Rainbowsunshine81 · 27/05/2024 18:51

@Gizmo1983 Hey, not too bad, how are you? ❤️❤️

Gizmo1983 · 27/05/2024 21:02

@Newbeginnings22023 im ok thank you we came out for a drive and ended up having a night in a castle so im quite happy lol it’s something different. Am sad the long weekend is over. How are you feeling? Xxx

Rainbowsunshine81 · 27/05/2024 21:05

@Gizmo1983 The night at a castle sounds fab!. Wish we had more bank holiday weekends! Xx

Rainbowsunshine81 · 27/05/2024 21:08

@Gizmo1983 Had a lazy Sunday and didn't do anything. Then today a stroll round the shops and tea out. Xxx

Gizmo1983 · 28/05/2024 10:52

@Rainbowsunshine81 that sounds just lovely I know they are just too far apart the bank hols aren’t they. Just leaving the castle now hubby has to be back at work this afternoon 🤦‍♀️. We are trying to think of new/spontaneousbthings to do lol. Our friend is camping in Cornwall at the mo and is having such a wonderful time they are thinking of moving there so thinking of trying there next. Maybe I should tie it in with intralipids kill 2 birds with one stone 😂😂😂

Gizmo1983 · 28/05/2024 10:55

@Rainbowsunshine81 lol maybe not just googled it Epsom is 6 hours from home and Cornwall is 5 hours from Epsom lol

lozzmax · 28/05/2024 10:59

@Gizmo1983 lol yes Cornwall is quite a way from Epsom! Where are you based?

The clinic still hasn't gotten back to me about intralipids after the Friday disaster. I'm quite upset and can't believe they haven't tried to fit me in today given they're the ones who cancelled and they're so insistent on these flipping intralipids!
