@Gizmo1983 I think so ❤️ I've had a little bit of spotting again, but I'm hoping it's just from wiping a bit too much after going the toilet. I've had some weird sensations today, which I'm hoping is just stretching too, I think I'm more hyper aware of things and the anxiousness. I've had my appointment through for the 12 week scan and it was for the 25th of November, which would have been a bit late, rang the scan department and they had my lmp as the 31st of August and transfer date the 12th of August, the midwife had got them the wrong way round, so it's now the 13th of November. How are finding having the scans? Xxx

Gizmo1983 · 23/10/2024 22:31

Hey @Rainbowsunshine81 the 13th November is a lot closer definitely one you can count the days down but if u feel u want one inbetween book a private one. I have a bit of a fear of scans went in happy as Larry at 15 weeks last time and our world fell apart. Plus the whole bleeding on the probe thing although with CRP she was super gentle and there was much less don’t think you ever get used to seeing blood do you? But those weekly goals to get to the next scan I think has helped a bit. I’ve definitely had pulls and aches today that have scared me a bit I didn’t want to get out of bed and move but I told myself getting out of bed won’t make a difference need to keep that circulation going. xxx

Rainbowsunshine81 · 24/10/2024 14:25

@Gizmo1983 yep definitely a lot closer, I'd like to have a private scan in between, but also I'm anxious when it comes to scans aswell. Definitely never get used to seeing blood, always throws you into a spin.
I've been trying to move round a little and did go out for a couple of hours with my mum and mum in law the other day, but don't seem to like going out so much lately. Xxx

Gizmo1983 · 24/10/2024 19:29

@Rainbowsunshine81 what you’ve said there is very much like me don’t really want to go out or do much think I just want time to pass xxx
@VenusStarr how did the intralipids go today hope all was straight forward and do u have a scan tomorrow to see how those follicles are doing. So sorry if I’ve got it wrong xxx been thinking about u xxx

Rainbowsunshine81 · 24/10/2024 19:45

Trying to keep busy, by reading and maybe ordering a few bits online as a bit of a distraction. I seem to be getting a bit obsessed by checking my boobs every five minutes to check that they are still sore and analysing aches in my back and sides. Xxx

Gizmo1983 · 24/10/2024 19:52

@Rainbowsunshine81 just remember at your stage the placenta will be really kicking in now so if your symptoms start to go a bit thats probably why it is xxx. I’ve just bought a crochet set to try and take my mind off things I think I’m fed up of the tv. Hubby keeps on taking me on a drive to get me out
xxx

VenusStarr · 24/10/2024 20:17

Hi @Gizmo1983 ❤️ thank you for thinking of me. I got back about an hour ago 😴 it went well - quite slow going today for some reason. I managed to ask Geri about my lining and she thinks there's still time and not to worry 🙏 I've been on beetroot, avocado and lots of protein. I did buy some vit E today and Brazil nuts and snacked on pineapple chunks on the way home.... walking ivf cliche! 🤣
You'll be proud of me too... got chatting to a lovely girl in the intralipids room today too. So that was nice.

Back in the morning for my scan. Really hoping I can trigger tomorrow. Feeling crampy and bloated this evening.

How are you?

@Jecca88 I hope you're doing ok? Xx

Gizmo1983 · 24/10/2024 20:26

@VenusStarr is Geri the nurse with the blonde hair in the scrubs? I like her she’s brill. Ooooh it’s all sounding positive keep being that cliche 😂😂😂. You deserve it for drinking beetroot juice lol I just couldn’t get it down lol xxx so glad u made a friend on Monday as well as the lovely Lozzmaxx there was 2 of us who just found we had SCHs so that was interesting 🧐. Xxx I’m keeping everything crossed good luck for the morning crampy and bloated is brill 😂😂😂

VenusStarr · 25/10/2024 09:33

That's the one! @Gizmo1983 I really like her 🙂

Good news, I'm triggering tonight!! 🙌 he initially said Monday, but my top one was getting on for 20mm so we looked at my history and the 2 times I ovulated early, so convinced him to go Sunday. Ive also read that over 40s seem to have better outcomes if triggering follicles around 16-18mm. I've 3 at 18mm 🙏
Best news is my lining is 9.1mm triple layer!! Woop. So happy about that 😍 he said perfect for transfer and that was our aim. Any embryos we may get from this collection are a bonus.

How are you getting on? Xxx

Gizmo1983 · 25/10/2024 09:52

@VenusStarr wooooohoooooo that’s all wonderful news and that thickness is awesome. So glad you’re triggering when you wanted as well. Roll on Sunday 😁😁😁. ❤️❤️❤️

VenusStarr · 25/10/2024 10:07

So relieved. I feel a bit rough today, think I'm really tired now. Am working from home this afternoon, going to just be on the sofa with the cats, a blanket and my laptop! @Gizmo1983

Got to share this, the nurse who did my bloods did a double take and said oh my god, your skin is amazing, it's like glass! 🤣 what have you got on? I just have tinted moisturiser but been using vit C serum in the evenings. So that's perked me up! Not bad for a 41 year old in the midst of ivf 🫠 Xxx

Rainbowsunshine81 · 25/10/2024 10:17

@Gizmo1983 I'm hoping that's what it is. That sounds like something nice to do to help pass some time. I know what you mean about getting bored of tv. I've been reading some magazines and books. Sounds nice going out for a drive, a change of scene for you too. Xxx

Gizmo1983 · 25/10/2024 10:20

@VenusStarr thats amazing it would be my dream for someone to say I had nice skin. I’m 41 as well and I still have spots 🤦‍♀️🤦‍♀️🤦‍♀️. I must admit I’m just lay in bed with the heater on I’m ok just shattered and can’t be bothered and cold. My little chihuahua is downstairs atm he would just jump round like a loon and I can’t be bothered xxx

Gizmo1983 · 25/10/2024 10:24

@VenusStarr oooh I did get a compliment this morning actually the neighbors and friends had been jogging they were chatting on our shared drive and I reversed between them and our house wall and the lady complemented me on my skillful driving 😂😂😂😂😂. I’d rather have glass skin lol 😂😂😂❤️

VenusStarr · 25/10/2024 10:55

Compliments all round @Gizmo1983 🤭🤭 ❤️ well done on your driving. How you finding the car?

I cannot be bothered at all tonight, would love to go back to bed. Going to make something to eat as I'm starving, check some emails and the walk to the pharmacy for a prescription. Them will have to actually do some work! 😅

@Rainbowsunshine81 hope you're doing ok? Have you had any more spotting?

Love to all xx

@VenusStarr @lozzmax @HopefulH @Rainbowsunshine81 can anyone help me feel a bit better. I’ve never missed any medication. Was just about to take my hydroxy and the phone rang and I got totally distracted and u just can’t remember if I took it or not. I’m about 98% I didn’t. I phoned CRP and they were reassuring and said it won’t be a problem and it would be more dangerous to take more when I wasn’t sure. Has anyone done anything sImilar I just feel sooooo guilty and bad xxx 😢😢😢

HopefulH · 25/10/2024 13:44

@Gizmo1983 I've done this soooo many times. I either take one tablet to just cover me, or don't take any! Don't worry - one dose won't be a problem xx

lozzmax · 25/10/2024 13:46

@Gizmo1983 yep been there done that several times this pregnancy, don't worry. Pretty sure I forgot my Prednisolone a couple of times as well. x

Rainbowsunshine81 · 25/10/2024 13:55

@Gizmo1983 I've done that a few times, where I haven't been sure if I've taken a tablet or not. Xxx

Gizmo1983 · 25/10/2024 13:58

@lozzmax @HopefulH oh ladies you’ve made me feel so much better thank you so so much I was just sat here feeling so guilty and in tears. Crikey this journey is not for the weak hearted is it 😢😢😢❤️

Gizmo1983 · 25/10/2024 13:59

@Rainbowsunshine81 thank you so much for replying I’m so glad it’s not just me I felt so guilty thank you so much for making me feel not so alone ❤️

Rainbowsunshine81 · 25/10/2024 15:14

@Gizmo1983 you have so much to think about, things on your mind, trying to remember everything, it is hard ❤️ xxx

VenusStarr · 25/10/2024 17:28

I'm so sorry you've had a stressful time @Gizmo1983 don't be hard on yourself! It's good you've called the clinic and they've reassured you. Be kind to yourself ❤️ I hope you're OK x

The clinic just called, they want me to do one more menopur to fight and take ibuprofen tomorrow because of my early ovulation history.

My cats are being very cuddly 🥰 think they're picking up on the hormones. Xx

Jecca88 · 25/10/2024 17:42

ahh @Gizmo1983 don't be hard on yourself - glad you got the reassurance. I actually set out my meds in boxes so i don't miss any as I just know i am the same and forget.

@VenusStarr thanks for asking how i am, this week has been really hard, finally coming out of the dark cloud :( booked in another pre-ovulation intralipds - end of next week- ouch to my bank balance again. I always stress about when to book them for - so went with day CD10 as may have done them too early last time at CD6.

Really great news about the lining and trigger shot tonight. Are you doing egg collection this round or just aiming for a fresh transfer? Love the sound of Glass Skin, i need to get me some of that cream. Also - I need to know all about these foods - my lining was a bit thin last time Mr S checked and i want to get it better. Beetroot? Pineapple?

Has anyone read it starts with an egg? is it worth a read?

VenusStarr · 25/10/2024 17:56

@Jecca88 ❤️ it's really hard abd takes it out of you. Driving down yesterday, I thought back to when I was going every 3 weeks or so for ovulation intralipids and have no idea how I did it to be honest.

The vit C serum is just from Tesco, don't think it's their own brand but £3/4 in an orange bottle with a pipette lid. Give it a try!

I think walking a minimum of 8000 steps a day has helped, Brazil nuts, vit E capsules (avocado is good too), keeping your feet warm - I sat on Wednesday working with my feet in a foot warmer - it vibrates and is heated, like fluffy slippers. I've been trying to have loads of protein too but don't know if that's more eggs than lining. Xx
