Anyone want to join? I'm going insane!! I'm not sure whether it's because it will be our last chance to have a baby in 2024 or that this is our 5th cycle so if AF comes it then marks half a year of trying, but I'm struggling this cycle. Need distraction! Lol

Hey! Sorry for the radio silence was out all day yesterday. Lots of messages !

@Plumchumm i hope you’re ok? Hopefully the treatment will be ok for you. Maybe speak with your GP

sorry to see some bfns. @Ontheflipside_ it’s good your AF hasn’t yet arrived. Fingers crossed it stays that way!

@Cherry85 i tested Friday at 9DPO and was also negative. Really upset me. Stepping away from the tests until tomorrow when I’m 12dpo x

Louki35 · 14/04/2024 11:05

Morning ladies
Sorry to hear about the BFN but there’s still time, I literally got a negative one night and faint in the morning so there’s still a chance for some!
According to my app I’m 6dpo today so I’ve tested waaaaay to early 🤭 AF due 23rd so ten days yet. I’ve been having cramping all day yesterday like AF or I needed the loo which was neither……is that normal?
My nipples are actually sore/sensitive too (tmi sorry) that’s been since yesterday. Since I’ve been tracking I don’t know what’s normal and what’s new 😂🤔 nightmare 🫧😊🤍

Ontheflipside_ · 14/04/2024 11:07

AF just arrived

Definitely a BFN! (12dpo)

Edited

Oh I missed this. Sorry lovely. When is AF due?

I have 2 boots early detection tests I can take tomorrow but actually too scared now.

Would you go 5 days before period or later?

Cherry85 · 14/04/2024 12:13

Forgot to add image 🙈

Hopethisendswell · 14/04/2024 12:23

AF due Wed/Thu, but feel like it could be any day tbh @Ontheflipside_

Could you save 1 test for day period is due and then save the other one as long as you can @Cherry85 ?

I think I'd only test 5 days before if I knew I wouldn't be tempted to use the other one before AF was due. Obviously I'm a complete hypocrite because I'm testing everyday 🙃 but I'm justifying it by saying they're internet cheapies and I know i have no self control😅

YorkshirePeridot · 14/04/2024 12:36

@Cherry85 I would use one at 11/12 dpo and then use the other when AF is due.

Cherry85 · 14/04/2024 12:41

Lol I also have one Internet cheapy left and thinking I might order some more 😅 it's like hippy cracked! So addictive

Plumchumm · 14/04/2024 23:47

Hi ladies, i’m 4dpo today. I’ve had slightly sore boobs since yesterday. They’re usually super sore and swollen but this time only really feel pain when I press them. Annoying cos that’s usually my one reliable pms symptom (my boobs are usually bursting and very painful).

but I have taken a pdg test (progesterone test to confirm ovulation). Oddly enough it counts as a positive result when there’s only one line instead of two. You’re not supposed to test till day 6/7 and you’re meant to use fmu but I tried it tonight on just normal evening pee at 4dpo and I got almost positive result. There’s a v faint line but it’s almost blank (which is good)

so I guess I do have progesterone but boobs are just acting weird.

Also I started my antibiotics today (metronidazole). It gives me that nausea side effect so i basically won’t be able to symptom spot at all 🤣 as it will most likely be due to the antibiotics.

Hopethisendswell · 15/04/2024 07:57

Hope the antibiotics work fast for you xx

BFN here this morning (13dpo). I might try later as FMU was super pale, don't know if it's because I drank lots of water before bed and it'll make a difference? But have no symptoms so 🤷‍♀️

Cherry85 · 15/04/2024 08:06

BFN here too at 10dpo :(

Hopethisendswell · 15/04/2024 08:13

Sending hugs @Cherry85 xx

ToeBeans24 · 15/04/2024 08:14

bfn Here at 12dpo. I’m out I think. Will see in 2-3 days 😔 hugs @Hopethisendswell @Cherry85

Hope the meds work quickly for you @Plumchumm xx

Hopethisendswell · 15/04/2024 08:32

Hugs for you too @ToeBeans24

Hope everyone who's having BFN or struggling today can find something that brings them a little joy in their day today xx

ToeBeans24 · 15/04/2024 09:15

Thank you @Hopethisendswell I’ve spent the morning crying A LOT. I know it’s technically only cycle 3 of trying (well cycle 2 really as cycle 1 we conceived but lost) but my arms and heart are so empty.

Im full of anxiety thinking something is wrong. I know I likely just need to be patient (and positive) as it can take a year (and often does). But I’m panicking that we get to a year and still no success 😔 I’m 33 so I really don’t want to drag it out any longer.

We did OPKs and SMEP for 2 months and nothing.

I think I’m going to ditch all tracking this month. That’s what I did month 1 that was successful. I think stress likely isn’t helping.

Sorry for being a negative Nelly.

I had such a vivid dream last night of getting a positive test. Feel very down

Hopethisendswell · 15/04/2024 10:07

Oh @ToeBeans24 I'm so sorry xxx we found the first 6 months the hardest trying for our first one.
Is there anything you can add into your TTC journey each month that's a bit of a treat and could help you relax? So you've always got something to look forward to, like a monthly massage or post AF reflexology, new book, nails done, favourite (no strings) dinner with DP kind of thing?
Hope you're able to have some time to rest and be kind to yourself today 💕

ToeBeans24 · 15/04/2024 10:24

Thanks so much @Hopethisendswell do you mind me asking how long it took for your first? At work today but from home which helps for my never ending mini cries that keep happening!

Hopethisendswell · 15/04/2024 10:35

It took over a year, might have even been about 15 months. It was just before the doctor was going to do tests. I'd just come off the implant and it really took a long time for things to settle. Everyone seemed to be having babies at that point, I thought I was going to go mad!
Took 6 months with DD though, no hormonal contraception before that.

It will happen 💕 these months are good practice 😉

ToeBeans24 · 15/04/2024 10:39

Thank you. I’ve been pregnant twice so I’m trying to see that as a positive in that we can conceive. I just want a happy ending 🤍

Sarah268 · 15/04/2024 11:43

My AF arrived this morning. At 11DPO.... not exactly good news as a short LP. But it's my first proper period since the MC so at least my cycle is back.

Weirdly I'm not as upset as I thought I would be, I think I'd already accepted it in my head that this month has been so strange after the MC that it was unlikely. I also think seeing blood is easier than a stark white test. As usual I just want to crack on with the next month and cannot fathom how I can wait another 2 weeks. Anyway, bring on some wine and lots of caffeine for a few weeks.

Sorry about the BFNs, it never gets easier seeing them! Sending hugs.

sirensong · 15/04/2024 12:28

@ToeBeans24 you mustn't worry about your age at 33, you have years to play with. I know so many women who have given birth late 30s and even into 40s. I know that all women have this nightmare sense of Tick Tock By 35 Or Doom but you will look back and realise how young you were while writing this.

You have already conceived which means no tube issues. Majority conceive within a year. Your time will very likely come. In the meantime enjoy everything else in your life.

ToeBeans24 · 15/04/2024 12:51

Thank you so much @sirensong. I needed that 🤗

Im sorry AF is here for you @Sarah268. My cycle was a bit odd after my CP so don’t worry x

Hopethisendswell · 15/04/2024 14:30

Sorry to hear that @Sarah268 xx
