Woke up feeling nauseous, and despite promising myself I wouldn't test, here we are. Some vvfl? Or wild optimism? AF due on Fri/sat so I know I shouldn't even be thinking about testing, but I've got a problem!
Reality check please!

Yey! Congrats!

123456789ss · 14/02/2024 08:32

My brain is cruel - had a very vivid dream I had a BFP so woke up sad at the realisation.

I took a test anyway (7dpo) and stared at it SO long I convinced myself there's a vvvvvvvfl there but probably my imagination or timed out 🙄

Itsasomething · 14/02/2024 08:42

Thank you. I feel so so so scared. Gonna wait for a clearer line before phoning the EPU for a scan to check everything is where it should be. (If there is really anything there at all)
After (what feels like) hundreds of bfns over the years, I can't stop staring.

Happy Galentines!

meepthebeep · 14/02/2024 10:23

Congratulations, @Itsasomething!

Claudiasaz · 14/02/2024 10:43

Aw how lovely @Itsasomething ❤️

How is everyone today? I'm still trying to cut my coffees and massively failing 😂 Two kids under 4 and a full time job, something tells me that cutting coffee is not going to help my TTC stress levels anyway 😂

Figtree11 · 14/02/2024 11:09

@Claudiasaz im doing ok today thanks.
I have been trying but failing to limit caffeine! Try & have decaf where I can, but then I think why deny myself it when who knows how long it will take to get pregnant!

I’m distracting myself with planning some home renovation so that’s lifted my spirits this week

Claudiasaz · 14/02/2024 11:29

@Figtree11 absolutely agree! And I'd rather go without than decaf! 😂

ThelastRolo20 · 14/02/2024 11:39

@Claudiasaz caffeine is a must! During the TWW I just limited it to one a day but seeing as my next TWW will be in May I'm having as much coffee as I like 😂

Claudiasaz · 14/02/2024 12:18

@ThelastRolo20 how are you feeling about it this week?

I keep debating having a break on here to really take my mind off it all as I'm stopping opks and I'm feeling just better generally and what will be attitude buttttt I genuinely want to know how everyone is doing I feel like I know you all personally now 😂

ThelastRolo20 · 14/02/2024 12:49

@Claudiasaz it's a double edged sword to be completely honest. Seeing everyone trying makes me want to try so that's hard, but you as a group understand the emotions and ups and downs more than my support IRL so I stay on. I'm also rooting for you all!

Having a break is helping me not have TTC as my main focus though, as I'm booking stuff in and I'm not worrying about TWW. I'm hoping when that time comes again I'll be excited and positive, as opposed to utterly petrified 😂

Ella31 · 14/02/2024 13:34

@Claudiasaz I've a nespresso machine and I switched to decaff. Have done that for about a year now. Happy enough with it.

I thought my period was gone but had bleeding today. Day 6 of period. Very off point for me. 4 day periods brfore my c section. It's so annoying as every change is worrying me. This period two since I gave birth.

ThelastRolo20 · 14/02/2024 13:38

@Ella31 after my first miscarriage my period was slightly heavier and lasted 1/2 days longer (so was 7/8 days as opposed to 6), then after 3 days I had spotting for another 3 days or so.

I still managed to conceive that cycle (obviously didn't work out but I'm sure it's nothing to do with the dodgy cycle!).

It's so frustrating but it may be a bit different to your normal for a few months ❤️

Thanks @ThelastRolo20 I wish we weren't so preoccupied with the tiny details post loss - met with friends last night who are all in the ttc for the first time stage and god their hearts are light and excited whereas I just feel the burden and stress of it.

I'm really glad it's realigned your focus a bit and hopefully when you do go ttc again, you'll feel refreshed

@Ella31 people never think it'll happen to them, I certainly didn't and certainly not twice in a row.

Ttc and pregnancy after loss is so very different, they'll never understand, and hopefully they never will but it's hard when your emotional journey is different to that your friends are on ❤️

Ella31 · 14/02/2024 14:14

It's so hard @ThelastRolo20 I'm trying so much not to think negatively.

ThelastRolo20 · 14/02/2024 14:29

@Ella31 everything you are going through, physically and emotionally is so normal. It doesn't make it easier, but I'd be more concerned if you were being overly positive ❤️ It's shit, utterly shit. It's okay to acknowledge that as much as you need to.

Overtime though it will become more of a positive journey, you're still so early after your losses even if people tell you otherwise!

ThelastRolo20 · 14/02/2024 16:01

@Ella31 I'm doing okay thanks, apart from a chest infection 😂 always something going on.

I've got plans most weekends for the next 6 or so weeks to keep me occupied, and just focusing on my daughter. I'm actually looking forward to AF arriving so I can figure out what my cycles are doing in preparation for April/ May ❤️

That's a wonderful outlook and so true. By April/May you'll have a great idea of where you'll be at cycle wise.

Sorry about your chest infection, my dh has one too.

Is this ok for me to join the thread. ttc. Six losses I’ve no other children. No support from gp can’t afford private. :(
