Thank you everyone. I'm so so sad and disappointed, I really had been hopeful this time.

My mood is angry and black today- I've been vile and shouty and the kids already, and my bloody SIL are coming over later as they're down in Cornwall for half term. I need that like a hole in the head as I really don't like the woman. The kids will be all excited and over -loud with the cousins and I just want to hide in bed and cry!

Can I ask a BBT question? What sort of BBT would be normal during your period? I tested yesterday afternoon (CD3) and got 35.67, and this morning I got 36.51. I know you’re supposed to test first thing, so I think the temp from yesterday afternoon should/could possibly be disregarded, but do they seem a bit on the low side? I’m a bit concerned about the link between low BBT and hypothyroidism, and that and miscarriage, although I suppose at least it would be an explanation.

I sent off the Hertility kit yesterday which also measures TSH so that would be an answer to the thyroid thing too. TIA x

Itsasomething · 13/02/2024 08:29

I just feel so desperate. I've convinced myself this is my month after wanting this for the past couple years. So much POAS.
My previous pregnancies (have 5yo) have all been 5/6 days late before a positive test so I know it is a wasted effort testing early.
Does anyone else feel this combination of hope & sadness?

Figtree11 · 13/02/2024 08:45

@Itsasomething i feel like that on an almost daily basis. TTC after loss is just awful, every little symptom I convince myself it could be good news, then get dragged down to earth. I’m sorry that you are having a tough time

@RaisingCornishWildlings its totally understandable to be feeling like that. I hope you start feeling a bit more positive in a few days, but let yourself feel the anger & sadness today

meepthebeep · 13/02/2024 08:52

@RaisingCornishWildlings @Itsasomething I’m really sorry, TTC can be stressful at the best of times, and after a loss, the highs and lows seem even more pronounced. Hope you can take it as easy as possible today. @Figtree11 I really like your point about letting yourself feel the anger and sadness, just kind of acknowledging it in our bodies. This is a hard journey x

Figtree11 · 13/02/2024 09:05

@meepthebeep definitely, it’s the most difficult journey I’ve been on xx

miamiamia869 · 13/02/2024 10:34

@meepthebeep i cant give no advice on BBT i tried it for a few days but not for me (yet). That's interesting though, keep us update when you get results of your tests.

I'm forever worrying myself about hormone imbalance and think should i look into it because id hate to loose another baby to something like that if i could do something to avoid.

@Itsasomething totally the same as you. Its unbearable at times, had a bit of a break down with it over the weekend. I've never had no healthy pregnancies and terrified I will never be a mum. during the 2WW i am so negative one day and so positive the next and it always boils down to a negative and its just soul destroying.

I really want to try and stop being like this. I was never ever ever like this before loss.

pray for some positive tests in here soon to help us all feel a little more positive

Ella31 · 13/02/2024 12:19

Ladies I'm really confused. I just finished on my period yesterday. Started ovulation tests today and they are high enough. Not peak but look around the stage where you know you are probably 3/4 days off peak. I'll attach a pic.

I've had my gp appointment today. All is well and hormones are as they should be so that is a relief. He said I need to chill out basically. Easier said than done 😅😅

That's brilliant. Your body is ready, now you just need to get your mind ready. So hard though.

ThelastRolo20 · 13/02/2024 12:52

@Ella31 i found easy at home always had quite a strong line and the peak therefore ridiculously strong. What cycle day are you now and when would you normally ovulate?

Also, ladies, I have the answer to all our problems. My wonderful MIL told me to just relax and it'll all work out!! Can't believe I didn't think of that 🤦‍♀️

@miamiamia869 I could write your post word for word on how I feel about the tww as well. Just want to say I'm here for a hand hold and support.

Cycle Day 5 🤣 so obviously wondering what the hell. Should I trust easy@ home opk's? What ones do you use. I only start using clearblue towards the end.

Haha, she should bottle that and try to sell it. A game changer 🤣

The wicked old crone has made her appearance

Sorry to hear she arrived. I literally only said to my dh yesterday why can you do everything the same one month and its positive and do the same another and it doesn't. Part of me thinks its pure luck at times. Hope you are feeling ok.

ThelastRolo20 · 13/02/2024 13:23

@Ella31 keep using them, they'll probably stay like that for a long time before your peak 😊

miamiamia869 · 13/02/2024 13:35

@ThelastRolo20 oh mother in laws, such great advice, if only we could lol. My mother in law actually suffered 6 miscarriages before she had my husband so she would probably be great to talk too. She doesn't know about ours though as although she has gone through it and she can be lovely, sometimes everything is all about her and I don't think I can bite my tongue on this one. I also know the whole world would know once she knew.

@Ella31 aww thank you, you are so sweet, been through so much yourself and still offering support to others. The same goes to you... xx .... In regards to easy@home lh tests i think they are brilliant and the app. I always use it and 2nd month using them is when i fell pregnant after 2 years trying. I naively thought it would happen like that again after MC but no luck so far, I do think they are reliable tests though.

I have no idea why so early for you though, maybe it will just climb slow this month, but either way keep testing and catch it if it does peak.

emmatcc1 · 13/02/2024 13:51

@meepthebeep The fact you got a lower reading in the afternoon than in the morning shows it’s probably inaccurate. I found that temping orally gave me a lot of inaccurate measurements so I switched to vaginally which gives me comfort my bbt is 100% accurate.

meepthebeep · 13/02/2024 14:06

Thank you @emmatcc1 - probably a very silly question, but can I just pop the BBT thermometer in and take the reading the same way…? Obviously I’d not then return to taking it orally 😄

emmatcc1 · 13/02/2024 14:18

@meepthebeep Yep, it works the same way. For me even if I measured 30 min after waking up it still gave me my usual reading. Stick it in about 2-3cm and rinse it after each use. You may notice your bbt will be a bit higher.

meepthebeep · 13/02/2024 15:25

Thank you, I’ll give it a go 🙏🏼

Can I be so cheeky about the temping vaginally. Like I have the easy@ home themeoter. Can I put that up there? 🤣

meepthebeep · 13/02/2024 16:06

@Ella31 this is the thermometer I’ve got
https://www.amazon.co.uk/BabyMad-Basal-Temperature-Ovulation-Thermometer/dp/B001CL2GIA

I didn’t check properly before I bought it and it does indeed say ‘BabyMad’ on the thermometer itself 🙄 but I suppose that’s not inaccurate atm 🤷🏻‍♀️

The Easy@Home one looks pretty similar, so I reckon go for it (gently obv)?

emmatcc1 · 13/02/2024 17:40

@Ella31 I actually use a regular thermometer. You put in just the part where it’s narrow.

Ncl31 · 13/02/2024 22:12

@RaisingCornishWildlings sorry to hear AF has arrived.
she arrived for me yesterday but seems to have disappeared this afternoon after being pretty light most of the day.
no idea what’s going on, must be mc playing havoc

Itsasomething · 14/02/2024 07:46

Woke up feeling nauseous, and despite promising myself I wouldn't test, here we are. Some vvfl? Or wild optimism? AF due on Fri/sat so I know I shouldn't even be thinking about testing, but I've got a problem!
Reality check please!
