@CadoAvo so very sorry to hear of your loss.
I had a chemical at 5 weeks. Counted first day of bleed as CD1 and used OPKS from CD10. Started trying again straight away.

Positive OPK on CD16 which was 2 days later than my cycles pre pregnancy. Luteal phase remained the same length but naturally my period was 2 days later (so a 30 day cycle rather than 28) due to ovulating 2 days later

My ovulation symptoms were EXTREME the cycle after my CP. Possibly due to a hormone shift?

Was very hopeful that month but sadly didn’t catch. I’d read loads on MN and other sites about people conceiving straight away after a loss that id got so hopeful. So just wanted to comment to say if it doesn’t happen, please don’t worry. It will do even if not the cycle straight after!

My first proper period after the CP (so the following cycle) was no different to normal. It was just the ovulation symptoms that cycle that was noticeably different.

Good luck ☺️

ToeBeans24 · 10/04/2024 14:31

Oh just to add I did POAS a week after my chemical bleed ended just to make sure it was negative x

emmatcc1 · 10/04/2024 14:35

@CadoAvo I also had the strong ovulation symptoms like @ToeBeans24 . First ovulation I had abnormal amount of EWCM and ovulation pains which I never had before. And this month I only had very strong ovulation pains.

ToeBeans24 · 10/04/2024 14:37

Snap @emmatcc1 !!! This month I hardly had any EWCM but usually have a few days worth. Month after my loss I had BUCKETs full. Again got me v hopeful!

Anyone experienced EWCM and very watery discharge after ov? I’m 7dpo and been experiencing a mixture of watery and stretchy clear CM. Usually v dry after ov

Hi Ladies, hope your week is going well. I had my first negative test today, will try again on Friday to make sure as it's then 3 weeks post d and c. Going to get back on the horse so to speak. I was talking to my boss today about it and he didn't seem too thrilled. He was just talking about work and said as sad as what you're going through, I'm glad.i don't have to find a replacement. I said.dont be too sure because you never know what the future holds and he rolled his eyes at me. (In a harmless way I think) think ill start trying ovulation strips from tomorrow and probably prenatal tabs from tomorrow. Does anyone have any pearls of wisdom? Much love to you all.

jellyfish2 · 10/04/2024 20:06

@CadoAvo sorry for your loss. I ovulated around 4 weeks post surgery for my MMC. We tried straight away and I don't know if I had a CP or not as I had a positive test on frer when I was light bleeding but it could just have been faulty. Anyway my period was so light (6 and a half weeks after surgery) which makes me think my body wasn't ready. I'm now waiting for my next period before trying to conceive and I feel better about it as I was obsessing straight after the MC. I think hormones play a major part too but as time is going on I'm slightly more chilled. Im tracking ovulation this month just to check things are returning to normal and so far it seems to be!

ThelastRolo20 · 10/04/2024 20:46

@DonnaWhat you took your boss' comments a lot better than I would have! Glad you're feeling ready to get cracking again and your tests are looking negative❤️

@jellyfish2 ah sounds like your body is getting back to normal! Good idea to track to see what's going on ❤️ if your cycle is a normal length for you, when will your TTC cycle start? X

DonnaWhat · 10/04/2024 20:57

@ThelastRolo20 We do have a good work relationship, I genuinely think he doesn't think before he speaks half the time. Typical bloke 🙄 He has no filter. How have you been? How are you getting on? X

jellyfish2 · 10/04/2024 21:13

@ThelastRolo20 next month I should ovulate about 16th may. What date did you say you should ovulate? I'm intrigued to see what my period is like this month. Although I'll get it when I'm away a caravan holiday which isn't ideal!!

ThelastRolo20 · 10/04/2024 21:23

@DonnaWhat I've been okay thanks! AF is due early.- mid next week so we'll finally be back to TTC 🙌🏻 off to Lanzarote next Friday for a week so have that look forward to in the meantime. I'm glad you have a good relationship with your boss 😂

ThelastRolo20 · 10/04/2024 21:26

@jellyfish2 tell me about it, my period is going to overlap slightly with my Lanzarote holiday. Hoping it appears closer to Monday than Friday (when we're flying out 🤞🏻)

I'll be ovulating around 1st/2nd May as things stand, I think my AF would be due when you're ovulating, we're at opposite ends 😂 are you glad to have taken the break?

jellyfish2 · 10/04/2024 21:54

@ThelastRolo20 maybe you'll have a positive test just when I'm ovulating! 😁
I am glad yeah, I do think my hormones just made me want to be pregnant instantly. I still do but not to the same extreme, I guess it's part of the whole process isn't it. The last two pregnancies (which includes the loss) we got pregnant first time when tracking so I'd really love it if it happened again but I'm just worried now that everything is a bit messed up but they'll be two cycles so fingers crossed.
Are you all set for holiday?

Ella31 · 10/04/2024 23:16

I bit the bullet and went to my gp today because my anxiety over losing the boys and going into cycle 5 was too much today. She's actually referred me to get my fertility tested so that I can breathe easy. she maintained she has no doubt it will come back clear but she can tell that I can't stop worrying and that this might take the pressure off. I'm also referred to for counselling over my boys.

ThelastRolo20 · 11/04/2024 07:29

@Ella31 I'm so glad your GP listened to you, sounds like some reassurance would be good for your anxiety, and counselling will hopefully be really beneficial ❤️❤️

I really think so. She did emphasise that she feels the tests will be fine but I'd like to know if everything is ok after what happened to my boys in November

ThelastRolo20 · 11/04/2024 19:58

@jellyfish2 no where near ready for holiday given the broken washing machine! Also, off to Taunton tomorrow to see family so a weekend away to pack for first 🤦‍♀️

Everything feels so manic but thankfully it's making the days go relatively quickly. Just hoping AF arrives early next week to minimise holiday overlap 🤞🏻🤞🏻 How are you getting on?

@Ella31 when will you hear about your referral?

It can take three months here in Ireland. In my head I hope I'm pregnant brfore then.

jellyfish2 · 11/04/2024 20:25

@ThelastRolo20 you sound busy busy! How long are your cycles? Mine can be between 30-33 days which feels long! The fact I haven't ovulated yet means I'll probably get AF right on time for going away the weekend in two weeks time! Argh.

ThelastRolo20 · 11/04/2024 20:42

@jellyfish2 why does it always end up that way! AF always arrives at the worst times 😂

Normal cycles are 28-29 days. Occasionally I'll get a curve ball like last month which was 26 days (but of course things are still settling). In an ideal world AF will arrive Monday (28 day cycle - which is generous as it came in the evening so only just counted as Monday!)

jellyfish2 · 11/04/2024 21:04

You'll be looking forward to TTC again!
It's so hard not to just go for it when I know I'm in my fertile window but my DP says he's putting his foot down now and not dtd during fertile period this month 😂 he saw how stressed I was last month not knowing what was going on with my period and if it was a cp pregnancy or not so sticking with what we agreed. Which I'd rather do but it's like my body is saying no do it haha.

ThelastRolo20 · 11/04/2024 21:45

@jellyfish2 I completely understand - I was an absolute nightmare in Feb's fertile week 😂 it's only a few weeks though. Can you get some fun stuff booked in to take your mind off of it? That's what I had to do!

jellyfish2 · 11/04/2024 22:12

@ThelastRolo20 I have a night out with friends and a few other things in the diary so I'm sure it'll go in quickly. 😊

Mine are 31 now @jellyfish2 I'm hoping they have settled after the loss. I was 31 before as well. So I'm hoping things are settling.

Ella31 · 12/04/2024 22:31

@ThelastRolo20 are you gone on hols yet

ThelastRolo20 · 13/04/2024 07:08

@Ella31 not yet, leave next Friday but currently on a mini weekend away in Taunton seeing family.😊

How are you feeling a few days after your gp appointment? Goos your cycles are going more back to normal! How is everyone doing?
