@Figtree11 thanks for getting back to me. So nice to have this support group.

i was very early. It was a chemical. I was only 4w6d. Bleed was just like a normal period. Heavy but short x

Figtree11 · 01/03/2024 14:56

@ToeBeans24 I have my fingers firmly crossed for you that you ovulate soon. Hopefully even if it is a bit delayed, it won’t be too long. Every day feels like the longest wait though doesn’t it!

ToeBeans24 · 01/03/2024 15:04

@Figtree11 doesn't it just! Just want to get trying again as I'm so anxious after the CP 😞

Claudiasaz · 01/03/2024 15:35

@Figtree11 hope you're okay after the negative test.

I feel the same. All I hear is how people got pregnant straight after. And even within this group and I'm still here now going into month 6. 😭

I never saw this in my journey to be honest and I have a huge new found respect for people who go through worse!

Take it gentle today

Xx

@mlruirod we started trying for baby no 2 in June 2022 and have had 4 miscarriages since, the latest being a chemical in December. I’ve had nhs tests that all came back normal last July so I got the green light to start trying again and the same month my periods went wonky! I’ve always got a positive on the 1st/2nd cycle and it took 5 months before the chemical in December so I’m assuming I have something going on hormone wise that’s now stopping me getting pregnant!

My doctors been in touch today to say they’re referring me to Tommys so that’s positive. I’ve also (super random) just done a microbiome test privately because I’ve heard lots about how that can impact fertility and hormones on podcasts etc so thought worth a shot! Considering the hertility tests too.

Basically coming up to 2 years trying and throwing the kitchen sink at it!

@ToeBeans24 hope everything gets back to normal for you asap. It’s all so random isn’t it.. I had a 13 week MC and ovulated within 5 weeks, I had one at 7 weeks and it took 2 months. They’ve all been different x

emmatcc1 · 01/03/2024 15:57

@ToeBeans24 I miscarried at what should be 10w but stopped growing at 6w. I had retained tissue and the hospital discharged me and said the bit left will come out with next af but I kept on lightly bleeding until a week after one last clot passed and I immediately stopped bleeding. I ovulated a week after the last clot which is 3 weeks after start of bleeding. In total my ovulation was delayed by about 10 days.

Claudiasaz · 01/03/2024 16:27

@Westy22 I read into Maca and some people said it messed their cycles up so given my current track record I'm reluctant 😂

Onthedouble123 · 01/03/2024 17:34

@Blueskies4 where do you go for a microbiome test? I might look into that next month if we have no luck at the end of this TWW.
I'm not sure who said it further up thread but I know exactly what you mean about other positive pregnancies and obviously being pleased for people but then worrying that, by probability/statistics, it ups your chance of being the 1 in 5 or whatever it is that won't be. Totally not rational but I can't shake that feeling. Anxiety does weird things 😩

Claudiasaz · 01/03/2024 18:00

@Onthedouble123 oh yeah that's me. I am the worst for having anxiety over anything though so don't listen to me 😂

It just takes longer for some and there's not always a reason why annoyingly!

Sending hugs x

Blueskies4 · 01/03/2024 20:43

@Onthedouble123 I’ve used screenme - I messaged the woman off one of the podcasts I listened to and she recommended them - they’re a tad on the pricey side but we may end up going down the ivf route so I thought it’s small fry really!

Ah there’s so many intrusive/unwelcome thoughts isn’t there..

Has anyone tried the Tommys pregnancy calculator? It predicts your chance of a healthy pregnancy based on your background… I did it after my 4th miscarriage and I still came out at 75%.. it said that in a room of 10 pregnant women with the same background as me 7 of us would have a healthy baby at the end and I thought that’s a much more positive spin on it because the odds are still in our favour!

ThelastRolo20 · 01/03/2024 21:02

@Blueskies4 thank you for linking that tool, I just did it and came out at 80%, so like you the odds are definitely on my side.

I'm starting to get to the point of being excited again about TTC, as opposed to being scared of it which I'm taking as a positive step

Claudiasaz · 01/03/2024 21:55

@Blueskies4 that is funny because I actually did this today, I have no idea why I was just looking up if anyone had similar stories to myself and landed there.

I got 87% but I can't actually get pregnant sooooo 🫠😂

PMS is PMS ing today too. Feeling so fed up and wanting to quit ttc. Standard every single cycle at this point 😂

Onthedouble123 · 01/03/2024 21:58

Great link, thank you! I got 78% which is pretty close to the 80 isn't it.
8dpo and keeping everything crossed this is our month!
In the process of checking out screenme though as at least I'll feel like I'm doing something productive if we move on to another cycle. Xx

emmatcc1 · 02/03/2024 00:06

I got 80% as well.
I’m 6dpo or more like 7dpo since it’s already past midnight and I keep on looking for the signs I had with previous pregnancy. I fully expect to have the same symptoms I did before and one definitely showed which is bleeding gums after brushing my teeth.

Blueskies4 · 02/03/2024 08:33

I’m 9DPO at the moment and 0 symptoms! But then all cycles are different.. in December when I had a chemical I had really sore big boobs for about a week before my “period” came but tested negative like 14DPO and then finally tested positive mid bleed - so weird because not high enough hcg to show up on a test but enough to change my boobs! Last Jan when I tested positive with the baby I lost at 13 weeks I got a clear positive 11DPO but only tested because we were off on holiday and I didn’t want to have a drink not realising I was pregnant - no obvious symptoms! So weird how they can be so different isn’t it!?

On the plus side I haven’t started spotting yet this month which is a win!

Figtree11 · 02/03/2024 08:42

Claudiasaz · 01/03/2024 15:35

Thank you @Claudiasaz I was feeling down yesterday & still do today but I’ll come out the other side.
I’m just stressing as this is now cycle day 44, and nothing is happening.

It’s so hard isn’t it - how are you doing today?

jellyfish2 · 02/03/2024 08:54

@Figtree11 how are you? I was feeling really down yesterday too and had some moments where I just kept crying so you're not alone.

Figtree11 · 02/03/2024 09:25

Thanks for checking in @jellyfish2 I was doing pretty good all week as I way away & distracted. But yesterday & this morning I’m feeling a bit down. I know I’ll come out the other side again - it comes in waves.

I’m sorry that you have been feeling down too. It’s so rubbish isn’t it - I saw a video on instagram of a dad & son that wasn’t even sad but found myself crying! Are you feeling any better today?

jellyfish2 · 02/03/2024 10:07

Yeah I completely know how you feel, it's such a strange feeling.
I'm feeling a bit better today thanks. Yesterday was my birthday and I think I was just thinking I should be pregnant etc. Also it just felt like the pregnancy was well timed as it was the age gap I was hoping for between the baby and my little boy and now it's going to be bigger. I think I just thought about everything yesterday and being another year older which might make things harder.
It doesn't help I've not had a period, don't know when I'll ovulate or if I have. It's just all getting to me as I want to be pregnant again. Sorry for the rant! Are you trying again? When was your MC? Sorry I must have read it but I struggle to keep up sometimes.

Onthedouble123 · 02/03/2024 10:34

@Blueskies4 I'm also 9dpo but symptomless! But thinking of the people who don't realise they're pregnant til they're 3 or 4 months etc. it's so confusing and plays with your mind! Xx

Panda101x · 02/03/2024 11:33

Anyone have any idea why I’m so up down. Never had this before same time everyday down correctly etc.

Hi, can I ask how you know if you have a chemical miscarriage?

mlruirod · 02/03/2024 12:28

Blueskies4 · 01/03/2024 15:41

I'm so sorry all you've been through. I can't imagine how hard it must have been. I've also been 2 years trying since my MC abd feel so helpless sometimes. But hopefully this will be our year. I'll have my fingers crossed for you too 🤞

Panda101x · 02/03/2024 12:31

I’m going through chemical now which is why I suspect my temps above are like they are as they aren’t normally. :(

emmatcc1 · 02/03/2024 12:45

@mlruirod You still get a positive with a chemical but it’s faint and starts fading away soon. Bleeding is then the same as a period.
