@xxcxdonxx they look like really good tests to me... fingers crossed they continue getting darker 😊

Hankthehonk · 21/01/2024 22:35

@xxcxdonxx I agree with everyone else I think those tests are looking good! Totally here for the poas collage

Supertrooper101 · 22/01/2024 08:05

@xxcxdonxx yay 😁 dont give up, those look good x

Sez281 · 22/01/2024 09:30

@xxcxdonxx they look like really good lines, I'd be happy with them for your dpo πŸ‘Œ I totally understand the worry though. I don't know if it will ever go away but for now you should definitely be hopeful πŸ™ xx

@Jadeypie wow fair play for you holding off, I definitely couldn't! Either way it shows that something might be working to get you more regular so I'd take that as a great sign xx

@Paws4thought you must be heading towards the end of the tww?

Limbo land for me at 5dpo. Started the pessaries on 3DPO so I'll give them a week and then stop just after negative test. I want to stop then just in case it delays AF by too long as the sooner it arrives the sooner I can start the meds

Paws4thought · 22/01/2024 11:46

@Sez281 I'm 9dpo today, no symptoms and had a bit of a wobble yesterday thinking it won't happen even tho it potentially hasn't even implanted yet, meeting with my friend today and anxious about how ill feel seeing her bump.
Thats good you've got a plan, hopefully you won't need it though 🀞 how long have you been trying?

Supertrooper101 · 22/01/2024 12:42

@Sez281 you might get a positive yet you never know lol
Went for the scan today. Should be about 5+5 bitsn bobs are there but no fetal pole could be seen but a nice haemorrage could adjacent to it so thats probably the fetal pole gone bye byes! Scan lady was trying to be polite but you know dont you πŸ€·β€β™€οΈ Back in 10days and got the cyclogest (wheres the frigging applicators 🀣) but am not gona kid myself on this.

xxcxdonxx · 22/01/2024 13:19

These early scans can be a blessing and a curse I think@Supertrooper101 Everything is so tiny at that stage that they almost always result in going back for another which gives you a period of worry.

I don’t want to say everything will be fine and you’ll know best on how you feel but it could still be a bit early for the fetal pole to be picked up? Hope you are ok xx

Yeah no such luck on an applicator for the cyclogest, just shove it up unfortunately 😬

DmcinT · 22/01/2024 13:35

thanks everyone, I’m deff on edge each day overthinking each twinge πŸ˜… @Jadeypie but bags are all packed and by the door just incase. I’m not 100% sure on the plan on Friday, last week she was breechπŸ™ˆ so that will determine a lot. I’ve to get the stitch out so if she’s head down that should go ahead but if she’s still breech it’ll be a c-section. As long as she’s here safe and sound I don’t mind❀️ I’m in Wednesday too so they can have a look.
@Sez281 it’s my first so not a clue what’s ahead of me πŸ˜… but feel as ready as I can be now. @Hankthehonk not long now either, looking forward to seeing ur update πŸ₯° I haven’t seen strawb on other chats in a while now that u mention it @SnookyPook i hope all is good with u? Arre u in for another scan soon?

@xxcxdonxx those lines look great, I’m keeping everything crossed for u x

on the cyclogest yiiip no applicatorπŸ™ˆ, just need to push it up there as high as u can and lie down for 30 mins or so, even better when going to bed, I found less comes back out x everything crossed for u now, it’s still early so lots of time for it to develop further πŸ€žπŸ½πŸ™πŸ½

Paws4thought · 22/01/2024 14:00

@Supertrooper101 so sorry it wasn't a positive scan, there's still some hope tho as it's early. Did they say what would cause the haemorrhage?

Jadeypie · 22/01/2024 14:26

@Supertrooper101 sorry to hear you didn't get the news you needed. But as the others have said it's early days. I've seen lots of people go for these early scans get told the same then a week later it's their. But I'm just hoping your keeping strong xx

Hankthehonk · 22/01/2024 14:55

@Supertrooper101 sorry to see your update and that you're in limbo for a while but definitely not out yet, it's so early for a scan so all could be well at the next one. I bet that 10 days will feel so long for you though :(

@Paws4thought hope it's OK seeing your friend, and that you can be honest with her if you are struggling.

@DmcinT I'm overthinking pain and twinges already and I'm weeks behind you! Hope your girl turns- my boy is/was also breech at last scan and I'm constantly trying to figure out whether he's moved. You'd think it would be easier to tell! Got our scan on Monday and if he's still breech probably booking for a section too (I personally wouldn't want to attempt vaginal breech birth, I'd rather have a planned section). Good luck at Wednesdays scan let us know what happens

@Jadeypie I couldn't possibly hold back from testing if I were you but I fully admit to being a testing addict!

SnookyPook · 22/01/2024 15:52

@Supertrooper101 sorry the scan wasn't more reassuring lovely. I absolutely concur with everyone else... Early days.. buuuut we all know too well what that limbo is like. Sorry you're not feeling hopeful about things. I hope at least the time until the next scan passes as quickly as possible for you so you get some definitive answers soon.

@Paws4thought hope it was ok seeing your friend. Always a tough moment. πŸ’•

@Sez281 hope you're finding the pessaries ok. I've got to be a dab hand at shoving them up now πŸ˜‚πŸ˜¬πŸ˜‚

@DmcinT oh so exciting! Hope all goes well over the next few days and you get clarity on type of birth to expect etc. cheeky madam keeping you guessing! Hehe. I'm feeling ok thanks. Next scan will be the 12wk one now (!!!) on 2nd Feb. Can't quite believe it.

@Hankthehonk I never knew which way round my DS was when I was expecting! No idea how you can tell a bum from a head etc. I thought it would be obvious/instinctive but I never got my head around it! Haha. Hope these last weeks go well and that your little man turns quite soon for you so you're out of limbo!

Sez281 · 22/01/2024 16:16

@Supertrooper101 Aww I'm sorry to hear that it wasn't clearπŸ˜”. I know what you mean about her trying to be polite but as everyone else has said it's still so early! I don't think they'd have given you the pessaries if there was no chance so fingers crossed it's just too early πŸ™ xx

@Paws4thought I hope meeting your friend went ok. I know these things are so tough 😞 We weren't preventing when I conceived last January, had the MMC on the 1st of March, cycle returned to normal in May and had CP in July. Like you I think we were really lucky to catch 1st time so that's the only thing that's still giving me some hope, although at 41 age isn't on my side so I understand that IVF might be the only route over the next few months. Will you test over the next few days or wait until AF is due? X

Aww @DmcinT that's so exciting! Can't wait to hear your update πŸ’“ xx

And @Hankthehonk hope the scan goes well next Monday πŸ’™ xx

@SnookyPook I learned from last time that going to bed is the best time to take it (I'm only taking one a day so it's not too messy πŸ˜‚) You'll have your big scan soon? X

@xxcxdonxx hope you're doing ok and not poas too much (although it think I'd probably need shares in the company if/when it happens for me πŸ™ˆ xx

Supertrooper101 · 22/01/2024 16:55

Tbh i dont see the point in waiting 10 bloody days for a scan lol the scan person may as well just said nar it looks shit, didnt even tell me what it measured but suggested i get my bloods re done, so that ses it all lol the nurse was nice tho and just said will see what the nxt scan shows πŸ€·β€β™€οΈ then gave me a prescription for 60 cyclogest lol Theyl not be having them back nxt week 🀣.... am alright though, yes it would be nice if it was a better outcome, but beats getting to 12wks and being told bad news! Not sure what causes the haemorrige, google isnt very helpful today lol

Paws4thought · 22/01/2024 16:57

Thanks for the support all, it wasn't too bad, just me over thinking it.
@Sez281 oh gosh so a year since you first conceived.... that must have gone quickly and slowly at the same time. Do you have other children or will this be your first? I'm planning to wait and haven't bought any tests so I'm not tempted, I tested early last 2 months and it made me more stressed tbh buuut if I get any possible symptoms I'll be straight to the shop πŸ˜‚

Sez281 · 22/01/2024 18:43

@Supertrooper101 I totally understand you lowering your expectations. I think it's self preservation and probably the right thing to do but you just never know. She was right to suggest getting more bloods, your last hcg was pretty high from what I remember? Also from a medical point of view if they're getting crazy high it could be a sign of a possible ectopic, I'm sure that's not the case but i definitely think you should get repeat bloods just in case. I hope you're ok xx

OP posts:
Sez281 · 22/01/2024 18:46

@Paws4thought This will be our first. I only met my OH when we were both 38 so unfortunately it's a bit of a race against time at this stage 😣What about you? I know what you mean about seeing negative tests. Weirdly I test early as I prefer to know that it's coming but everyone has their own way of facing it. Fingers crossed for you this cycle xx

OP posts:
SnookyPook · 22/01/2024 18:47

@Supertrooper101 yeah I get that. You get to the point where you don't want the exhaustion of the hope don't you. Like if it's bad news, just give it to me straight! Agree with Sez re repeat bloods. And at least you're in the system and being monitored. Definitely hold onto that progesterone now that you've got it!

Supertrooper101 · 22/01/2024 19:36

Really cant be bothered explaining to drs why i want more bloods...but may change my mind in the morning lol we have bought a clear blue dates test thingy though, if thats like 1-2 wks then that will give me an answer anyway, but also, google says ur hcg continues to rise anyway while your body thinks its still pregnant even if it isnt, and alot of us know how true that is dont we lol jist had a convo about it, and tbh, its the first postive we have had in 9mths, so thats a forward step even if it dosent work out to plan.@Paws4thought this was the 1st cycle i tested early, only cos i liked sez's idea that id rather know whats what lol

Paws4thought · 22/01/2024 21:09

@Supertrooper101 totally understand where you're coming from, I know they have to be polite / positive but wish they would speak realistically if they don't think it's viable rather than us trying to read between the lines, that being said I didn't think they'd scan til after 6 weeks so I guess it could just be too soon to say anything more. First positive test and progesterone are progress at least.
My trouble was that i still didn't want to believe the negative so spent 3 days upset until AF arrived and was double upset haha.
@Sez281 this will be our first, frustrating to catch so easily first time and then not the same again, I worry the pregnancy messed up my hormones. Thank you, hopefully be able to update either way on Saturday :)
@SnookyPook when is your next scan?

Westy22 · 22/01/2024 21:35

Just catching up, feel like I miss loads πŸ™ˆ

I'm sorry it's not gone to plan @Supertrooper101 and I know what you mean about the nurses trying to be polite about it, used to really wind me up πŸ™ˆ but I know they mean well. Still a bit of hope like the others said as it's still super early but I totally get now that your preparing for the opposite. With my MC my hormones still went up but they didn't double..it was more 45/50%. yours jumped a fair bit? so I would still get bloods.

@xxcxdonxx those tests actually look promising, don't give up ❀️

@SnookyPook not long now for the 12 week scan, massive milestone ❀️

Good luck @Sez281 @Jadeypie @Paws4thought 🀞🌈

@DmcinT @Hankthehonk I'm looking forward to hearing the news β€οΈπŸ’™ it's lovely there's going to be some babies born soon xx

I reckon I've ovulated earlier this month, done some opk sticks last 2/3 days and none have been that strong so hoping I caught it whilst I was away lol my apps are saying yesterday due to long cycle last month but I don't think it's accurate. I'm not telling the OH this though and we are continuing with the fertile window this week 🀣🀣

Totally working myself up as I approach the year mark for my previous MC as I conceived in the march, I've not had a positive since 😩 decided I'm going to arm myself with lots of requests when I see my gp after the bloods this week , that way when I finally get my referral app in June I can go knowing what I've already tried and hopefully get ahead 🀞

xxcxdonxx · 22/01/2024 21:41

These early weeks are just torture, so much uncertainty and nothing seems to be clear cut. Like you say @Supertrooper101 about the pregnancy test, I always thought I’d know if it was bad news but even that’s deceiving.
Hopefully you can get your blood work quickly and give you a better indication of where you stand.

@Sez281 no more collages for you today 🀣 just sticking to one in the morning and time will tell what the outcome is.

Sez281 · 22/01/2024 21:49

@Supertrooper101 That's such a great way to look at it, the fact that you've had a positive is amazing. It means that things are still working. Plus you've got 60 pessaries there now πŸ˜‚ I'm still crossing everything for you though! πŸ™ xx

@xxcxdonxx I do love an aul collage! I agree that once a day is more than enough though πŸ˜‚ Still tentatively hopeful for you xx

@Westy22 Good luck with the bloods this week. I know exactly what you mean as it nears the anniversary of conceiving last time it's so tough. If I make it to 15dpo next week it will be a year to the day that we got the BFP 😒 Altbough no doubt I'll be testing way before then πŸ˜‚

OP posts:
xxcxdonxx · 22/01/2024 21:55

That would be good timing @Westy22 but yes quite right to continue this week to cover all eventualities!

Im sorry, milestones like that are really hard and so difficult not to go down the thought process of where you would have been. Sounds like a good plan for your gp, I often think if you don’t ask specific questions then it’s not offered up.

SnookyPook · 22/01/2024 22:28

@Sez281 @Paws4thought thank you - yep 12wk scan booked in for 2nd Feb. Can't quite believe it.

Sorry a few of you have tough anniversaries coming up. Mine of my MMC is too - I remember vividly I had a day of implantation cramps on Valentine's Day last year, and got my positive test a week later. I can tell it's definitely easier to face it now I have this new pregnancy on the go, but it is still poignant. It's weird too still being relatively early on and nervous as to how it will all progress and thinking on a parallel timeline I'd have a 3 month old. I'm hopeful this year will still bring lovely news for everyone but a year is a tough milestone isn't it. πŸ’•
