I had some bloods back this week - all normal, going for a internal scan next week, actually very impressed with the service

Hi all - just catching up with the new thread and to see how you all are.

@JC084 sorry to hear your news but that's great that EPAU have booked you in - hopefully you can get some answers. And until confirmed otherwise, there is still hope 🙏🏼

I also had a scare this week - had some spotting and a sharp stabby pain on Tuesday night. Rang my EPAU and they booked me a scan for the next afternoon. I was absolutely convinced it was another loss and was so so nervous but they found a heartbeat and said everything is looking good still! Measuring 8 weeks which was consistent with the previous scan. They couldn't see an obvious cause for the bleeding but have now put me on progesterone pessaries due to my recurrent losses and the bleed. So fingers crossed... This pregnancy has now got further than all 3 of my losses last year which is a nice milestone but I'm still feeling cautious and very conscious there is still a chunk of first trimester to go.

Had my booking appointment today and a really lovely midwife who completely got the anxiety - she had her first and only child at the age of 42 - an IVF pregnancy after years of struggles. Was nice to get someone sympathetic and definitely no judgement about being an older Mum (turned 38 last week). Made me think of us all on this thread! Hoping to see more BFPs soon.

@SouthwestSis everything crossed for you! I've never had strong tests at first and have always been a 'wait until 14dpo' kinda gal! As others have said, the fact it wasn't fmu could definitely have contributed too. Hope to see it progressing for you over the next few days 💗

BiscuitDreams · 06/01/2024 07:46

@JC084 Sorry to hear you're going through all this. It must be so stressful. I'm glad you got your appointment and hopefully you'll know more on Tuesday. Take care. 🌻

Early pregnancy sucks. It's the constant stress and worry and everything is uncertain. It's always worse if you have had previous losses so you can never get excited about being pregnant again. I do envy those who have straightforward pregnancies and sail through happily. If I end up with two lines on a test I will be a nervous wreck. But I guess we have to go through it all on the off chance that things go well. Sending good vibes to everyone struggling.

Not much to report here. I think I'm 3dpo and just feel achy and tired but I'm always like this. 😅 I noticed my sense of smell is very sensitive again but I think it's a relic from my past pregnancy, and I'm so obviously symptom spotting!

Wishing everyone a lovely weekend

RoseH36 · 06/01/2024 17:40

@JC084 how are you doing today? A holiday sounds like a great idea. I'm a Personal Travel Consultant so run off my feet at the moment with bookings, at least it will make the next TWW fly by.

@SnookyPook hope you don't have any more scares and great to hear things are still going well for you.

@worldwidetravel2017 I saw that one when I contemplated getting a new game for Christmas. Does look good.

I started testing again today as I forgot yesterday so obviously started from a low. However, I've started getting EWCM this afternoon and have felt ache on my right side so not sure if I may ovulate early (I'd predicted around Tuesday). Just tested again and still low so will see what it says tomorrow morning. We have a rare date night with DS staying at my parents overnight so may have to take advantage of that 😂

worldwidetravel2017 · 06/01/2024 17:44

Shot in the dark - is also a good game

As is - exploding kittens

As is perudo - dice game :)

Excited 4 seeing mates tomo and fri 4 games nights

VixFromThe6ix · 06/01/2024 18:18

@JC084 sorry to read your update :( glad your hubby is back and hopefully giving you tons of cuddles. It must have been so hard having to put a happy face with your toddler. I agree with others, book your trip!!! Having something to look forward to it a great feeling and will hopefully take your mind off things.

@SnookyPook sorry about your scare and glad things are coming along great 👍 it's never relaxing, is it? I just found out my placenta scan was abnormal so now after a high of good nipt test results I'm back down low wondering what this will mean long term for the baby. Ugh

@SouthwestSis fingers crossed for you!!! I hope that line progresses and everything will work out. Sad that getting a positive result is no longer the reason to celebrate. Sending all my positive thoughts over to you.

@worldwidetravel2017 I'm always looking for good games especially where 2 players can play. Just looked that one up and it's $30 on Amazon canada. I've put it in my cart and will see if the price will drop a bit. Thanks for the suggestion

Exploding kittens is also good

We have fam in Canada - near toronto

I was there in the year 2000

RoseH36 · 06/01/2024 19:24

@VixFromThe6ix hope that doesn't mean anything too bad for you and everything will be fine. Thinking of you.

VixFromThe6ix · 06/01/2024 19:44

@worldwidetravel2017 I heard about that one! I got the unstable unicorns so I figured they were similar?

@RoseH36 thank you ! I didn't really understand what is wrong but I think the gist is that something is not supplying either enough blood or enough oxygen. And while it won't matter too much right now this can cause slowed growth in third trimester. That part scared me. My obgyn is on vacation and this was a substitute doctor, I cannot wait to hear her explanation when I see her in February. Till then I'm going to keep positive that everything will be ok

@VixFromThe6ix ah bless you that does sound a bit scary. I guess it will mean extra monitoring and checks in the 3rd trimester. I guess it's good they are aware of it and hopefully there are things they can do that will help Babba along 💕

JC084 · 07/01/2024 10:12

Thanks everyone for the below messages.
Not feeling the best, but I'll be ok. Hopefully Tuesdays appointment will start to give me
Some help.

I hope everyone else is doing ok.
This thread has really helped me so thank you. It can be hard to chat about in 'real life' so it's great to have support from others here

jellyfish2210 · 07/01/2024 19:38

Does any track their temps? Does anyone have a thermometer recommendation and a quick run down of what the heck you do with it?

Lalaland13 · 07/01/2024 19:54

Very recently bought a BBT thermometer eBay cheapie but am struggling a bit too! I think you’re meant to do first thing in the morning before you’re out of bed etc and track that to see when you’re temp rises ans thay should align with ovulation. Im getting some off readings… was 32.58 at one point!

ive been feeling a bit spendy lately so have upgraded my Apple Watch to a 9 which apparently tracks BBT! Not arrived yet though

Lalaland13 · 07/01/2024 19:55

Hope all goes super well @worldwidetravel2017 xx
