4dpo here, raging because me and my husband had fight in ovulation day and day after so we only managed the night before ovulation and last night so hopefully we caught 🙃 altho i started a new job this month so I don't really mind if we don't get pregnant. (Altho with the luck we're having I have no doubt I won't be!)

Bumblebee413 · 09/01/2024 22:51

I’m so sorry @JC084. Being on your own at a time like this is incredibly hard. My friend has just reached 16 weeks after bleeding heavily until 11 weeks, so you never know. Sending a lot of love xxx

Sorry I’ve not been on this thread yet. It’s all been a little crazy here as we’ve ripped out our kitchen. Also needed to take a few days off as my mega long pre Christmas cycle was a lot to deal with. Seeing the GP on Friday for an MOT as everything feels off balance. I’m using pre mom with the app for the first time but I’m very confused. I’ve got my darkest reading today and it says I ovulated yesterday… 🤷🏼‍♀️

We are both shattered. Will be very impressed if we manage anything any time soon.

Bumblebee413 · 10/01/2024 08:06

How were things overnight @JC084 ? X

JC084 · 10/01/2024 08:10

Hi @Bumblebee413 thanks for your message. Hope your GP appointment goes ok this week.
I've been referred now for further tests due to recurring loss and so just waiting for my appointment to come through for Feb.
Exhausted today as my daughter has been up since 3.30am unwell. Hoping we can both get some rest later

jellyfish2210 · 10/01/2024 11:46

That's me into the TTW. AF due on the 24th. I really hate this part of TTC. It pretty much consumes my every thought. Even more so since having CP last month.

I have an appointment in February for HyCoSy, would really love to be pregnant before that comes around so that I don't have to do it. The internal scan I had was quite painful so kind of dreading having to go through that again!!

EvelynKatie · 10/01/2024 17:49

I haven’t posted on this thread for a few cycles but been following along. I think my cycle 6 is about to end as cramping and AF due.

So, I’m planning to contact GP. Ours has us fill in econsult and they go from there. Is there anything I need to say do you think? Are GPs aware that 35+ only need to wait 6 months for blood tests?

jellyfish2210 · 10/01/2024 18:00

@EvelynKatie that's what I had to do for ours. They did bloods right away but then wanted ti repeat it a couple times before they referred me for further testing.

Hopefully they are on the ball for you

EvelynKatie · 10/01/2024 18:06

Thanks @jellyfish2210 I was wondering if I need to bother telling them I track cycles, OPKs and temp via watch, ovulate around CD16 with 12 day luteal etc etc. but I’ve heard many GPs don’t actually have much knowledge on this stuff anyway, so probably just need to keep it simple?

jellyfish2210 · 10/01/2024 18:33

@EvelynKatie I basically just told them that we had been trying for more than 6 months and I'm 35 so current guidance is to discuss with GP. Best to keep it simple I think

Bumblebee413 · 10/01/2024 19:42

My app is telling me that ovulation was on CD15, but surely it was CD16 based on this?

@Bumblebee413 do you mean like the graph part? Mine does that. It doesn't seem to sync up the graph with the strips on my version. It's close but not right. I've used it three cycles

Bumblebee413 · 10/01/2024 20:14

Yes! Sorry- realised it doesn’t actually show there. Here’s the graph. I think you’re right though, it’s almost like they don’t talk to each other.

Ohh I did download Premom but I’ve not really set it up! How have you got those numbers by the ovulation tests?

Bumblebee413 · 10/01/2024 22:02

It generates them itself. This is my first cycle using it x

Lalaland13 · 10/01/2024 22:27

Ahh I just had a Quick Look! I’m cycle day 9 I think and so far my ovulation tests show nothing! I will get adding them to the Premom too 😀😀

RoseH36 · 11/01/2024 08:13

I struggled to get on with the strips, I used them alongside the Clearblue digital but I found it a lot of guesswork looking at the lines so didn't have any confidence to switch to just those.

Hope everyone's doing ok. I'm absolutely shattered with work and doing late nights everyday, always the same this time of year in the travel industry. At least it's taking my mind of the TWW as no space in my brain for any thoughts that aren't work 😂

Is gd

EvelynKatie · 11/01/2024 13:41

My GP practice very quickly came back to me to arrange an appointment with my GP for next week. Surprised as assumed they would just book me straight in for blood tests, but will see what GP says.

Teela86 · 11/01/2024 14:21

@EvelynKatie your Dr surgery sounds way more efficient than mine! Good work

RoseH36 · 11/01/2024 15:33

@EvelynKatie good luck! Mine booked me an appointment then referred me to the recurrent miscarriage clinic for them to do all the bloods and scans so yours may be similar. My GP didn't have anything to do with it.

worldwidetravel2017 · 11/01/2024 15:48

Curiosity killed the cat and all that - how many of you have had your prolactin levels checked ?

A friend of mine with miscarriage history via ivf etc - had some gp NHS tests done - and her prolactin is high..
( and her iron low )

Im guna ask next week4 my prolactin to be checked - based on hairy chin (!) And irregular periods - both symptoms of high prolactin

Lalaland13 · 11/01/2024 17:03

Just been for the internal scan - she said all looks good and there is a egg in the follicle … my ovulation tests show this though!

Daniki · 12/01/2024 14:01

@Bumblebee413 even day 17 looking at that, did you continue testing to get your peak?

Bumblebee413 · 12/01/2024 14:37

@Daniki thanks- I did. It did say day 16 in the end. I had 0. 31 on day 17 and 0.59 last night, so I think I’ve peaked but still slightly confusing 😄

Daniki · 12/01/2024 14:44

@Bumblebee413 when it starts climbing I'd test 3 times a day to be safe and catch it! Also I'd be dtd all around these days anyway just to be safe 😂
