@CatCaretaker defo rising, I would take another few tests through out the day to pin point your peak. I would also test twice a day and up to 4 times a day when it's surging, otherwise you'll miss it!

CatCaretaker · 09/03/2024 09:50

@CurlyWurly1991 my cycles vary every month, so I have to pinpoint it this cycle to time the day 21 test.

Once the peak has occurred is ovulation same day or next day, you reckon?

CatCaretaker · 09/03/2024 09:53

@Daniki and @CurlyWurly1991 OK thanks, I'll test next wee too so, to figure it out if it's rising or falling.

Daniki · 09/03/2024 09:56

So once you have your peak ovulation would be in the next 24/48 hours. Peak day would be best day for TTC!

SnookyPook · 09/03/2024 10:05

@CatCaretaker deffo test again today. If I had a morning reading like that I'd probs try again around 1pm and 9pm. My peaks were often the evening. Once you've identified peak I think ovulation is usually within 12-24 hours. So with my evening peak readings I usually presumed I would ovulate some time during the next day. Good luck!

CatCaretaker · 09/03/2024 11:02

Thanks everyone!

flowersinthecloud · 09/03/2024 11:22

Does anyone else find it hard with newborns, toddlers and younger friends pregnancy announcements all around them? What are your coping mechanisms?

Oh goodness yes, everywhere, all the time. My only coping mechanism is trying to believe that it will be us soon, though I have no good reason for believing that 😏

It can be tricky

worldwidetravel2017 · 09/03/2024 12:35

Mothers day tomo.. hhm

I really like Tommys - we see a mum campaign

Lalaland13 · 09/03/2024 15:37

That looks like what I get and take as a postive @CatCaretaker - mine never seem that dark! It must be v close I reckon! Am also tracking ovulation at the mo! Fingers crossed for us all this month x

Lalaland13 · 09/03/2024 15:38

How you getting on @worldwidetravel2017 - sorry if I’ve missed but are you okay to TTC this month? X

Lalaland13 · 09/03/2024 15:43

Yeah @flowersinthecloud it feels like someone every 5 mins! Three of my antenatal had their second so far this year, I’m just waiting for the next announcement in the group. I think it’s okay to be happy for others whilst feeling bit sad for yourself 😢 fingers crossed for us all. We have been trying for #2 since September and have had one chemical know of, my cycles have been a bit all over since we started trying 🤦‍♀️🤦‍♀️

Lalaland13 · 09/03/2024 15:46

Sorry not helpful @flowersinthecloud - I guess let yourself be a bit sad and frustrated … but remain positive/vent here . It is hard though. One of my close friends having her second in summer, her first is 3 months young than mine and that has been a bit tough. We haven’t spoke too much about my position recently but she did send me text one time (meant in kindness!) but I felt patronising … ‘be patient, stop tracking… it’ll happen when you least expect?!’ Not helpful! Ok for you to say!

Does anyone else find it hard with newborns, toddlers and younger friends pregnancy announcements all around them? What are your coping mechanisms?

Yes. Resentment. Lol. It's hard but I try to be happy for them. I do find that if a friend is pregnant I tend to contact them a bit less because I don't want to hear about it. I'm probably really selfish but it's self preservation. I do make sure to check in and ask how they're doing because they are still friends.

One of my best friends has recently started TTC her first (she's 38, if that's relevant), and I dread getting the "I'm pregnant" message. I would be over the moon for her because she has wanted to become a mother for so long, but I'm not sure my jealousy could handle regular pregnancy updates. We'll see how it goes.

We've actually taken a bit of a break yet again because life got in the way, and also we're still on the fence. 🙈 We have given it a go this month however, and I think this might be the first month in a long time we may have timed things right. I've used opks and I've had a positive for the last three days (not sure why!), but we DTD right around the first positive, and then yesterday. Hopefully that's enough. 🤞

Good luck everyone!

D12PO for me today, decided I wouldn't test until tomorrow when my period is due, but still wouldn't be able to feel excited by a positive after having a chemical and an early loss in the last 6 months.
Anyone else at a similar point in their cycle?

Hairydairyfair · 11/03/2024 16:53

I'm about to turn 38 and have just started TTC.

I had a fertility test/MOT done last August and the results were:

AMH 7.1 pmol/l, total antral follicle 15

The doctor said this was at the lower end of average for my age - particularly singling out the AMH.

I have no context or experience in this area. Is it particularly low? Wondering if anyone else has got pregnant with this AMH level? Have I left it too late?

worldwidetravel2017 · 11/03/2024 17:00

My amh last year was much higher than that
Im.37 now though

We concieved fast last year - 2nd cycle trying but then had early miscarriage

Are you taking regular vit d ? - helps minimises miscarriage risk

Are you a healthy weight ?

Have u read the it starts with an egg book ?

Have u had your feretin - b12 & vit d checked ? - all 3 important in conception

Ask nhs 2 test those ^^

Also prolactin
And progsterone / day 21 test etc
