@HerbaceousPerennial welcome to the group! So sorry about your MMC, they're so painful.
@samilicious this time of year can be so tough, I catch myself thinking that I should be finding out the sex of my previous baby this week which is difficult.
@CluelessInLondon chuck it on a pizza has been my absolute go to 😂

Bali200 · 17/12/2023 21:05

Thank you @Wise0wl very pleased to report the scan went well 🥰 it wasn’t until 5.30pm so was an anxious wreck all day! I really hope yours goes well tomorrow! What time’s it at? X

@Oxalis00 how are you getting on? Hope you’re doing okay x

Welcome @HerbaceousPerennial, very sorry for your loss, but this is a wonderful group to be a part of x

Hope everyone else is good! X

Wise0wl · 17/12/2023 21:10

@Bali200 so pleased for you!! Also can’t believe you had to wait all day - thankfully mine’s at 10.30 so won’t have too much waiting tomorrow. Will update you after 🤞x

ThelastRolo20 · 17/12/2023 21:14

@Bali200 that's great news! How far along are you now? @Oxalis00 good luck for tomorrow ❤️

I've booked myself a scan between 9 and 10 weeks which is around the time the last baby passed. I have a long wait though, it's not until 20th Jan!

Bali200 · 17/12/2023 21:29

Thank you @Wise0wl I know, especially as my pregnancy insomnia has me starting my days at 4.30am, it was such a long time to wait and had about 5 breakdowns 😭 but feel so relieved it went well. Wishing you all the luck for tomorrow x

Thanks @ThelastRolo20 I was measuring 10+1, should have been 10+3 going off LMP or 10+0 based off ovulation date so looks like they’re catching up. How are you feeling? It seems far away but I bet it’ll fly by with Christmas and NY happening! X

Oxalis00 · 17/12/2023 21:46

Ahh so pleased for you @Bali200 - those 10 weeks have gone quick! Probably not for you, I realise… Thanks for the updates :) Please do keep us posted!

Thank you for asking about me. I’m doing ok… No more bleeding on progesterone but I guess it would mask a MC. I’ve been told to test again in 2 weeks and that I could possibly get a scan in 2-4 if test is still positive and no significant bleeding. I can’t imagine this will go very well given my history but I guess it’s worth a try. I don’t really understand how a pregnancy test would help though, as with my MMC I was still testing positive weeks after the baby stopped growing. I guess a BFN would be conclusive but a BFP would not. Not thrilled about potentially another long wait only to find out there’s no baby, but equally I don’t really want a scan before NY away with family (inc very pregnant SIL) and having to go through MC there. Ugh. Have been busy this weekend so not had loads of time to think about it, and I guess for now just getting on with things is best. All very strange and surreal though.

ThelastRolo20 · 17/12/2023 21:55

Sorry @Oxalis00 I meant to tag @Wise0wl in my previous post.

It must be so tough for you right now in a sort of limbo but I have everything crossed that the progesterone helps and you get a good outcome when you can get a scan x

samilicious · 17/12/2023 21:56

@Bugdem123 it's always been completely random when it's worked for me before. Like right at the beginning of cycle around cd 7-10, around ovulation when physically getting the urge to bd massively and maybe another time nearer the end of my cycle. Conceived right at the end and right at the beginning of my cycle before completely out of sync with when my ovulation should be, though I wasn't tracking either time. No idea if there's any science to this btw, just giving it a go this month when things are crazy life wise and feeling a bit poop grief wise to hype myself up over it. Hope you're ok after your heart to heart btw, I think this is all a process that leads us to our future babies who are destined to be and we're just made the ride the horrible rollercoaster of it all

I'm ignoring it's going on this month only and will be right back to testing and checking cm like crazy next month no doubt with extra beans 🤪

@Ladyinpink1 yes on the concentration front!

@CluelessInLondon thank you 💕💕

@ThelastRolo20 that is really tough :( that bit really got me too. The private scan place didn't cancel my sex reveal scan when I called them and I got email reminders about it which stung a lot. Hugs to you 💕 hope time flies until your scan this time

@Bali200 yay great news ♥️

ThelastRolo20 · 17/12/2023 22:05

@Bali200 I think time will go fast and January and then will likely halt to a complete stop 😂 annoyingly (although a blessing I know) I have ZERO symptoms apart from sore boobs. The only symptom I had with my first was tiredness and my second pregnancy was the same until it ended. So I feel very not-pregnant which is disconcerting at the best of times!
@samilicious thank you ❤️ I was going to try and hold out to the 12 week scan but if something is going to go wrong I'd rather found out sooner rather than later. No point going before then either as baby passed last time at 9-10 weeks so it probably won't reassure me in any case!

Wise0wl · 17/12/2023 22:16

@Bali200 @ThelastRolo20 thank you ♥️ time is going so fast in life (so not ready for Christmas!) but so slowly when it comes to this pregnancy, it’s taking up so much brain space! Like you @ThelastRolo20 I’ve got virtually no symptoms which makes it so disconcerting (though I know symptoms don’t really mean anything!)

@Oxalis00 this time of year - and other people’s pregnancies (which I’ve still not really properly resolved in my head) make things so much harder. I am so sorry for the uncertainty you have and I’ve got everything crossed for you. I know what you mean about the progesterone masking if something has gone wrong - part of my worries the last few days have been why I’ve had more bleeding despite the progesterone, and whilst I want reassurance that things are progressing I’d rather not have bad news over the next couple of weeks. Do you have a busy week up til Christmas to take your mind off it at all? X

SnookyPook · 18/12/2023 08:09

@Bali200 oh that's lovely news 🥰

@Wise0wl thinking of you this morning! Hope it goes really well ❤️

@Oxalis00 it's so hard when your heart is guarded right from the get-go isn't it. One day at a time... Hopefully it will be great news in a couple of weeks time... And then again after that up until baby arrives.

@ThelastRolo20 aw I bet that feels ages away but at least you have a date to work towards!

@HerbaceousPerennial welcome to the group and so very sorry to hear of your loss. As you can see, there are a few of us a bit further on with our journeys again but we all know only too well the pain that you are in the middle of. Sending a big hug. X

My scan is this week when I should be ~7+2... Fluctuating massively between quite stoic and almost preemptive PTSD (only way I can think to describe it!) Hey ho... What will be, will be. 😬🙏🏼🌈

ThelastRolo20 · 18/12/2023 09:08

@Wise0wl glad it's not just me in the no symptom camp!

@SnookyPook it does help to have a date and actually it's less than 5 weeks, and by the time I'm celebrating my daughter's birthday in early Jan it'll be 2 weeks to go - it'll come round before I know it. Your scan is Thursday? I know what you mean by the PTSD - I'm already preparing mentally for it be bad news. Definitely a normal self preservation tactic I think

HerbaceousPerennial · 18/12/2023 09:18

Thanks everyone for the lovely welcome! Lovely to hear some of you have conceived again and fingers crossed for everyone on the thread 🤞 it’s interesting to see how people are tracking ovulation. I have tried and failed to track mine but I’m in a slightly odd position as I have PCOS so my cycles are usually somewhere from 6 weeks to 3 months, not ideal for conceiving quickly but I do at least have hope that I could be pregnant a very high proportion of the time 😂

CluelessInLondon · 18/12/2023 09:46

@Bali200 That's such great news that your scan went well - I guess your next one now will be the dating scan?

@Wise0wl Good luck for today, let us know how it goes.

@Oxalis00 Sorry to hear there's still a lot of confusion, it's so difficult to know what's going on at this early stage, especially when any bleeding can mean something or nothing. I guess right now you just have to take things one day at a time, and remember that you're pregnant unless anything tells you otherwise. Really keeping fingers crossed that the progesterone helps and that this is a sticky bean for you.

samilicious · 18/12/2023 09:50

@ThelastRolo20 totally get that, I'd be the same. Although don't think I'll go for private scans again after my last experience. Went for one at 11w and they missed a very obvious sign that something wasn't right (brain wrong shape) 😟 I did book the cheaper scan place and feel like the more spenny one near me would have picked it up though

samilicious · 18/12/2023 09:51

@SnookyPook fingers crossed for your scan ♥️

@HerbaceousPerennial welcome and sorry for your loss 💕

samilicious · 18/12/2023 09:56

Good luck today @Wise0wl 😘

@Oxalis00 glad that you've got some distraction. NHS system so pants sometimes isn't it, especially for women's stuff. The always asking for a test thing always baffles me when it will show for so much longer

Sorry for message spam everyone!

ThelastRolo20 · 18/12/2023 10:05

@samilicious oh that's so awful, can't believe they missed it at 11 weeks. I decided to go because if it's looking good, then I will be in a better place for the 12 week scan, and if it's bad news I'm already ahead of the game.

At my.last 12 week scan they had the screen on the whole time too so I had to see my baby with no heartbeat three times. I don't think they're meant to do that so next time I'll be asking for the screen to be off until they see a heartbeat.

@HerbaceousPerennial that must be so tricky having such different cycle lengths! Have you don't BBT tracking before? I never did it but might be a good tool for you?

Bali200 · 18/12/2023 11:28

Thank you everyone ❤️ I honestly was expecting the worst again, the PTSD is real @SnookyPook @ThelastRolo20!

@ThelastRolo20 aww it’s really not that far away but I know what you mean, January always feels like it is a million days long but I hope it goes quick for you! X

@Oxalis00 it’s really great how the GP got you on the progesterone right away, I really hope it helps and that it’s a sticky bean this time. I understand about the reluctance to rely on tests though, maybe you could push to have your hcg monitored through your bloods? X

@CluelessInLondon yes got my dating scan on the 28th dec so not too long to go either which is great. I thought it might have been later due to Christmas/NY hence why I booked the 10 week scan to break it up a little bit. Hope you’re feeling better? How many dpo are you now? X

Wise0wl · 18/12/2023 11:34

Thank you for the well wishes, you are all so lovely.

It’s not good news, I’ve had another MMC. Because of the junior doctors strikes and Christmas, options are a bit limited, so I’m waiting for an MVA.

I am completely heartbroken. Everyone said the chances of it happening again were so small, but here I am.

CluelessInLondon · 18/12/2023 11:47

@Bali200 I'm 3DPO today so still a fair bit of time to wait but at least with everything being busy over Christmas I have some distractions this month. Feeling a bit better but still under the weather and quite fed up of it now - it's now morphed into a cough which keeps waking me up during the night which is really annoying! That's great that you don't have to wait until the new year for your dating scan.

CluelessInLondon · 18/12/2023 11:49

Oh @Wise0wl, I am so sorry to hear this - it feels so cruel and unfair that you are having to go through this again, and especially at this time of year. I really hope you can surround yourself with your loved ones over the next couple of weeks and get all of the comfort and support that you need. Sending you a big hug. ❤

HerbaceousPerennial · 18/12/2023 11:56

@Wise0wl I’m so, so sorry. What awful news

Oxalis00 · 18/12/2023 11:59

Oh @Wise0wl I’m so, so sorry. That is totally horrible. I know you were nervous with the spotting but you still never really expect that news - I can hear your shock and sadness. I hope the staff are kind and helpful and you get what you need quickly.

Oxalis00 · 18/12/2023 12:04

@Bali200 Yes I suppose HCG rising would give more of an indication. I’m not sure GP would think it justified at this stage though. I also can’t figure out whether I’d personally rather seek information ASAP (before NY) or wait in hope…
