Fingers crossed for you @ThelastRolo20 🤞🏻
Well done for getting through this time xx

@Wise0wl sorry you've been battling toddler sickness too! Is ovulation time near for you now?

@HerbaceousPerennial 😂😂😂 oh those seeds! I think I'm going to pre-grind a load up in my blender and put them in a jar, then can just scoop them into stuff easier as and when.

@13lucy sounds very similar to mine so hopefully that's reassuring on some level. I just called my GP - I had light periods for about 5 months and shorter cycles. Then went up a few days and tiny bit heavier. Then started TTC again and they went crazy stop-starting, 1 and 2 days so was really freaking out - that's when I called them. They said because at that point it had been over 6 months things should have been fine by then so wanted to check. Worth calling if you're worrying though, even if it's less than 6mo

@Ladyinpink1 yeah AF due today according to Flo but think it's more likely tomorrow because my cycles have been 26 days for a few months now and today is CD 26. Symptom-wise (sorry tmi) I know this is weird but I always 💩 way more often when AF is due so whenever that happens I'm convinced I'm out. Had a bit of unexplained insomnia which I never get (no caffeine or anything) and a lot less dry down there than usual at this time but nothing crazy. When is yours due? Yes cmon baby twitch! Have you got any other symptoms? How was your meal? Omg your pineapple comment took be back - I bought a pineapple corer last time I was TTC! Chucked it when I moved house thinking "I'm not doing that nonsense again" and here I am on Amazon rebuying 😂

@CluelessInLondon thank you! Where are you in your cycle now?

Honestly I've been going mad thinking about the stress thing (irony). Last two times I've conceived have been after having a few weeks off work sick and in between jobs had a few weeks off. Might have to go off sick just to have a chance 🥲 but work for a smaller company now with no sick pay, just statutory and couldn't afford my bills on that. New job time instead maybe

moosey89 · 22/01/2024 10:07

@Ladyinpink1 I'm ok - doesn't feel like this month is my month so I'm getting a bit fed up but not as upset as previous months! Af is due Sunday.

@ThelastRolo20 thinking of you today x

ThelastRolo20 · 22/01/2024 11:12

Not good news I'm afraid. Baby pretty much stopped growing straight after the last scan. I should be near 10 weeks and they never even got to 6 - I was expecting it so I'm doing okay, just deflated.

Hopefully being booked in for surgery tomorrow then just going to look forward to the holiday in April before starting again. Two MMC in a row feels like very bad luck!

HerbaceousPerennial · 22/01/2024 11:12

@samilicious blending might be the way forward. Sat here trying to work with a wee dish of mixed seeds picking out the sunflower ones 🙄 evidence that I have finally lost the plot entirely! It’s interesting what you say about stress - I think for me it’s not so much that work stresses me out exactly, it’s more I get stressed that I have to give something else my time and attention, when I want to focus on getting myself to a good place mentally and physically.

@ThelastRolo20 I hope all goes well today. I think you should be so proud of your strength over the last fortnight.

@Ladyinpink1 pineapple going on the shopping list too!

graceinc22 · 22/01/2024 11:26

@ThelastRolo20 I'm so sorry to hear that, especially after what you've already gone through. I hope the holiday is really refreshing and restoring x

HerbaceousPerennial · 22/01/2024 11:32

I’m so sorry @ThelastRolo20. Life is so unfair sometimes. Hope you are taking good care of yourself

Wise0wl · 22/01/2024 11:59

I am so, so sorry @ThelastRolo20. It’s so unfair. Do ask if there’s any mental health support or talking therapies available, I really hope there are. We were also offered that we could pay privately for genetic testing, which we opted in for, in case that’s something you might want to consider. Happy to chat if that’s at all helpful x

SnookyPook · 22/01/2024 12:01

@ThelastRolo20 so sorry to hear this update. I know you had psyched yourself for it but it doesn't make the reality any easier to face. Sending a big hug. Hope your holiday is really healing and that there are good things ahead for you later in the year. 💕

Wise0wl · 22/01/2024 12:02

@samilicious I’m on CD10, so hopefully this week 🤞

on the stress point, I was working insane amounts when I conceived DC but I’m also older. Conscious that my MMCs both happened when I was really burning the midnight oil and felt rubbish but was persevering, so am determined to take things slightly easier if there’s a next time, just in case. Can you wfh?

Bali200 · 22/01/2024 12:39

Really very sorry to hear this update @ThelastRolo20, life can be so cruel. Sending you lots of love xx

moosey89 · 22/01/2024 13:58

I'm so sorry @ThelastRolo20 - your story is very similar to mine in terms of this loss and 2 MMCs in a row. It is horrible. Sending you all the love and I hope your holiday is wonderful xx

Bugdem123 · 22/01/2024 15:41

I'm so sorry @ThelastRolo20. I hope everything goes smoothly tomorrow, I'll be thinking of you x

Ladyinpink1 · 22/01/2024 17:25

@samilicious your brain sounds as full of things as mine, think I need a PA to deal with my life lol. Noooo don't buy the corer 😂 the centre core of the pineapple is the bit that helps implantation because of the high bromine in it so you need to eat it....It's a bit chewy but OK.
Your symptoms sound promising, I had vivid dreams last pregnancy! Keep us up to date. Aw I googled the eye twitch and it said a lack of potassium can cause it so I had banana and toast this morning and I think it's gone, prob coincidence as I'm not sure it could of cured it that fast lol but either way it's gone , so I think I was being silly.
Do you think you will look for a new job then? Going to work is much easier if a maternity leave is in sight. x

Sorry it doesn't feel like your month @moosey89 but sometimes the cycle you are least expecting is when it happens. Really hopeful for you x

Ladyinpink1 · 22/01/2024 17:28

@ThelastRolo20 I'm so so sorry to hear that, even being prepared, it's like your stomach just drops out of your body.
I found the second time really hard because as someone on another thread said to me "it feels like a pattern", but it's not a pattern at all, and there is no reason to think the next time won't be a success. Sending a tight hug 💐 xxxxxx

samilicious · 22/01/2024 20:08

Oh @ThelastRolo20 I'm so sorry :( how many ups and downs have the last few weeks taken you on?! Such a mindf#£k. Sending lots of love to you and hope you manage to get sorted soon. Life really isn't fair sometimes having two in a row x

samilicious · 22/01/2024 20:26

@HerbaceousPerennial there must be something to say for brain training when sorting the seeds at least?! I get what you mean - there's a lot to be said for the mental load of it all. It's a lot

@Wise0wl ooh great stuff! Which OPKs are you using this cycle if any? Ahh ok - good to hear that I'm not totally out for stressing 🥲 I wfh part time at the moment but the job is quickly becoming full time job/hybrid as that's what my other colleagues/bosses seem to do gaah. Only 5 of us in the business. Hopefully will get better soon

@Ladyinpink1 I'm laughing because I bought the corer to eat just the core. Why didn't I just think about eating the whole pineapple instead?? 😂 you're right, brain too full of things, no room for any sense. Maybe it's a potassium dip if a bean is starting to take all your nutrients? Who knows. I've pulled a sicky for the first time in years today because I felt so stressy all weekend. DD at MILs - did minimal house bits and just watched telly all day. Highly recommend if anyone is feeling rubbish. Deffo going to apply for jobs, then will see what happens if I catch in mean time. I feel like applying makes me feel better somehow even if nothing comes of it 😅

@moosey89 sorry you feel crap and feel like you're out :( this time of year is dreary enough as it is without ttc disappointment on top x

moosey89 · 22/01/2024 20:31

Thanks @Ladyinpink1 and @samilicious . I've got 2 of my due dates that didn't happen coming up on the 30th Jan and 11th Feb and my birthday is between the 2 (turning 30 + 5 lol) so just a lot of feelings going on right now, especially not being pregnant again x

Wise0wl · 22/01/2024 20:54

@samilicious I’m using CB ovulation tests, expensive but I like the clarity. I get too stressed about interpreting OPKs!

@Ladyinpink1 how’s the eye twitch?

@moosey89 sorry you’re feeling down. I get it, hitting my first MMC due date and not being pregnant and I assumed I would be by now. Are you doing anything to celebrate your birthday?

moosey89 · 22/01/2024 20:56

@Wise0wl I don't usually, I'm a bit wierd but I have always felt strange celebrating my birthday, like - I didn't "achieve" being born so why am I celebrating 😂 but I've arranged a meal out at an amazing dirty burger place the night before with some good friends which will be a nice distraction without being too much. Thought I could do with it x

Ladyinpink1 · 22/01/2024 21:38

@samilicious ha ha, oh no sorry, I thought you were coring it so that you didn't have to eat the core 🤣 my pineapple was really delicious (Sainsburys) I don't know if they are in season or something, I must read up on it (future pineapple expert here) ooh what a lovely day just chilling. If no AF tomorrow will you test? x

I'm sorry hun, @moosey89 I understand, my due date on 6 March and I also turn 26 (ahem 36 🫣) very soon. And yes the not being pregnant by a due date is harder. But you still have time for good news before then... hopeful for you. Sending hugs xx

@Wise0wl no, the twitch hasn't came back so yes I must of just been clutching at staws in hope (and slight desperation lol) I guess. Did you hear anything back from your GP about the tests and clarifying the numbers that were off? x

HerbaceousPerennial · 22/01/2024 21:39

@Ladyinpink1 @samilicious your messages about the pineapple core made me laugh! Mental image of us all chewing pineapple cores and picking through seeds… the things we do eh? @samilicious a day to yourself sounds an excellent idea. Hope it helped a bit.

@moosey89 a dirty burger place sounds fab. I’m sorry about the due dates - they loom so large and to have two close together must be really tough.

Wise0wl · 22/01/2024 22:14

@samilicious replying in two parts as I’m a bit brain dead this eve, your day to yourself sounds great, and agree that you should apply for other roles and see what’s out there. If there’s something I’ve learnt over the last year it’s that things typically don’t go to plan so you shouldn’t put your life on hold! And pregnancy loss really put the importance of work in perspective. Hope you had a lovely day!

@Ladyinpink1 it’s so hard not to read into everything isn’t it? I hope it was a good sign 🤞 and I’ve now added pineapple to my online shop 😂

@moosey89 sometimes I think of my birthday as a celebration of survival! Dirty burgers with friends sounds lovely.

moosey89 · 23/01/2024 08:59

@Wise0wl that's a good way to look at it, survived another year 😂 the last few years have definitely been about survival for me. Trying to make this one a better one but being in the TTC trenches makes that tricky.

Haylsttc · 23/01/2024 15:02

@Ladyinpink1 I’m good thank you, taking the last cycle off definitely helped mentally! I’m 2dpo today and I’m away this week so it’s helping keep my mind off the tww. How are you getting along?

My cycle has also finally regulated since the miscarriage back to its usual 28 days. From July to October it was anywhere from 26 days to 34 days with not one cycle being the same length or having the same ovulation day. However since November it’s been 28 days so that’s one thing I’m taking as a positive and hoping it will give us a better chance at conceiving! Only thing I’ve done differently since November is take pregnacare so I’m guessing it must have helped regulate my hormones 😊

@ThelastRolo20 I’m so sorry to hear that news, sending you lots of love! Two in a row is really unfair especially with the mental torment you’ve been through these past few weeks waiting on a scan 💔

Hi everyone - please can I join (realise I'm a bit late to the party - I tried to browse through some 😉).
I had surgical management of missed miscarriage last week and desperate to conceive again ASAP (feeling my age and previous difficulty isn't on my side!).
I see a few on the thread have conceived - congratulations! - can I ask how soon after MC it's happened for you guys?
