Thank you @Bugdem123 same hope for you! That sounds interesting, how long will it take to come back?
Pms is awful and definitely exasberates an already super hard situation. I also get much more positive once I am a day or 2 into my period. But those days before are awful. This is also my second cycle seed cycling and I am liking it so far, I don't know if it was a coincidence because we have a vomitting bug that I didn't notice my pms but it was minimal in comparison to normal cycles, I read that seed cycling can do that so will see how this cycle goes
x

@Wise0wl Your fertile time won't be long coming round I hope. I am with you feeling it this cycle, I feel pretty relaxed so far but at the same time, if it doesn't happen this cycle then it will officially be the longest time it has taken to concieve.
Yes I do smep, not done it as strictly this cycle as this fertile week has fallen midweek with dh working a bit late but I got my peak yesterday, dtd last night and plan to tonight and hopefully tomorrow. Do you follow it too? x

@Wise0wl I think you have to take it as a positive that nothing was concerning from the genetic testing - it's hard as I know you want to be able to pinpoint a reason, but maybe it is just really bad luck and the next one will stick. Whereabouts are you heading to next month?

@13lucy I would definitely book a trip away - maybe somewhere not too back of beyond in case you are pregnant and need to be able to access any help at short notice, but I think there's only so long you can put things on hold "just in case". There's so much you might miss out on!

Totally with everyone talking about going out for nice meals - my husband and I ate out loads in December and I made a point of having lots of stuff that was raw/rare/unpasteurised, plus loads to drink! I am paying for it now though, desperately trying to lose some weight so I can squeeze into my ski trousers and still have enough room to spend next week eating my body weight in cheese. 😂

@Ladyinpink1 @Bugdem123 Thank you, I can't wait for my holiday - last day of work today and then I've got tomorrow off to pack and do all of the boring house admin you have to do before going away, then off to the airport in the evening. So excited! @Ladyinpink1 I've been skiing for 11 years now - I originally only took it up because my then-boyfriend, now husband, was really into it and really good at it, but I love it now. I've got a winning combination of good technique and massive risk aversion so I don't have many big tumbles! Good luck with the SMEPping this week, I'm always impressed by anyone with the energy...!

@SnookyPook That's great news about your scan, you must be feeling a lot more positive now. Will you start to tell people once you've had the 12 week scan, or wait a bit longer?

@Bugdem123 @Wise0wl I know what you both mean about the end of the cycle - I don't get really bad PMS thankfully, but there's definitely an element of boredom, almost. Like I'm just a bit "over" that cycle and want to know if it's worked so I can get on with the next one if it hasn't!

SnookyPook · 18/01/2024 09:51

@CluelessInLondon your holiday sounds amazing! Hope you have a fantastic time! I've only had two skiing lessons (UK indoor slopes) and am not a natural... Haha.. but I would love to master it enough to go on a proper skiing holiday as it always looks like such a lovely experience!

Yes I'm feeling a little more hopeful now I must say (although that in itself feels a bit daunting!!) We did actually tell some close family after the scan yesterday which felt lovely. It feels progressed enough to have shared the news a bit less nervously whilst also acknowledging that if anything were to go wrong now I would very much want the support. I don't think we'll do any kind of wider announcement though - just casually share with people as they see us a bit further down the line.

ThelastRolo20 · 18/01/2024 09:59

Hi everyone

Catching up on a few messages! @CluelessInLondon I hope you have a fantastic time away - sounds like it's going to be a wonderful break.

@Bugdem123 sorry you've had a tough few days, it really is a rollercoaster with a lot of ups and downs.

@Wise0wl it's really good that the genetic testing came back okay, but I understand there's still a question of why things aren't going to plan - it really is a double edged sword!

@HerbaceousPerennial I really find when the bad days hit, they really hit. Really positive you're going to come up with a plan with your DH about how to tackle them x

@SnookyPook that's such wonderful news about your scan! I'm so happy for you - each milestone must feel like such a relief

Wise0wl · 18/01/2024 13:06

I loosely follow SMEP @Ladyinpink1 - but as you say life can (and does) get in the way. 🤞 for you this month. I’m going to get my CB ovulation tests back out later this week, so bring on the next week!

@CluelessInLondon to Val D’Isere, what about you?

Hello @ThelastRolo20 how are you doing?

My bloods have come back in the NHS app which is actually a bit unhelpful - lots of good stuff in range, but a few things out of range and I’m not a doctor so I don’t know what the implications are (and Google is not helpful and only says the worst) so I’m sitting tight and waiting to hear from my GP, hopefully next week 🤞

samilicious · 18/01/2024 13:12

@13lucy amazing! Maybe I'll see you there and fingers crossed we're closer to where we want to be by then.

@Wise0wl it took about 4/5 cycles after my MVA to go back to normal. I was so paranoid and got an ultrasound to check everything was right down there and it was. So if you need reassuring at any point deffo recommend. They've started doing them at my gp now which is why I got faster referral than previously. Maybe the same near you?

samilicious · 18/01/2024 13:23

@Ladyinpink1 you're right, a date night would be good. Maybe make me a bit nicer to him after some fun too 😂 he's just been really grumpy lately. Maybe needs a bit of TLC instead of my being grumpy back

@HerbaceousPerennial nothing worse than a badly folded pile of washing! Hope he was forgiving. Riding these hormone waves isn't easy at all

@CluelessInLondon honestly this is the struggle with me too. Did Joe Wickes for a couple of weeks for a bit of balance but that was very short lived 😂

How is everyone doing who's in the TWW?
AF due Monday and feeling anxious through the roof with work stress and toddler sickness bug all week. Feel like any little bean stands no hope. I always worry so much about stress impacting fertility because I was so stressed last time I was pregnant and then resulted in TFMR. The consultant said there's no links between the two but I swear there is. My scientific research is Cameron Diaz in The Holiday saying about women having stress and it shrinking our DNA, I'm not saying I know more than the consultant but there must be something in that surely. So how do we destress when TTC is so stressful? 😂

ThelastRolo20 · 18/01/2024 13:26

@Wise0wl I hope you don't have to wait too long to hear from your GP - Google is the worst. I know as it's all I've been on!

Scan on Monday which will pretty much confirm whether this pregnancy is viable or not. It's been a very long two weeks x

Wise0wl · 18/01/2024 17:31

@samilicious that’s helpful to know about the ultrasound, thank you! And solidarity with the toddler sickness, we’ve been there recently and it’s no fun.

@ThelastRolo20 I’m not in your shoes and it really feels like it has been the longest two weeks! Are your nerves completely frazzled, or have you managed to keep relaxed? And any nice plans this weekend to keep your mind off it? Fingers crossed 🤞 x

ThelastRolo20 · 18/01/2024 18:01

@Wise0wl it's really varied, some days I've been very relaxed thinking it'll be fine, other days I've been very relaxed accepting it won't be fine. Some days I'm endlessly googling for other people's stories 😂

Tomorrow is my usual day off with my daughter, weekend doesn't have much in it but I'll see a couple of friends I imagine. Just can't wait to know either way! I haven't been able to keep up fully, are you still carrying on TTC whilst waiting to hear from your doctor about the latest tests? Xx

HerbaceousPerennial · 18/01/2024 19:13

Ah that’s great @SnookyPook 😊 I’m so glad it’s all going well touch wood. I had a scan at 10 weeks with my son as the midwife suggested it might be a good idea given I didn’t really know when I’d fallen pregnant. It’s magical seeing them waving away on screen.

@13lucy there’s not really much that can be done, when I was diagnosed the consultant basically said stay a healthy weight, eat well and exercise moderately is all that helps. There is a school of thought that PCOS is associated with insulin resistance regardless of weight so one option is basically follow a diabetic’s diet. But that means giving up booze and refined carbs which are my go to comforts when I’m low so bit of a vicious cycle!

@Ladyinpink1 @samilicious 😂 I know, I felt like Sainsbury’s was deliberately trying to thwart me when they came! AND it was one of those massive bulk packs, so it’s 600g or something ludicrous! Then I thought, well, I never have any clue where I am in my daft cycles (anything from 4 weeks to 4-5 months) so I’ll just eat the seeds. DH thought I’d got them for the birds.

@ThelastRolo20 fingers crossed for you.

Wise0wl · 18/01/2024 20:31

@ThelastRolo20 i think that sounds like a very measured way to feel - I really do have everything crossed for you, and I hope you have a relaxing weekend.

Yep! No time like the present, so we’re carrying on TTC. I’m feeling quite positive (CD6) but that’s the rollercoaster we’re all on. Now is the time of opportunity! Give it a few weeks and I’ll be crying and feeling negative, I’m sure…!

CluelessInLondon · 18/01/2024 21:41

@Wise0wl Oh amazing, Val d'Isere/Tignes is my absolute favourite ski area, I love it there. I'm going to Courchevel - been to the 3 Valleys before but always to Val Thorens so looking forward to exploring the other side. And it's been snowing there all day so I am super excited to get out there now!

@samilicious Sorry to hear it's a stressful TWW - I have no idea of the biology behind stress and conception, although there must be something in it because so many people seem to conceive when they go on holiday and relax! You're right though, TTC itself definitely raises the stress levels, on top of work and whatever else anyone has going on in their life. I hope your little one is better soon.

@ThelastRolo20 Keeping everything crossed for your scan on Monday - I really hope it shows things are progressing well. I'm sure it's felt like the most interminable wait so I hope there's good news for you at the end of it. ❤️

@HerbaceousPerennial Laughed out loud at the thought of you explaining to your husband that the bumper bag of seeds isn't for the birds, it's actually meant to help with baby-making. 😂 At least seeds are good for you anyway!

Wise0wl · 18/01/2024 21:52

@CluelessInLondon we’ve skied a lot in the three valleys before, around Courchevel! Have a fantastic time, it’s a such a good holiday for getting perspective and switching off from the day to day.

SnookyPook · 19/01/2024 01:17

@ThelastRolo20 can't imagine how long these 2 weeks have felt. Really hoping for good news for you 💗🙏🏼

ThelastRolo20 · 19/01/2024 08:39

Thanks everyone 😊 I'll be sure to update! Hope everyone has a relaxing weekend in the meantime (whether you're holiday-ing or TTC!) X

13lucy · 20/01/2024 16:32

@samilicious here's to hoping! How did you get referred for an ultrasound after MVA? I'm still having light periods 3 months after mine so it's still a concern. I think I read that you need a saline sonograph to check whether there's any scarring? It's hard not to overthink when things don't seem quite right.

@CluelessInLondon I'm expecting my period just before my birthday now, so if it doesn't happen this time then maybe we will book something a bit different to look forward to! I guess if we are in a country with access to good healthcare then that's as much as we can control! I hope you have an amazing time away!

@SnookyPook so happy for you! That must be such a relief

@ThelastRolo20 sending you all the luck for next week!

So I've just hit a peak OPK today which was a nice surprise - CD19 this time which is still irregular! DTD today, yesterday and a couple of days before that hoping that is enough and then fingers crossed for the temp rise tomorrow! Also means I can get my first blood test booked in for CD1 and get my thyroid function checked which I really need for peace of mind.

Hope everyone else is doing ok and enjoying the weekend.

Ladyinpink1 · 20/01/2024 16:46

@CluelessInLondon Thank you, I hope you are having a lovely time away and it sounds like you are a definite pro skier 🙂 x

That was lovely to be able to tell some of the family @SnookyPook i think it all starts to feel a bit real after that doesn't it x

Yes i'm following it more loosely this cycle too. That's anoying not knowing what the other results mean @Wise0wl I hope your GP can shine some light on them and that you don't have long to wait to find out x

@samilicious I agree, ttc can be so stressful. I hope things have got a little better for you now this weekend. I love that movie too! Have you had any symptoms? I think Monday you said AF is due? x

@ThelastRolo20 Hope the time flies in and you get positive news very soon 💜 x

Hi everyone, long time no speak! I just wanted to check in after my break last cycle to see how you all are doing ❤️

@ThelastRolo20 I’m really hoping for good news, sending you lots of positive energy 💖

Ladyinpink1 · 21/01/2024 14:11

Hi @Haylsttc nice to see your name, how are you feeling? Where are you with things now? I am 4dpo, bought myself a whole pineapple yesterday and so going to eat some each day because I read it is good for the tww and implantation lol x

OP posts:
moosey89 · 21/01/2024 15:29

@Ladyinpink1 bloody love pineapple 😂

Ladyinpink1 · 22/01/2024 07:41

@moosey89 me too, this one is so delicious too. How are you? x

How is everyone else getting on? I started with an eye twitch last night, which in my sensible head I know means nothing especially at 5dpo, but in my crazy ttc head, the last time (and only time) I had this was my pregnancy last year so of course now I'm hopeful this might be the month (likely just setting myself up for a harder dissapointment but I'm going with it lol) x

Yes, lots of love @ThelastRolo20 💗💗💗

Ladyinpink1 · 22/01/2024 08:44
