@samilicious my first cycle after my hysteroscopy was long for me but apart from that everything has been normal, my hormones are normal and I’ve had confirmed ovulation every month so don’t know what’s suddenly gone wrong 😪 I’m so scared to get my hopes up because I’ve done it for every month since June. I’ve read that too, everywhere it does seem to be saying positive things but my gut is telling me otherwise 😪

RedRobyn2021 · 22/12/2023 21:42

@samilicious that's interesting to know!

Sore boobs first time round was the only symptom for me until 6 weeks when I developed HG! Not fun, wouldn't mind skipping that second time round.

Anyway just clutching at straws as I feel no different really

Ladyinpink1 · 23/12/2023 07:05

@GeorgeR28 I am sorry you are feeling worried, I second the comment about implantation, maybe it's good news, but I also understand you don't want to get your hopes up as it could be random spotting. It's so much of the unknown isn't it. Will you be testing soon or waiting for your period? x

@samilicious Good, I'm glad you are feeling a little better. Yes the last thread had loads of bfp so hopefully this one goes the same way and we get at least 1 bfp soon x

I'm not sure whether that would effect things or not. It's hard in the tww when you are analysing everything isn't it, but it's impossible not to. Hopefully it's good news soon! Will you test or wait? @RedRobyn2021 x

@xmas13 hello, I think the lines are clear and easy to see. Congratulations x

@ThelastRolo20 How are you doing? Are you feeling OK so far? I can't remember if you said you would book an early scan? x

OP posts:
GeorgeR28 · 23/12/2023 08:53

@Ladyinpink1 i didn’t have that the first time though so could that happen this time? I’m so scared to even get my hopes up 😪 It’s so frustrating- the one month everything timings wise was perfect and I was doing my best to stay calm! No I think I’m just going to wait you know, as hard as it is. Thankyou for replying, how are you doing x

ThelastRolo20 · 23/12/2023 09:30

@Ladyinpink1 hey, I'm doing okay. About 5.5 weeks now with just tiredness and sore boobs! I am going to have a early scan at 9.5 weeks which is around when the last baby passed. It's so hard to get excited about this pregnancy - keep having weird dreams about the miscarriage/ other people announcing pregnancies!

Ladyinpink1 · 23/12/2023 09:51

@GeorgeR28 I have never had that either, but I have heard of people getting it. Maybe just try to imagine it's random spotting, and then if it's good news it will be a lovely surprise...even as I'm typing this I know that is super difficult to do, and although being dissapointed is awful each cycle, I still think keeping our hopes up is good.
I am ok thank you, I am hopeful this cycle, it's a year this week since my first miscarriage, so I think going into a new year, I feel due some good news, statistically at least. lol. x

@ThelastRolo20 That is a good time for an early scan. And they are good symptoms for this stage.... I'm sure you are counting down the days, but with the holidays and being busy, I hope the time goes in fast for you.
I'm sorry the dreams have been disturbing but I believe crazy dreams are a good sign too, lots of high levels of hormones x

Urgh letter just through the door that they have cancelled my RMC consultant appointment next month... with nothing to say when it will be rebooked 😔

moosey89 · 23/12/2023 13:05

@Vic231 ugh that is so frustrating for you 😔

I'm currently 5dpo, not feeling lucky this month but at least from today to the 27th should be a good distraction!

xmas13 · 23/12/2023 13:35

Thanks everyone, I took another test this morning and it seems lighter again, but none of them are FMU, as I use the toilet at least 4x a night anyway, I tried to hold last night but I went about 4.30am and then I tested at 7am, not sure if that's why they're so light, I'm due on Tuesday, but I don't have much hope. X

GeorgeR28 · 23/12/2023 21:34

@Ladyinpink1 ive had absolutely nothing today which is a bit strange. I still feel in my gut it’s AF showing up early to ruin Christmas 😪 I’m so sorry to hear it’s been a year, I really
hope you get some good news soon!
Don’t suppose you or anyone else knows the average time for ttc? I still worry every month I’m not pregnant that since my MC & surgeries there’s something wrong stopping me from getting pregnant now as it was so easy first time and it’s been 3 cycles so far 😩

Vic231 · 23/12/2023 21:39

Thanks @moosey89 - so frustrating! It had already been cancelled once already! But I'm the same as you - lovely distractions now until test time, I have my fingers crossed for you!

samilicious · 23/12/2023 21:50

@GeorgeR28 oh it's so crap when things start acting up :( especially when everything has been so consistent. Hope you get an answer sooner rather than later to help ease the stress of it all

@Ladyinpink1 I never knew hormones were linked to weird dreams! I keep having dreams about a horrible ex whenever I'm ovulating like I'm desperate to find him again 😂 what does that mean?!

HerbaceousPerennial · 24/12/2023 09:15

@GeorgeR28 this is anecdotal but the range amongst my friends has been 1 month to 18months, and everything in between. None of them had anything wrong from a medical perspective, it just seems to be luck of the draw as to how quickly they fell pregnant. I keep telling myself they all got there in the end but the wait is very hard.

@Ladyinpink1 @ThelastRolo20 @samilicious with you on the mad hormone dreams! It’s usually a sure sign with me that something big is happening hormonally. Not ovulation though which would be most helpful.

I’ve progressed from spotting to full bleeding. Hoping this is the equivalent of my reproductive system turning itself off and on again - goodness knows what’s going on now but I’m beyond caring frankly. Had a large gin last night and will worry about it all in the New Year 😂

moosey89 · 24/12/2023 09:25

@GeorgeR28 how quickly did you fall pregnant with the one you lost? It's a bit of a myth when they say "you're more fertile for the few months after loss" so please try to not let it get you down. However having said this I'm on cycle 5 myself post loss and it devastates me so I understand how you're feeling, just try not to assume anything is wrong. It's totally normal for it to take another year to conceive again unfortunately xx

GeorgeR28 · 24/12/2023 09:44

@samilicious it’s just typical isn’t it! Thankyou so much x

@HerbaceousPerennial thankyou for that! It’s so difficult isn’t it, especially after being pregnant you’re just like my body did it before why can’t it do it again now!

@moosey89 it was the first month trying so I was completely shocked as I’d only just come off the pill. Yes that’s what I’ve been told over and over and I’m thinking well I’m living proof that im
not more fertile if anything I’m the opposite! It’s a gut wrenching feeling isn’t it, it’s so hard to not let your whole world revolve around it. Thankyou for replying, I hope you’re doing okay xx

samilicious · 24/12/2023 09:46

@HerbaceousPerennial great attitude! I'm channelling this vibe for Boxing Day when I'm due.

@Ladyinpink1 fingers crossed for good news, hopeful is a great place to be - you're right, the stats are on your side. Plus karma must be on your side because you're so lovely and supportive to everyone on here 🥰

Forgot how many pregnancy announcements there are this time of year foolishly. Lots of second babies who's first are the same age and younger as my DD as well :( happy for them but hard as this year we told everyone on Xmas eve at the same pub we're going tonight. Why did I do this to myself 😅 can't even get too merry as driving and looking after DD. Will have a nice champers when we're home and she's in bed though 👌🏻 clinging on to new year fresh start vibes

HerbaceousPerennial · 24/12/2023 10:47

@GeorgeR28 yeah it’s really frustrating. I’d echo @moosey89, there’s very little scientific evidence for enhanced fertility after miscarriage - and as far as I can find no sound evidence it’s causal. My theory is that if there’s a higher live birth rate for women shortly after miscarriage it is because we’re all working so much harder at actually conceiving and are doing our best to ensure a healthy pregnancy. So you’d expect more babies than under normal circumstances. That’s obviously just me trying to rationalise things but I find it comforting and takes the pressure off a bit.

@samilicious I will raise a glass to you this evening! Think we deserve it. Two of my friends are 3 and 4 weeks respectively behind where I should be, so they’re having their 20 week scans about now and I am obviously not. Fingers crossed for next year

Wise0wl · 24/12/2023 15:21

Just survived a weekend of family pre-Christmas celebrations with multiple pregnant family members (including one with the same due date as our first loss) and wanted to take a moment to come on here and say thank you all so much for your support over the past few difficult months, and I’ll be back TTC next year. Wishing you all a wonderful Christmas and I’m hopeful for all of us that 2024 brings us all lots of luck! X

Vic231 · 24/12/2023 15:25

@Wise0wl we've all got this! And a wonderful support group going into the new year supporting each other. I'm glad you got through the weekend ♥️ xx

Ladyinpink1 · 24/12/2023 20:20

@GeorgeR28 That is so frustrating for you, any change today? I posted on the previous post about this and I think someone found it helpful about worrying how long it will take to conceive... so out of 4 times, twice we conceived straight away, twice took 5 months and now this time I am on cycle 4 with no bfp yet. So I understand when it's happened right away before then when that doesnt happen the next time it can feel like something is wrong but it's just chance each time and I bet it will happen for you very soon x

@HerbaceousPerennial I'm sorry, I hope that this resets your body as you said and the new year brings great news for you. Oooh a gin sounds lovely x

How anoying! And even more so that they haven't given you a further date @Vic231 x

@samilicious that was a nice comment thank you, it's a great thread having people that understand and we are able to say anything to that we couldn't in real life is invaluable. Enjoy your night out and your bubbly x

Hope everyone else is OK x

Ladyinpink1 · 24/12/2023 21:47

@Wise0wl I'm sure that was really really tough for you especially with the same dates and everything being so raw still. I hope you get plenty of rest over the holidays ready for a fresh start next year 💜 x

GeorgeR28 · 24/12/2023 22:22

@Ladyinpink1 yesterday I had nothing and this morning again I had the tiniest bit and then nothing all day so very strange. I do get this normally the day before my period but this is still a week early. When you put it like that it does make me feel a lot better, I think I’ve put so much pressure on myself it’s probably hindering me to a degree. I go through about 50 emotions a day with it! Thankyou so much, hope you’re doing okay! X

samilicious · 26/12/2023 09:58

@HerbaceousPerennial 🥂🥂🥂🥰
Hope you had a lovely Christmas Day

@Wise0wl well done on surviving that, that's a lot! Hope you had a lovely Christmas Day after getting through that 🥰

@Vic231 yes Vic! We've got this. So lovely to have found you all ♥️ all feels a little less lonely and scary knowing you're not alone

@GeorgeR28 hope everything makes sense soon. I started spotting yesterday - similar timeline to your usual one. Tested first think Xmas morning as I felt a bit sicky (way too early for that but yknow) then wished I hadn't. Spotted later now stopped again but AF deffo on her way. All the energy into the new year!

samilicious · 26/12/2023 10:00

Ladies who use CB - do you use the purple or the pink one?

The pink one is on offer in boots atm so might get it ready

Hope you're having a lovely Boxing Day!
