@CluelessInLondon @Vic231 how are you two getting on? Im hitting the part in the 2WW where my mood is getting slowly worse with the impending possibility of a negative test 😪

Bugdem123 · 21/12/2023 20:48

@SnookyPook that's really lovely news 🩷 I'm so glad, I'll keep everything crossed that everything keeps progressing as it should.

@13lucy I'm the same, it's so all consuming and exhausting. I hope you get your BBT rise tomorrow

I hope you're all doing okay this week and have some lovely Christmas plans. Good luck to all those in the TWW, I hope we get some Christmas and New Year BFP's.

I'm CD4 today so a little bit to go for anything for me. I met my friend's baby yesterday. She's 9 days old and it was so lovely to meet her. My friend knew about my loss and I just held her whilst my friend cuddled me and we had a cry together. That makes it sounds horrendous but it was actually a really lovely moment. Definitely reminded me how desperate I am for one of my own.

Oxalis00 · 21/12/2023 21:10

Wonderful news @SnookyPook - really pleased you’ve been able to find some reassurance and relief. I was thinking of you today. Strange, since we’ve never met, but it’s been a long journey this year and I feel so invested!

Bali200 · 21/12/2023 21:29

That’s wonderful news@SnookyPook, I’m so very pleased for you that things seem to be progressing, and it definitely makes sense with a later ovulation to be measuring behind where you thought. Will you have another scan before the dating scan? X

CluelessInLondon · 21/12/2023 22:02

Hi everyone, been keeping an eye on all your posts this week but having a crazy week at work so haven't had time to post anything myself!

@13lucy Good news on the ovulation! And kudos to you for managing SMEP this month, especially with not being certain when O-day was coming - I have a regular cycle and I haven't got the energy for SMEP. 😂

@SnookyPook What a lovely update, that's so great to hear and I'm glad you're feeling reassured - you can go into Christmas with lots of hope for the new year. ❤

@samilicious Sorry to hear that you're thinking you might be out for this month - fingers crossed that AF doesn't arrive, and if she does then I hope you have loads of Christmas treats to cheer yourself up.

@GeorgeR28 Thanks for checking in! I'm 6DPO now, time is passing much quicker than last month with Christmas prep and lots going on at work. Think it was also a struggle last month because it was my first cycle trying after my MC so I'm a bit more relaxed now. Haven't really been feeling that hopeful for this month but we'll see! Have you decided when you're going to test, or just waiting for AF?

@Bugdem123 I'm so pleased you got to see your friend's baby as you were so worried about how you would feel and react - and you are really strong for taking such a big step. Sounds like it had a real healing effect on you.💕

I hope everyone else is doing okay wherever you are in your cycles.

samilicious · 21/12/2023 22:30

@Bugdem123 such a sad but heartwarming moment ♥️ sounds like there's a lot of love in that friendship

@SnookyPook such lovely news! Totally makes sense with ovulating later.

@CluelessInLondon oh no sorry to hear work's been busy! Hopefully winding down now for Xmas break? I'm with you on SMEP, good on anyone with enough steam for that. I'm sure I'll be trying it soon after a few more cycles of desperation

SnookyPook · 21/12/2023 22:30

Thanks so much everyone! Having the support here had been invaluable. Hoping for BFPs all round in the New Year!!

@Bali200 because of my history they've kindly offered me a follow-up scan in 3 weeks time. I'll be very nervous but also glad I don't have to wait until 12-14 weeks to see how it's going. How are you getting on?

@Bugdem123 aw what you describe is exactly how it went when I met my best friends little boy back in June. I held him and she held me and we cried. It was quite healing and I've enjoyed being able to get snuggles with him as the year has gone on. These things are bittersweet but can be healing in their own way. 💕

GeorgeR28 · 21/12/2023 22:52

@CluelessInLondon im 6dpo today too! I’m glad you’re feeling more relaxed! Usually I test early but I just know a negative test will upset me too much and I don’t want that on Christmas for me or anyone else… so I’m going to try and be strong and avoid testing completely! What about you?

Ladyinpink1 · 22/12/2023 07:37

@13lucy Did your temps rise again? That sounds like you are really well covered. I got my peak this morning, cd13 so should ovulate tomorrow, trying for dtd the 3 days also. x

Very happy to read your update @SnookyPook and being further on than 2 other times this year is such a good milestone. I hope you are still feeling good x

That's great things are all normal with your tests, @Vic231 it gives a little extra reasurrance for carrying on ttc. And that's great about the progesterone from bfp, I have the same and have heard good things about it. Testing then is a good plan for you, i hope the rest of the tww comes in fast for you. I am cd13 today, got my peak first thing so legs up atm (one of the only times I get peace to reply to messages 😂) x

@Bugdem123 That was lovely and a milestone to hold a newborn with how past experiences can make you feel. I get a feeling everytime I see a newborn... i wouldnt say it's a bad feeling, maybe more a longing if you know what i mean. x

I'm sorry you feel AF is on it's way. I hope it's not. How are you feeling today? @samilicious x

@Bugdem123 glad you got to meet your friend’s baby and found it positive. It is hard but lovely, a sort of release I found. @Ladyinpink1 a longing is right. On one of my worst days post miscarriage I went round to a friend’s and she just let me hold her baby. I was very grateful that she understood. Good friends have got me through this!

@GeorgeR28 I’ve deliberately bought ‘normal’ tests this time as opposed to the early detection ones on the basis then if I get a positive it’s a fairly certain (in my head anyway). I’m also rationing myself but we’ll see how long that lasts…

Good luck to all those ovulating 🤞

GeorgeR28 · 22/12/2023 08:40

@HerbaceousPerennial thats exactly the same as me! So I know there’s no use in testing early anyway. When are you due to test?

samilicious · 22/12/2023 09:06

@Ladyinpink1 thank you ♥️ feel a bit less down about it today. AF due Boxing Day. Just hope it doesn't come Xmas day and make me extra miserable confirming it 🥲 how are you doing?

Good luck to everyone ovulating! With the statistics surely we'll have one bfp in our little group

HerbaceousPerennial · 22/12/2023 14:58

@GeorgeR28 I actually tested this morning (negative which I expected). It’s a bit weird for me because I don’t have regular cycles, so it’s all a stab in the dark really. So I’m trying to limit myself to a max one a week. I also did an ovulation test this morning - it did say peak but I am 99% sure that’s not true and it’s the PCOS messing it up. It would be a massive coincidence otherwise. So I’ve ordered some less sensitive ovulation tests too and we’ll see if I can get some sort of handle on this or if I’ll have to carry on with the wishful thinking method.

GeorgeR28 · 22/12/2023 17:40

Guys I’m feeling so worried and panicked. I’m 7dpo.. always been regular and ovulated the same time. I’m 7dpo today, everything has been fine and had some dark brown spotting 😪 I always normally spot before my period but obviously this is way too early. I’ve literally just had my hormones tested and everything is normal… I’ve never had spotting this early on 😪 does anyone have any insight?

xmas13 · 22/12/2023 17:53

Can I please join this thread? I'm currently 11/12dpo and just got these tests yesterday and today, I've had 3 MC this year alone and panicking because I don't think the lines are strong enough

CD1 ttc after loss carry on thread #2
RedRobyn2021 · 22/12/2023 18:07

My period is due around the 28th I was using ovulation tests after my miscarriage in august but I think it made me feel more anxious so I decided to stop. So I don't actually know if/when I ovulated.

I am so hopeful this month as I had a normal period last month and really am hoping we have done it this month.

The only symptom I remember having this early on with DD was sore boobs, but I still bf my DD once a day so wondering if this would effect that?

A friend told me she's pregnant the other week and I am dreading watching her get bigger whilst we struggle

HerbaceousPerennial · 22/12/2023 19:58

Ah @GeorgeR28 I hope you’re feeling a little calmer now. Cycles can be weird for quite a while after a miscarriage so not necessarily anything to worry about. Also I spotted all the way through first trimester with my son - although it can be a sign of something amiss it can be to do with the cervix changing etc too

HerbaceousPerennial · 22/12/2023 20:02

@xmas13 hello! That sounds really difficult, what a horrible year you’ve had. I’ve no idea about the lines I’m afraid, I only found out about my pregnancies a bit further along. Fingers crossed for you

samilicious · 22/12/2023 20:20

@GeorgeR28 could it be implantation do you think?

@RedRobyn2021 I had sore boobs both times I was pregnant before breastfeeding but didn't get sore boobs when I was breastfeeding and pregnant last time. Symptoms are different each pregnancy too I think, just to mess with our heads that bit more 🤪

GeorgeR28 · 22/12/2023 20:20

@HerbaceousPerennial im so confused this is 4 cycles since my hysteroscopy and everything has been normal since 😪 im so sick of bad news every month

GeorgeR28 · 22/12/2023 20:22

@samilicious can that happen at 7dpo? I thought it was later 😪

ThelastRolo20 · 22/12/2023 20:24

@GeorgeR28 why our bodies decide to throw us random curve balls when it's already a difficult time I'll never know! I spotted once (very rare for me) around the time I had COVID so I know that messed mine up. Any recent sex could irritate the cervix? 😞 It's a minefield and I wish I could give you the answer - hopefully it isn't much and disappears soon

@xmas13 I think those lines look absolutely fine for 11/12 DPO but I understand the anxiety - best thing to do is step away from the tests. I felt much better after doing so

samilicious · 22/12/2023 20:26

@GeorgeR28 yeah it says 7-10 days everywhere online. Don't want to get your hopes up because I know the TWW is like pure torture with weird symptoms but it definitely could be. I've had such weird periods since my TFMR and had scans to check but everything came back normal. Fingers crossed it's some positive news for you 🤞🏻

@xmas13 so sorry for all your losses 😔 mine was less strong than that with DD who was a healthy pregnancy at that many DPO, so hopefully nothing to worry about ♥️

GeorgeR28 · 22/12/2023 20:31

@ThelastRolo20 i know right 😪 this cycle everything has been going well also, ovulated bang on time, my temps have been good, no AF symptoms and then this happens. No I haven’t had sex for about 5 days now so definitely not that. I hope it does too, sick of getting my hopes up all the time
