TTC after ectopic/after loss/older age etc ALL WELCOME 🙂

Hello,

Would anyone like to join a thread for TTC after ectopic/miscarriage, or when facing other challenges eg age, PCOS etc? DP and I have just decided to try again for no2, and I'm going to come off the pill. It would be nice to have some buddies to share experiences and support each other 🙂

About me:

Pregnancy 1: conceived first cycle age 35, healthy pregnancy, DS born summer 2021 (now age 2)

Pregnancy 2: conceived first cycle age 37, ectopic, surgery November 2022

My plan is to eat well, exercise, cut out alcohol, and generally look after myself.

Because I got pregnant quickly both times, I'm hoping our chances are still good...no idea how only having the one fallopian tube is going to affect things 😬

I think I'll do OPKs but not sure about temping yet.

Those who have had a MC/MMC, how long did it take for you to conceive again? I don’t want to seem like I’m replacing this baby but I just want something to focus on now

@MrsB2019x both times for me it was the second cycle after MMC I conceived again. We didn't try in the immediate aftermath for different reasons, so waited for after first period. First time resulted in beautiful DS. Second time is this early pregnancy I have now, so I'm yet to know how this turns out. Glad you're home, sending love.

Good luck for tomorrow @Nic2908! No need to apologise lovey I’m still just as happy for Yellow as I always have been. I’m doing okay thank you, very up and down emotionally but I’m okay. Thanks for checking in :)

@Nic2908 it's definitely nice to be able to talk to people about it now. I had my blood results back yesterday (absolutely fine, 1:5000 for all three) so that feels like the last little hurdle done.

What time is your scan?

all went well today ladies. There was a heartbeat and measuring exactly right at 8+4. In really happy but I thought I would feel better than what I do. I feel more worried , as if now there is something to lose all over again. I’m going to be kept busy though. I have my nipt booked for in two weeks, my 12 week for two weeks after that and then a scan at 14 and 16 weeks. So hopefully the next 8 weeks will be a little quicker. That’s for all your well wishes.

@Nic2908 oh lovely, this is good news to hear. I totally understand your anxiety. Sounds like your plan to take it all week by week is a very good one!

How's everyone doing? I'm getting so impatient waiting for either ovulation/period. So I'm now on day 24 of my cycle. (Day 1 being surgery for my MMC). After two weeks I had a very faint line on pregnancy tests and lh was positive but I'm assuming it was the HCG. I took another pregnancy test earlier this week (so almost at 3 weeks) which was negative and been testing LH since then which is all negative. I keep wondering if I could have missed ovulation? Sorry tmi but I've had no ewcm or much cm at all actually so I can't imagine I have ovulated as that's usually a tell tale sign for me. I just want to either get my period or see a positive ovulation test! Can anyone help? It's driving me mad. I think I'd rather just get my period so that we can start afresh.

@jellyfish2 sorry,I have no advice, haven't been through anything similar. Fingers crossed you get one or the other soon.

Hey @jellyfish2 I felt like this too, last cycle was my first post MMC (surgery). I ended up ovulating on CD31, I missed the LH surge on OPKs completely but confirmed ovulation with temping. I hope you feel clearer soon. I think it can take a while for the body to reset itself. I was also testing the hcg out and I don’t think I ovulated until I had a proper complete negative pregnancy test about 3.5 weeks after surgery.

@CurlyWurly1991 did your cramps last for a few days? I'm on day 4 of cramping on and off but opks still negative. I'll keep doing them in hope that I do ovulate. I've been Nightshift so not been able to dtd but will be able to do so tomorrow so hopefully I do ovulate in the coming days.
