Hello,

Would anyone like to join a thread for TTC after ectopic/miscarriage, or when facing other challenges eg age, PCOS etc? DP and I have just decided to try again for no2, and I'm going to come off the pill. It would be nice to have some buddies to share experiences and support each other 🙂

About me:

Pregnancy 1: conceived first cycle age 35, healthy pregnancy, DS born summer 2021 (now age 2)

Pregnancy 2: conceived first cycle age 37, ectopic, surgery November 2022

My plan is to eat well, exercise, cut out alcohol, and generally look after myself.

Because I got pregnant quickly both times, I'm hoping our chances are still good...no idea how only having the one fallopian tube is going to affect things 😬

I think I'll do OPKs but not sure about temping yet.

Would love to hear from others!

Hi can I join too please!
I'm 35 and have been TTC for about 9 months. Had an early miscarriage the first cycle then nothing til last month where I had another loss at 5-6 weeks.

It's hard not to feel absolutely gutted. My little boy is 6 and was a first time lucky pregnancy. I didn't expect to be so lucky again but to keep seeing negative tests, or to watch the positives get fainter and disappear is really rubbish. AF due tomorrow and I'm testing negative so looks like another month gone 😭

Hey has anyone else had different TWW symptoms following a MC? I’m about 8dpo and have had a banging headache for the last couple of days and light spotting since 6dpo. Under no illusions that I’m pregnant as only dtd onxe and have had AF cramps. The headache is unusual for me and usually don’t spot until closer to AF. I temp so I’m fairly sure of my ovulation date. Anyone experienced something similar?

MrsB2019x · 17/02/2024 13:18

How’s everyone doing? 🧡

Bumblesbee84 · 17/02/2024 15:34

@MrsB2019x how are you doing? Hope everything still progressing well for you?
I've been having a break from MN for a little while. Hopefully some positive news from me, I'm 11dpo today and got a faint positive on IC yesterday and bfp 1-2 weeks on digital today. This will be my 5th pregnancy (with one gorgeous DS to show for them), I'm feeling fairly terrified overall. I'm not even sure about early scans as don't think I can face them again after MMC last time. I know I can only go one day at a time so will see how I feel in a few weeks if pregnancy continues.

Bumblesbee84 · 17/02/2024 15:36

@CurlyWurly1991 funnily enough I've actually had awful headaches around 8 and 9dpo this cycle. How are you getting on?

MrsB2019x · 17/02/2024 15:53

Tentative congratulations @Bumblesbee84 🩷 are you under any care for multiple miscarriages? Hopefully someone will be able to help you. Praying this little one sticks!
I’m doing okay thank you, 11+3 today and have my dating scan next Thursday. Feeling very un-pregnant at the moment which is making me feel a bit anxious but trying to be rational!

Bumblesbee84 · 17/02/2024 16:00

@MrsB2019x no I'm not sadly, my GP tried to refer to MC clinic at local hospital but as I've not had 3 losses in a row they wouldn't accept the referral. My order has been blighted ovum, DS, spontaneous MC and then MMC. GP was supportive and has done some blood tests. She seemed to think it's probably just bad luck. I hope she's right and my bad luck has ended!
Oh wow over 11 weeks, that seems to have gone by quickly! Although bet it doesn't feel like that for you?! Wow, I wish you so much luck for your scan next week, so hard to wait for these things I know. Everything crossed!!

CurlyWurly1991 · 17/02/2024 17:32

@MrsB2019x Doing ok thanks, been feeling off for a week or so… hopefully for a good reason. How are you doing?

@Bumblesbee84 ah congratulations!! I hope I am joining you as got a very faint bfp this morning at 10dpo. The headaches and stop/start spotting have been the clues… this is my first cycle post MMC (around 8 weeks) so I am surprised and praying it sticks. Haven’t had a period in between.
Hopefully you won’t need that referral, it sounds like it has been a run of bad luck. Fingers crossed this baby is your rainbow xx

jellyfish2 · 17/02/2024 17:55

Hi everyone I've been reading all the updates and it's exciting to see so many BFPs!
I recognise some of the names from other threads.
A bit about me..I'm almost 36, have a DC who is 2. He was conceived easily and no issues. Fell pregnant in November first cycle of trying but sadly found out at my 12 week scan last week that baby had no hb and stopped growing at 8 weeks. We are devastated but trying to be positive and hope we can have a successful pregnancy next time.
I stupidly tested and still showing pregnant but it's only been 9 days since I had surgery. Just wanting it to be negative as I'd like TTC quickly (rightly or wrongly I'm not sure but I just feel like I want to be pregnant asap, maybe part of the grieving process for me.)

MrsB2019x · 17/02/2024 18:44

@Bumblesbee84 That’s so frustrating, hopefully though you won’t need it and this little bean will be sticky! I really do have everything crossed for you

Tentative congratulations to you too @CurlyWurly1991 !

Love that there have been so many BFPs on this thread 😍

MrsB2019x · 17/02/2024 18:44

So sorry for your loss @jellyfish2 💙

Bumblesbee84 · 17/02/2024 19:23

@CurlyWurly1991 thanks lovely, and everything crossed for you with this little bean. The thought of facing another few weeks of the unknown is very hard, but we can only take it a day at a time right.
@jellyfish2 so sorry for your loss. It's so sad. I think lots of us have felt like that and just wanted to be pregnant again. Wish you all the luck with your journey. After my latest MMC at 10 weeks it took 5 weeks for completely negative test (just before AF started, so don't worry if it takes a while.

jellyfish2 · 17/02/2024 19:44

Thank you @Bumblesbee84. 5 weeks seems such a long time, so you must've ovulated even with hgc in your system? I think I'll keep an eye on ovulation. I was told to phone if pregnancy test is still positive in 3 weeks but they were pretty sure they got everything out.

Absolutely know you you feel - had exactly the same thing in January and had a D&C.
My home HCG were pretty much negative after about 10days and seems like I ovulated day 22 (usually day 17-ish).
I was/am completely desperate to get pregnant again and have back what we had.
Doesn't seem like it happened this month - I'm 10dpo and BFNs (perhaps mostly due to bad timing and stress - I don't think I've gone a day without crying 😔).
But almost glad to get a proper period in before TTC again and being in a better frame of mind.

It's the worst advice, but it takes time.
X

jellyfish2 · 17/02/2024 20:05

@123456789ss I'm so sorry you've recently gone through it too, it's awful. I feel like if I miraculously get pregnant soon then it's meant to be, I'll see how it goes. I hope you get your BFP soon x

Bumblesbee84 · 17/02/2024 20:21

@jellyfish2 it does sound like a long time, but looking back on it now the time did just pass. I called epu after 3 weeks as I was still positive (but faint). As it was Christmas they couldn't get me in for a scan to check everything out, so they told me to call back in a week if still positive. By that point it was so so faint I didn't call back and then AF turned up a week later anyway. Yep I assume I ovulated, but I spotted for virtually the whole 5 weeks after MMC so not able to DTD. Like @123456789ss said though, I think I was in a better mind set to wait a cycle. But do what feels right for you. I intended to straight away, just couldn't because of the spotting.

jellyfish2 · 17/02/2024 20:28

@Bumblesbee84 I only spotted for a couple of days. We haven't dtd yet though,I'd rather wait until my test is faint just incase so that I'll know if it's a new pregnancy eventually. Thanks x

Room4onemore · 18/02/2024 17:03

Hi everyone l, I should have had my depo jab on Friday but I didn’t have it so it’s just a waiting game now for my period to come. My ovulation tests came this morning so I’m all ready lol

YellowZ · 19/02/2024 07:41

Hey everyone! Sorry been a bit quiet. Slightly nervous about the scan on Thurs I guess!

That's lovely news @Bumblesbee84 hope you're feeling OK. Keeping my fingers crossed for you.

How are you doing @Nic2908 ?

Welcome @jellyfish2 and @123456789ss sorry to hear what you've been through

@MrsB2019x I'm not feeling pregnant either! I just keep reminding myself it's much more likely to be OK than not.

@Room4onemore hope it doesn't take long for your periods to come back 🙂

@YellowZ thanks. You've done so well to get this far, I can imagine you must be feeling anxious. I will be sending all the positive vibes to the universe for your and @MrsB2019x scans on Thursday and really hope they go well.
@CurlyWurly1991 how are you doing? Hopeyou're feeling ok. My tests seem to be progressing well, tomorrow is AF due date so will stop testing then! I'm hoping to get an early scan through a local fertility clinic. We had some issues with the nhs accepting our previous private scan that showed MMC because they didn't know the company name (although I thought ultrasound direct was quite well known) and don't want to be in that position again.

CurlyWurly1991 · 19/02/2024 09:55

Hi @Bumblesbee84 glad to hear you are seeing progress with the tests! Congratulations xx
I’m feeling in limbo with these very faint lines. I did another yesterday afternoon which was again extremely faint although more visible than the line at 10dpo. I am now stopping myself from testing and waiting for AF, also due tomorrow. I only have a few pregnancy tests left and don’t want to buy more as I’m too tight !! 😆
I totally know what you mean about the private scans. The EPAU sonographer was very dismissive about mine too (at 8 weeks, diagnosed the MMC). I wasn’t very happy with the way it was handled by the private scan either.
I hope your fertility clinic can help out and make the process easier. Pregnancy after miscarriage is going to be a very different experience but women get through it,
somehow.

Nic2908 · 19/02/2024 21:33

@YellowZ thank you for thinking of me. I’m doing ok, 7+2 today. My scan at epu is not until next Tuesday. The wait is so hard. Mot long now until your scan and yours @MrsB2019x how are you both feeling?

SunshineAndRainbows6 · 20/02/2024 14:30

Hey ladies 👋🏼 Wondered if I could join 🙏🏼 Will be spending this evening after work catching up on the thread as a whole ✨

Background info on me; I'm 29 trying for our second baby, we have a son who will soon be turning 5.

I had a MMC in October 23 which resulted in a D&C procedure 🌈

I then fell pregnant at the beginning on this year which turned out to be a ruptured ectopic which resulted in emergency surgery and the removal of my right tube 😞🌈

Fast forward to today and I am currently on cycle day 2 of our first month back trying again 🙏🏼 I am soooo bloody nervous that things will end badly again, but have got to try and stay positive... here's to hoping we get our triple rainbow 🌈 baby in the near future 🙏🏼

Sending love to all you ladies who have suffered a loss... 💕

MrsB2019x · 20/02/2024 19:48

Welcome @SunshineAndRainbows6 what a journey you have been on 😢 you’re in good company here though as we’ve all had some sort of loss. Got everything crossed for your sticky rainbow baby! Xx

MrsB2019x · 20/02/2024 19:50

Been having on and off bleeding since yesterday morning, it’s mostly pink/brown CM but have had the odd fresh bright red spots too. It’s not loads but it’s just taking my head to the worst place. Time is dragging until the scan on Thursday, I just want to know where we stand 😔
