Hi 🙋‍♀️, just as the title says, I am now on cd1 of my first cycle after a loss at 11+4 (stopped growing just after a scan showing strong heartbeat at 8 -9w)

Feeling nervous but positive about a new cycle ...but finding it hard to think of anything else other than ttc 🙂

Happy for some company to obsess with over these next weeks x

Sending lots of love @CluelessInLondon , I completely understand how this time of year makes it even harder. Take some time for yourself xx

After feeling pretty unwell and with some bad cramping EPU moved my follow up scan to today, instead of Friday. Very thankful things are looking ok but they also found a subchorionic haematoma and said I should have been prescribed progesterone two weeks ago (at my first scan when I did ask about it because of the Tommy’s advice… 🤷‍♀️) so am glad to have that now.

Sending lots of luck for those of you in the tww xx

@Haylsttc the easy at home showed a peak straight away - the cheap ones are still not quite there but I'm fairly confident today is the one!

Bugdem123 · 29/11/2023 17:28

@ThelastRolo20 thats good news! I like the easy@home ones although tbf I've never used any others.

I'm in the waiting before the fertile window phase and it's dragging on. I just want to get at it haha.

ThelastRolo20 · 29/11/2023 17:29

@Bugdem123 I know what you mean! So much waiting 😂 what cycle day are you at the moment? X

Bugdem123 · 29/11/2023 17:36

I'm CD9 today and usually ovulate about CD16 still a few days to go. Going to start using the OPKs and digital OPKs tomorrow, mostly for something to do haha.

graceinc22 · 29/11/2023 18:05

I’m 11dpo today, and my progesterone test at the fertility clinic confirmed I ovulated, so yay! Waiting until Saturday morning to test… 🤞

graceinc22 · 29/11/2023 18:06

@Wise0wl great to hear things are looking good on the scan and you’ve now got the progesterone!

graceinc22 · 29/11/2023 18:08

@CluelessInLondon totally get it. I guess I feel like becoming pregnant again won’t take away the loss of our first baby, nothing will ever take that away, but it would be such a blessing and so uplifting. And then when that doesn’t happen, you’re left with the more undiluted sense of loss. Hugs ❤️

ThelastRolo20 · 29/11/2023 18:08

@Bugdem123 I know what you mean about having something to do 😂 I'm going to use easy at home going forward for sure. @graceinc22 that's great news about ovulation. Fingers crossed for you on Saturday 🤞🏻🤞🏻

Wise0wl · 29/11/2023 19:18

Thanks @graceinc22 - really great news about your ovulation, 🤞🤞 for Saturday! X

Hey everyone. I had a miscarriage back in June, I was sent back and fourth from the hospital for months despite heavy bleeding and clotting constantly, they eventually gave me a D&C but a week later the bleeding and clotting started again even heavier, I was bleeding through all my clothes and it was honestly the worst time of my life, most days I didn’t want to be here anymore because I saw no end to it. I had to go private to have surgery and I did indeed still have retained products which was causing the heavy bleeding for 5 months even after my D&C. So this is technically only my second cycle since as this whole time my body has thought I was still pregnant up until my surgery.
im currently 9dpo and really finding my intrusive thoughts coming back and the dread of not being pregnant if my period turns up next week.
im not really posting to ask any questions or anything, just saw this thread and wanted to join in.
I hope everyone is doing okay, if anyone has any tips of coping with negative pregnancy tests if we don’t get lucky this time I’d really appreciate it 🤍

Haylsttc · 29/11/2023 20:34

@ThelastRolo20 those tests look a lot better, glad to see you got your peak!

@Wise0wl pleased to hear everything is going well, bet that was a huge relief ❤️

@graceinc22 ah that’s amazing the test confirmed you ovulated 🎉

@GeorgeR28 welcome to the thread, I’m so sorry to hear about your loss and the experience you had following, sending you lots of love! We’re all here to support each other on this thread ❤️‍🩹 My missed miscarriage was also in June. I really wish I had advice on the negative tests but all I can say is time has been a healer for me. Each cycle I’ve still been sad I’m not pregnant but I just try to be as positive as possible and know it will be our turn again soon ❤️

Ladyinpink1 · 29/11/2023 20:36

Woohoo! Great lines @ThelastRolo20 I'm sure you are relieved to see them. Are you smepping (is this even a word 🤣) still this cycle? We are meant to do our last attempt tonight after yesterday being break day but dh isn't home from work yet so not sure we are going to make it. Do you think that last day really matters? x

That's great to have positive news @graceinc22 x

@GeorgeR28 That sounds like a super traumatic and exhausting time, I am really sorry for your loss as well as what you have went through. If your AF does turn up, you will get good support on this thread, all of us have had that awful cycle where it really hits hard. The other thing I find helpful is (and maybe this only works for me) but I research different vitamins/foods etc to keep busy then start something new to help things along (brazil nuts was one of those and also new different vitamins) and that makes me feel more positive for the next cycle and like I am doing something rather than just waiting. x

@Haylsttc thankyou so much I really appreciate it ❤️ I’m so sorry to hear you went through that too, it really is the most horrendous thing in the world. Lots of love back to you!
I am better as a whole I’d say, it’s this time last month and again now I start to really struggle mentally at the thought of another negative and my period coming.
is it normal to think somethings wrong with you and you’ll never get pregnant again, I think this and fear it every single day

ThelastRolo20 · 29/11/2023 20:42

@Ladyinpink1 no we gave up on that, to much effort 😂 I think if you've gone up to break day you're fine! So is today ovulation day for you? Can't quite remember SMEP timings

@GeorgeR28 so sorry for your loss, you had such a difficult journey but the group here are fab, I hope you find some comfort here xx

Bugdem123 · 29/11/2023 20:59

@GeorgeR28 I'm so sorry for your loss and to read how terrible a time of it you had. I don't know if it's normal worry about that but I do every day as well and have became a bit fixated on it. Hopefully it eases soon for us x

GeorgeR28 · 29/11/2023 21:01

@ThelastRolo20 thankyou so much ❤️ good luck on your journey! I’m glad I joined the thread! Xx

GeorgeR28 · 29/11/2023 21:02

@Bugdem123 im so sorry to hear you think that too it is so awful 😞 at least we aren’t alone in this. Thankyou for replying ❤️

Haylsttc · 29/11/2023 21:22

@Ladyinpink1 smepping made me giggle 😂 I think you’ll be covered with the days you’ve already done as I’m guessing you will have already ovulated by now since you got your peak when I did that😊

@GeorgeR28 thank you ❤️ I sadly do understand what you mean, it terrifies me too every day but I just try to convince myself otherwise to stay positive, it is hard though 😔

Gem0302 · 29/11/2023 21:41

@Wise0wl glad your scan got moved forward and that it went well. How are you feeling now?

@Bugdem123 there’s so much waiting around when ttc isn’t there! I feel like my fertile week is the only time I’m not wishing time away and like I’m actually doing something that’s within my control.

@graceinc22 fab news about ovulation. Got my fingers crossed for you.

@GeorgeR28 I’m so sorry for your loss and the ongoing trauma you had to go through. I’m also 9DPO and don’t deal well with seeing negative tests. I find myself googling (even though I know the answer) the chances of it being bfp after X amount of dpo. Similar to ladyinpink I try to focus on what I can try or do differently next cycle. Previous cycles I’ve started testing super early. I’m going to try and not test at all until 13dpo as that’s then I got my bfp with my son. I also turn to this forum quite a bit when I’m struggling with my thoughts.

Hope everyone is doing ok 💕

GeorgeR28 · 29/11/2023 21:47

@Haylsttc thats exactly what I try to do. Two consultants have said to me now ‘you’ve got pregnant once and you will do it again don’t worry’ but sometimes the irrational mind takes over and I can’t stop overthinking it literally completely consumes me some days

GeorgeR28 · 29/11/2023 21:49

@Gem0302 Thanks so much for replying! Funny you say that I’ve been doing that exact thing tonight, being only 9dpo I know that it’s most likely going to be negative but actually seeing the negative still really upsets me. I think the worst part is I got pregnant easily the first time and now it’s cycle 2 post surgery and I’m starting to panic that it won’t happen for such a long time. Do you have any tips on what you do differently each cycle? I’m scared to change things but then also want to! We did the Sperm meets egg method this month after hearing such good things about it. Really hope you’re doing okay ❤️

GeorgeR28 · 29/11/2023 21:59

@Ladyinpink1 thankyou for replying. It honestly was horrific, something I’m scared I’ll never really get over, I can’t imagine going a day without thinking about it over and over. I’m so glad I joined onto the thread, thankyou again ❤️
oh amazing what did you find about Brazil nuts… adding them to my next shopping list! Xx

Gem0302 · 29/11/2023 22:02

@GeorgeR28 i know exactly what you mean about seeing that negative test. It’s like it destroys the hope you have and instantly makes you doubt this cycle being the one. Not testing is equally as hard but I’ve been distracting myself the best I can.
So this cycle we used conceive plus lube, not every time but a couple in the days leading up to ovulation, I’ve also added into my diet lots of things that are meant to help: pineapple inc the core, Brazil nuts and soup for lunch rather than skipping it or eating something cold. Every month I do seed cycling, take multi vitamins and vitex which I don’t plan on changing as I know they’ve helped balance my hormones.
I think you’re right about not changing things too much as you want to know what’s working for you but anything that wouldn’t hurt like diet stuff etc I think is worth a shot.

GeorgeR28 · 29/11/2023 22:10

@Gem0302 honestly you’re just speaking my thoughts! That’s exactly where I’m at now. It’s a constant rollercoaster each month of waiting for ovulation, then being excited, then starting to worry again. I’m not going to test now until my period is due, I track bbt as well but this month I decided once my ovulation was confirmed I’d stop because every temp raise and dip I’d be googling and obsessing. I’ve heard a lot about that lube so I think we’ll try that next & definitely yes with the diet I’m going to do some research into that. I’ve been taking vitex since my surgery too and I’m hoping it’s helping, I ovulated bang on day 14 this month so I’m attributing it to the vitex wether it helped or not 🤣 thanks so much! Xxx
