Cd1 of ttc first cycle after loss... anyone want to join me? 🙂

Hi 🙋‍♀️, just as the title says, I am now on cd1 of my first cycle after a loss at 11+4 (stopped growing just after a scan showing strong heartbeat at 8 -9w)

Feeling nervous but positive about a new cycle ...but finding it hard to think of anything else other than ttc 🙂

Happy for some company to obsess with over these next weeks x

@CluelessInLondon I totally understand and so sorry AF arrived. I felt the same with my period after MC, I was convinced I'd conceive straight away. I'm also mentally gearing myself up for this month not being the one by trying to think of the positives of enjoying a drink and a lot of cheese over the festive period.

It's totally okay to feel rubbish and I hope the next month is the one xx

@CluelessInLondon I’m sorry, it is totally rubbish 😕 We’ve all been there with the expectation and disappointment. And Christmas does bring an extra layer of significance - that sense of ‘family’ time is so pronounced, of course you’ll be feeling the gap between what is and what could have been. It’s ok to feel sad. You can look for positives another day. Hugs.

@ThelastRolo20 Mine was 0.38 (according to PreMom) this morning, so still middling and inconclusive. Previously I’ve had peaks first thing (8am-ish) so who knows. I will also be POAS at work this afternoon! But I’ve run out of easy@home so if you hear someone swearing at the slippery little one step in the cubicle next to you, that’s me…!

@CluelessInLondon aw no, I'm so sorry! I can really relate, when my period started last week and I was devastated. Like you, I'd held on to hope that I'd be one of those people who conceived on their first go after the MC and was so gutted that it hadn't worked out. This time of year just amplifies everything especially when you had an idea in your head of how things would be. I hope you can find the time over the next few days for some good self care - chocolate, blankets and a crap movie are good, and I so hope the next cycle is the one for you.

@ThelastRolo20 this has made me feel so much better as I'm in the office next week when I think I'll get my peak and was planning how I could do this 😂

@Haylsttc that sounds like you stuck to it well, you will definitely be covered with all those days 🙂. Hoping these next days go fast! Do you wait for AF or early test? x

I'm so sorry AF has arrived @CluelessInLondon and I understand it is so tough when you hear the "more fertile after miscarriage stories" that makes you get your hopes up even more... it has not proved to be true either time for me but that thought being out there definitely makes it harder. Sending a hug your way xxxx

@CluelessInLondon I completely understand and feel those feelings too ❤️ I found it very hard to overcome that I didn’t fall pregnant again in the first few months after my miscarriage. Sending you lots of love!

@ThelastRolo20 I’ve debated bringing the ovulation stuff to work at times too but haven’t actually done it, needs must though 😂 hopefully they will get darker for you in the coming days! I ovulated later last cycle, no idea why but it felt like I was waiting an eternity but it still happened so keep going 🫶

@Ladyinpink1 I’m trying to be as optimistic as possible this cycle, fingers crossed for us both🤞 I always say I will wait until after my AF is due but I usually end up caving and testing the day before 😂 when will you test?

@Haylsttc thank you - I've only tracked one cycle before so I'm only going off of that. Hopefully in the next couple days - literally couldn't be blanker right now

@ThelastRolo20 if it’s helps my tests were looking like that for a few months and I kept giving up and stopped testing as it turned out I just ovulate really late. Keep trying and maybe it’s late ovulation. Fingers crossed for you.

I’m really sorry @CluelessInLondon, sending lots of love your way. Like others have said, we all understand the feelings that you’re feeling right now and hoped that we would be the ones to fall pregnant the first try after a mc.

It’s really really tough ttc after loss, I know that I personally used ttc as a coping mechanism and when AF arrived it felt like I was grieving the loss all over again.

I hope you have lots of chocolate/wine on hand and can binge watch some crappy telly x

Thank you @SunSparkle @Haylsttc @Bali200 - I'm really hoping that this first cycle was the worst and I won't find it quite as hard to deal with if it doesn't happen for me next time round.

Still no progress on OPKs here either @ThelastRolo20 - back down to 0.19 this afternoon. DH goes away for the rest of the week tomorrow, so late ovulation does me no good, but I’m more worried that I won’t ovulate at all. Have 21 day progesterone test this month, so at least that will hopefully give doc something to help with - though this has never been a problem before!

@Oxalis00 no progress for me either. Will just have to see what tomorrow brings but if nothing by the end of the week I'll stop testing and will just wait for AF

I've bought some easy at home ovulation steps to compare to one step. I'm having loads of EWCM the last few days and boobs are sore so I'm convinced something must be happening! We had sex Sunday and will do tomorrow just in case - will be interesting to compare tests tomorrow

@CluelessInLondon it has definitely got easier for me each cycle, it’s still sad but I’m just trying to trust my body ❤️‍🩹

@Oxalis00 Hope your opks get darker soon 🤞 If I don’t get a bfp this cycle I’m going to try get a doctors appointment next month as I really want my progesterone checked too!

@Haylsttc typically the moment I order other tests these seem to be getting dark! The bottom two are 1.5 hours apart this morning so assuming a peak around midday (which is same time as day last time)

@ThelastRolo20 what OPK's are they? the one with the green backing, are they good? I hate this testing game, it just never ends. I do personally really like the easy@home tests. i like that i can see the number progression with the app. Heres my ones so far after the MMC, will attach in a separate post.

Here’s my results this month, I don’t know about everyone else but I don’t feel like I caught my peak this month, and my ovulation day reading was really low so no idea when it’s coming or if it’s already passed.

I have had the cramps, backache, nausea the last few days and some spotting today but not sure if it’s my mind playing tricks with me. I’m 6DPO and DTD twice mainly due to DH work schedule.

I already got a negative pregnancy test before TTC but all this waiting is very confusing and stressful.

I use the easy@home strips and the Premom app. I find the app is genuinely pretty accurate with me and the test strips are genuinely spot on but I like to compare the numbers. It gets pretty addictive especially when you like to see other people’s numbers too.

@Rainbowpeanut02 it looks like you ovulated CD13 - the readings are pretty good but sometimes you need to judge by eye and those two lines look the same to me. I reckon you're about 7 DPO - keep us updated! X

Yes it’s very true, sometimes I try to scan the strip to make sure it consistently is giving the right reading, it’s awful when it starts to give false hope. We DTD on CD 14 and 15 was hoping to DTD more but judging by the readings figured there wouldn’t be much point and DH was physically exhausted.

As per the app, Ovulation day was CD 16 which I don’t think is accurate as my reading was 0.32 and by the strip, it’s quite light in comparison to others.

Couldn’t really DTD before hand as CD11/12 I was still giving positive pregnancy readings after the MC bleeding stopped. Think I got my first negative on CD13.

@Rainbowpeanut02 thanks, I really hope so, but I’m trying not to get my hopes up, just counting down the days till I can do a test. Will test I think around the 5th and find out I guess but it’s taking all my self control not to test sooner! Xx
