Hi 🙋‍♀️, just as the title says, I am now on cd1 of my first cycle after a loss at 11+4 (stopped growing just after a scan showing strong heartbeat at 8 -9w)

Feeling nervous but positive about a new cycle ...but finding it hard to think of anything else other than ttc 🙂

Happy for some company to obsess with over these next weeks x

@Gem0302 I am 5dpo yes and cycle 2 for me. It's definitely all consuming, I agree with you and I think also being so consumed by it is what makes it harder each time af arrives... but at the same time it's pretty impossible not to be consumed so we can't win 🤷‍♀️. Bottle of wine, a bath and a nice chill weekend sounds good x

@Gem0302 sorry to hear your period arrived, cycle day 1 is always the hardest mentally ❤️ it’s a real positive about your cycle length this month and luteal phase being nice and long too! Enjoy your wine this evening! What vitamins are you taking? I think I’m going to change vitamins next cycle if this one isn’t a success and going to get my partner to start taking a fertility vitamin too instead of just the regular one he takes now 😊

Bali200 · 05/11/2023 06:41

@Wise0wl that’s a wonderful line, congratulations! How are you getting on with the spotting? I imagine that anxiety is through the roof but I have everything crossed for you for a positive outcome! 🙏🏼 x

@Gem0302 so sorry to hear that AF has arrived, I know it’s really tough and it’s ok to feel all the feels. Glad to hear you’re treating yourself to wine and a nice bath, sounds like a dreamy combo 🥰 x

@Ladyinpink1 and @Haylsttc how are you both feeling? Not too long till you’re in testing territory although I know the wait is painful, got everything crossed for you both too 💗💗 x

Ladyinpink1 · 05/11/2023 07:24

Hi @Bali200 how are you feeling? Has it sunk in yet for you? x
I am 6dpo but have absolutely zero symptoms this cycle, no twinges, no cramps etc... which I suppose is good as I have nothing to obsess over. Lol. x

Wise0wl · 05/11/2023 07:33

Thanks @Aaliyahrae & @Bali200. I also had spotting in my first pregnancy and spent the whole first trimester worrying about it. It seems to have stopped for now so fingers crossed! Otherwise I’m just feeling completely exhausted and could sleep for a week (so no change to usual 😂).

Hope you’re both doing ok?

Good luck to those testing soon @Ladyinpink1 @Haylsttc 🤞

Gem0302 · 05/11/2023 08:52

@Haylsttc I’m taking pregnacare and vitex. What about you? I was considering trying maca root but not sure if it will mess my cycle up. My husband also takes a generic vitamin so might get him to take the fertility ones this month.

Oxalis00 · 05/11/2023 09:57

Congratulations @Wise0wl! That’s a brilliant line you’ve got there. I thought your symptoms sounded promising…! Exciting but daunting too, I’m sure. It’s good that you’ve got a plan to contact EPU. Keep us posted. X

Haylsttc · 05/11/2023 12:28

@Bali200 @Wise0wl aw thank you will keep you updated! Going to buy some tests from boots today for Wednesday as I don’t have any in the house 😂

@Gem0302 I take mine separately I take folic acid, vitamin d, vitamin c and zinc and vitamin b6! But I’ve decided if this cycle doesn’t work then I’m going to try something like pregnacare or procieve next cycle and see if an all in one vitamin works better that my random concoction 🤷‍♀️ Going to buy it today and one for my other half too whilst I’m in boots so will let you know what I end up with 😊I’ve seen mixed reviews about macaroot I would personally stay clear if you’re already ovulating each month just in case it messes anything up!

Haylsttc · 05/11/2023 20:04

@Gem0302 I ended buying pregnacare for me and wellmans conception for him 😊

Ladyinpink1 · 06/11/2023 06:23

@Haylsttc and @Oxalis00 how are you both feeling, any symptoms? I think you are set to test on Wed hayls, when will you xlisa? or will you wait for AF? x
I have zero symptoms of anything, normally I have twinges or something in a cycle... especially pregnant cycles I have lots of little cramps and twinges, but I literally feel nothing.

How is everyone else doing? Anyone else testing soon that I have missed?
And those started AF, I hope you are feeling positive about a nice fresh cycle, the fertile week really comes round so fast! Then the tww goes in slow motion lol xx

@Haylsttc ahh snap 😊 Well I’m already taking pregnacare and I picked up the wellmans yesterday for him. I’ve also ordered the conceiveplus lube to try this month. Just need my fertile week to hurry up now!

ThelastRolo20 · 06/11/2023 08:48

@Ladyinpink1 how many days DPO are you? We're having regular ish sex but not tracking - just going to do that until AF arrives 😊 won't test until I'm 6 weeks post miscarriage as my period would likely be late anyway. Today is week3 so 3 weeks to go (unless AF rears her ugly head in the meantime!) X

Ladyinpink1 · 06/11/2023 09:12

Hi @ThelastRolo20 whenever you comment, I always fancy a packet of rolls btw... may have to get some on my way to work.....rolos are good to help ttc right? 😄
Well you never know, with regular dtd you could catch that egg and never see AF! I am 7dpo today x

CluelessInLondon · 06/11/2023 09:51

@Wise0wl Congratulations - hoping for a sticky bean for you. How are you feeling at the moment, any symptoms yet? Hope you can get into EPU for an early scan.

@Gem0302 Sorry to hear your period arrived - glad you've got some reassurance to take from the cycle length though, fingers crossed you get into a regular pattern and good luck for the next one. I would maybe avoid starting any new supplements that you haven't tried before for the time being - if anything messes up your cycle you won't know exactly what has done it, so maybe see how the next one goes?

@ThelastRolo20 Good plan not to do too much tracking and testing for now - it's too easy to obsess! I'm holding off on OPKs until I get to CD11 and then I'm going to start testing to see what's happening. I didn't bother with OPKs at all when I first started TTC, but the loss has made me want to know a lot more about what the heck is actually going on in my body. I know there's no control, but I at least like the illusion of control.

Good luck to everyone who is testing this week, keeping fingers crossed for some BFPs!

TTC has started again in earnest for me, although I know I'm not likely to ovulate for about another week - I am already getting super-impatient. 😅 Had a chat with my husband over the weekend where I asked him to try and make sure I don't get too neurotic about it, so let's see how that goes!

Oxalis00 · 06/11/2023 11:40

Zero signs or symptoms of anything here either @Ladyinpink1! Only 5dpo though so I know it’s too early. I don’t mind this bit of the TWW where you just have to wait. Next week I know I’ll be mega-tense and obsessive though! I don’t really want to test unless AF is late, but DH is away when AF due and I don’t really want to find out without him either! So I’ll probably worry about all this for the next week, and then get AF anyway 🤦🏻‍♀️ how about you?!

ThelastRolo20 · 06/11/2023 12:54

@Ladyinpink1 I know, love Rolos 😂 definitely grab some. Oo 7 DPO, not long until testing timeframe, what's your plan? @CluelessInLondon definitely nice not to track, will just have to see what happens! If (as is very likely) AF arrives, I have fun Christmas party plans on 9th December to distract me

SnookyPook · 06/11/2023 14:02

Hi All, just checking in so I don't lose you all.

Massive congrats @Wise0wl - hope it's a sticky one for you 💕

I think my bleeding has just about stopped. Another two weeks until I officially test, although may do one a bit sooner just to see what is happening. I'm in two minds about opks... I think I might just to keep an idea of my cycles.. but still feel we should probs hold off trying again until my appointment with the fertility consultant comes through. At the very least, it would probably be good to have one proper period before we try again as I've had a CP bleed and then a MC bleed in a row with no proper normal cycles in-between. Not quite sure where my head is at. Some days I'm weirdly blasè about it all and then others the slightest thing will set me off crying. All very normal I guess. Really never imagined I'd be in this position of 3 losses in a row. It's been a tough year. I know we shouldn't wish time away but I'm quite looking forward to 2024 and hopefully putting all this behind us.

CluelessInLondon · 06/11/2023 15:30

@SnookyPook Good to hear that the bleeding has stopped - and a bit of a break from TTC might be good after the year that you've had. Any idea yet when you'll be seen in the fertility service? Fingers crossed it doesn't take too long for an appointment.

Gem0302 · 06/11/2023 15:46

@CluelessInLondon that makes sense. I’m going to stick to my usual vitamins for now. Trying to look at the positives and having a ‘normal’ period and cycle this month is reassuring after a few irregular months.

I also asked my husband to keep me sane this time but I think that’s asking him to do something impossible ha. Although I have found this forum to be super helpful in getting my thoughts out 💕

Liz2681 · 06/11/2023 19:03

Hi everyone - been completely out of the loop these last few days, so really glad to see a couple more BFPs and those gearing up to test soon.

So sorry to hear about those who haven't received good news this cycle 😔 will be keeping everything crossed for you all!

So started spotting on Friday at 9DPO and panicked thinking AF had arrived extremely early. It was all a bit start/stop though, and it never really turned into a full flow so did a test yesterday and I'm pretty sure it's positive! Did further tests today which were also positive. I'm still spotting a little bit but it has decreased a lot since Friday. @Wise0wl I know you mentioned you were going through something similar so really hope your visit to the EPU went well today. I'm going to keep an eye on my spotting and do the same if it revs up again.

Aaliyahrae · 06/11/2023 19:13

@Liz2681 congratulations!!!! So happy for you. I had spotting in my pregnancies with my children, it may just be implantation. Keep an eye on it and call EPU if you are worried xx

Wise0wl · 06/11/2023 19:13

Thank you @Oxalis00 & @CluelessInLondon & @SnookyPook, it’s sort of blown me away how lovely this thread is when I know how hard it is when someone gets a bfp you so desperately want. You are all wonderful women and I have everything crossed for all of us to get our sticky beans ♥️

I think I can see a line @Liz2681! How many DPO are you?

In terms of a spotting update: I did one of those e-consult Patch form things good for me to speak to my GP this morning, and they have referred me to EPU, who have said that they’re happy to scan me next week (when I think I’d be about 6 weeks) as they don’t recommend scans until after 5 weeks. And they need to scan before thinking about prescribing progesterone, so I guess we’ll see what happens between now and end of next week? I was happy that it felt like they responded quickly and have taken it seriously, so am focusing on that! @Liz2681 I had a lot of spotting in my first pregnancy too, often when my periods would have been (and that was my successful pregnancy). Fingers crossed for you!

Liz2681 · 06/11/2023 19:36

I second what @Wise0wl everyone's so lovely, honestly this thread has been so instrumental in helping me through some seriously crappy times!

The FRER test was taken at 11DPO yesterday. Did a Clearblue test today and that was also a faint positive, although that wasn't with FMU like the FRER (photo below). My easy@home tests are still quite faint though, so don't know if that's just due to the kind of test or what 😬

Thanks @Wise0wl and @Aaliyahrae that's really helpful to know. I think I'm just worried because that's how my MC started in September, but also know spotting doesn't have to signify a problem.

Thanks @Wise0wl that's really helpful to understand what the process is at the EPU. I ovulated really late this cycle as well (CD20) so they may not see very much anyway even if I had an ultrasound. Think I may need to wait it out for another few days and see what happens.

Aaliyahrae · 06/11/2023 19:48

@Wise0wl & @Liz2681 i agree. That’s why I didn’t want to leave the thread when I got my BFP because I’ve found it so helpful. As a lot more of us start getting our BFP’s I hope the baby dust spreads throughout and we all get our happy endings! ❤️❤️

& @Liz2681 it is so scary, that’s how my miscarriage started too but I’ve also had 2 healthy children and had spotting. They never found a reason for the spotting and it happened for weeks. I know how worrying it is though so please feel free to keep messaging about it etc if you are worried and need to get it off your chest xx

Liz2681 · 06/11/2023 20:10

Thanks @Aaliyahrae that's really reassuring and really appreciated. I'll keep everyone posted on how I get on. In the meantime, will look forward to seeing some more BFPs on the thread! 💜
