Hi 🙋‍♀️, just as the title says, I am now on cd1 of my first cycle after a loss at 11+4 (stopped growing just after a scan showing strong heartbeat at 8 -9w)

Feeling nervous but positive about a new cycle ...but finding it hard to think of anything else other than ttc 🙂

Happy for some company to obsess with over these next weeks x

@Aaliyahrae please do stick around it would be lovely to hear how you are getting on 💕

Oxalis00 · 03/11/2023 10:10

@SnookyPook Sending love as you go through this horrible process again. It’s so unfair. It sounds like you’ve had good support from medics and hopefully will have more information/reassurance/a plan soon. I feel you on the dream of announcing at Christmas, though… something about the turn of the year feels so definite, especially after the mad year we’ve both had. For now, absolutely time to cosy up and take some time for yourself.

I’m CD16 now and DTD last night so am waiting with @Ladyinpink1 to see if anything comes of our efforts this month. Had a really good sleep and completely forgot to temp this morning so who knows what’s going on in there?! Feeling ok today but I’m sure the TWW will bring its usual ups and downs. Mad how you have to act like you’re pregnant in case you are, so your brain gets to think you are, but then maybe you’re not 🤦🏻‍♀️

@Wise0wl I’m very hopeful for you! Will you test? Your restraint is impressive!

Gem0302 · 03/11/2023 10:15

@SnookyPook I’m really sorry that’s happening for you, take care of yourself and I hope your referral does come through quickly.

I saw my GP yesterday as although I’ve only been trying for 4 months. My cycles have changed and I’ve been getting a few symptoms I thought I should have checked out. She was so lovely and I’ve now been referred for bloods and an ultrasound. I had a MC last year and I’ve been really anxious about TTC. When we tried for my son 3 years ago I was naive and thought getting pregnant was the only hard part. I did try to get some advice around progesterone but she was reluctant to discuss it just yet and wants to see what my results are first.

Haylsttc · 03/11/2023 10:16

@Ladyinpink1 I’m guilty of turning everything into a symptom too in the two week wait, especially when it comes to comparing symptoms of my tww for my pregnancy earlier this year! I’ve got cramps this morning but only 6dpo so really hoping AF isn’t on the way, my body could do anything with ovulation being late so I’m unsure what to expect. I’m also still unwell so that’s kinda stopping me from symptom spotting this cycle as I don’t know what’s down to my illness and what’s not 😓

@Wise0wl Flo is telling me to test on Tuesday when I will be 10dpo whereas Premom isn’t predicting my AF until Friday which will be 13dpo, so two very different predictions 😂 I’ve never got to 13dpo (other than when I was pregnant) so I think I’m going to go somewhere in the middle and if AF doesn’t arrive by Wednesday I think I will test 😊

Oxalis00 · 03/11/2023 10:22

@Gem0302 I’m really glad your GP has been supportive and proactive. Can I ask what the tests/scans are looking for? My periods are much lighter since my MC and I do wonder whether there’s something going on I need to know about.

CluelessInLondon · 03/11/2023 10:41

So many new posts this morning! Congratulations to those who've got their BFPs - as someone who is at the start of TTC again after a miscarriage I find it really reassuring to see the positive stories, they give me hope after what has been such a miserable time. Completely understand how hard it can be to see it if you've been trying again for a little while and it's not happened yet - hugs and baby dust to everyone who's in that position. ❤

@Gem0302 That's great that you've got good support from your GP to check out the things you're concerned about - good luck for the bloods and scan and I hope you get some reassurance.

I'm CD7 today, had a slightly longer period than usual with a bit more spotting at the end but I was kind of expecting that as it was my first one after MC. Really hoping my body now settles back into the same kind of cycle it was in before my pregnancy. Also at the back end of a rubbish cold, but glad that it came along during my period and not afterwards!

Fingers crossed for anyone who is testing this weekend - and if you're not, I hope you're doing something lovely. 😊

Gem0302 · 03/11/2023 10:52

@Oxalis00 my cycles have always been 29 days but lately I’ve had a few at 26 days and had either really light bleeding or 1 day of bleeding then nothing. That’s when she said she would refer me for an ultrasound and check my hormone levels. I was expecting to get fobbed off so was surprised with the tests and having a Gp that really listened.

Im not sure what’s going on this month as I’m now CD30 and still no period.

ThelastRolo20 · 03/11/2023 12:12

@Gem0302 I'm pleased you're having some investigations. It can be unsettling when things change in our cycles
@CluelessInLondon I hope you're feeling better! Here's to TTC this month

@Ladyinpink1 pregnant dreams can be so vivid - fingers crossed it's all a good sign!

@SnookyPook I hope you're okay love X

My OPKs are picking up, given previous record it's likely it'll peak tomorrow so I've told my husband to cancel his plans for tonight and tomorrow 😂

Wise0wl · 03/11/2023 14:53

@Oxalis00 I was going to test today but chickened out, I’ve now had a little bit of pink on wiping so am feeling a bit disheartened to be honest. CD28, so AF should have arrived by now based on my cycles since my MMC. Not sure what’s going on, or whether to test or just wait and see what happens.

@Haylsttc not long to wait! Fingers crossed for you x

Ladyinpink1 · 03/11/2023 15:57

@Wise0wl I am only about 4 dpo today so a while yet to test... I would love to wait for AF instead, but we will see.
Just read your comment about the pink when wiping, has that got any heavier? I hope it is a good sign for you x

"Mad how you have to act like you’re pregnant in case you are, so your brain gets to think you are, but then maybe you’re not 🤦🏻‍♀️" @Oxalis00 you head is definitely as pickled as mine with all of this 🤣 I am cd 18, so we are close again this cycle. x

Sorry you still aren't feeling well @Haylsttc and 6dpo is getting close! When/if will you test? x

Oxalis00 · 03/11/2023 16:17

@ThelastRolo20 I like to think of your husband texting his friends “sorry lads, no drinks tonight, got to impregnate the wife”. Good luck!

@Wise0wl Sorry to hear of the worries today has brought. I don’t know whether the spotting has progressed, but I’d be inclined to test - but then I’d want to know if a bleed was potentially a CP or just regular AF, other people may not. And I guess a positive test plus bleeding might get you progesterone? I’ve never had that but worth a shot. Of course plenty of people have bleeding and pregnancy is fine. 🤷🏻‍♀️ Good luck, and we’re here for you however this unfolds.

Haylsttc · 03/11/2023 16:34

@Gem0302 really glad to hear about your GP, you’re lucky to have one that will do further investigations for you 😊 Do you know when you ovulated this month? If it was later that might be the reason for being CD 30 if that’s not a normal cycle length for you

@CluelessInLondon my AF after my missed miscarriage was also seven days when it’s normally four or five, however it went back to normal on my periods following

@ThelastRolo20 ooo good luck 🤞

@Wise0wl I hope it’s not AF for you! maybe do a test in the morning to check with FMU? 😊

@Ladyinpink1 I’m going to try my best to hold off from testing until Wednesday as that’s 11dpo and that’s when I got AF last cycle so if it doesn’t show by Wednesday I’ll test, feels so long away though! When are you planning on testing?

Gem0302 · 03/11/2023 17:36

@Haylsttc i got a peak on CD14 and my fertility friend app says CD14 based on my bbt. Based on other signs I did think it could be CD 15 so either way I’m 15 or 16 dpo today. Haven’t tested today as got sick of seeing negative tests. If my period doesn’t show tomorrow I will test again but deep down I know I’m out this month.

Good luck to everyone testing this week x

Ladyinpink1 · 03/11/2023 21:33

@Haylsttc That sounds like a good idea then when you do test you will know for definite as it's not too early. I normally test at 8dpo (Tuesday) but this time I'm going to really try and wait longer x

@Gem0302 would your luteal phase normally be this long? 15 or 16dpo with no af sounds good? x

Morning everyone, I had a migraine last night but took a test - it looks like I have my bfp but I’m still very anxious. Light pink still on wiping sometimes but not always, so going to check in with EPU on Monday about next steps. I am so hoping for a sticky bean. Hope you all have lovely Saturdays x

Cd1 of ttc first cycle after loss... anyone want to join me? 🙂
ThelastRolo20 · 04/11/2023 09:15

@Wise0wl congratulations! Lovely looking line, hopefully the EPU can give you an early scan to make sure everything is looking good 😊 x

Haylsttc · 04/11/2023 11:03

@Gem0302 if your period hasn’t shown today I would definitely do a test even if just to rule it out 😊

@Ladyinpink1 when I test early I get myself in a mood when it’s negative so I like to try and wait to save myself the disappointment until later 😂

@Wise0wl oh wow that’s a strong line too, gentle congratulations ❤️ I think the EPU will scan you or with my last pregnancy the emergency gynaecology ward were amazing and scanned me three times. So happy to see this thread getting another bfp, it’s been a successful month and gives me hope!

Hoping I can join in next week 🤞 if not onto the next cycle haha!

Gem0302 · 04/11/2023 13:02

Congratulations @Wise0wl that’s a good line!

My period arrived today so no need to do another test. I’m slightly reassured by this cycle being 30 days. Onto the next cycle 😞.

Ladyinpink1 · 04/11/2023 13:51

@Wise0wl Congratulations! 🎉🎊 That's a great line. Hope all goes well on Monday x

@Gem0302 I'm sorry, how are you feeling today? What cycle number will this one be? x

OP posts:
Gem0302 · 04/11/2023 14:19

@Ladyinpink1 feeling very sorry for myself today. I know I will pick myself back up soon but i do find TTC to be all consuming. This is cycle 4 so I know its not actually been that long. What cycle are you on? Are you 5dpo now?

ThelastRolo20 · 04/11/2023 14:49

@Gem0302 I hope you're okay lovely, the start of a new cycle is always tough. You can rightly feel crappy today!

I know it won't help but going into cycle 4 is so normal timeframe wise.

I'm just waiting for my period post MMC. I was going to use OPKs and they had been getting stronger but have now gone back the other way. I've decided to not test anymore, I've peed on too many sticks over the past 3 weeks and it's becoming too much of a focus x

Wise0wl · 04/11/2023 15:42

Thank you everyone - you are all so kind. I self referred after discussing with DH so we’re on the system, and he’s said he’s happy to deal with any admin this time if it doesn’t work out.

Sending lots of love @Gem0302. I was worried about short cycles before this one, and this is my fourth since my MMC as my cycles were very short. Fingers crossed for you this cycle xx

Aaliyahrae · 04/11/2023 17:08

@Gem0302 Ah be kind to yourself. I felt the same when I came on last month. You’re allowed to be sad and feel deflated. Are you going to try anything new this cycle?x

Aaliyahrae · 04/11/2023 17:12

@Wise0wl Omg Congratulations!! How are you feeling? How did you feel seeing that? I had spotting with my two children. With my daughter, I went to the EPU so many times and they said it’s very common but always get it checked. Praying that it’s just implantation spotting for you - I know it’s terrifying seeing any form of blood when you’re pregnant so my inbox is open if you need a chat❤️.

Gem0302 · 04/11/2023 17:43

Thanks everyone 🥰. I’ve bought myself a bottle of wine and I’m going to enjoy a glass or two in the bath once my son is in bed.
Im not really sure if to try anything new this month. I’m already taking vitamins, seed cycling, avoiding all alcohol (other than when I’m on my period), using opks and tracking my bbt and CM. It’s like a full time job haha. If anyone has any suggestions of what else I could try though that would be great.
