@Jadeypie what were your bloods that you had done? If you didnt have the sex hormones and androgen index ask for them too. Them and all the others can give you a bigger picture. Thats what my dr said anyway lol if your scan showed no pcos yet you havent ovulated and have long cycles then you know yourself something isnt quite right. Only other test apart from day 21 and 2 (my dr wont give me the day 2 until ive been trying for a year 🤔) i would push for them and for a thyroid one too .. @Sez281 good about your period. Now you can start trying again with 'fresh' bits haha

Jadeypie · 19/11/2023 18:56

@Supertrooper101 oh yeh somthings 100% not right. My bloods was thyroid, putirity gland (not sure how to spell it haha) sugers fsh erm all kinds tbh all different type of hormones it was I crnt even remember the exact ones and the dr just said testoste elevated. I've always had long cycles so that's the norm for me but short ones aren't. I've had a lot of stress this year I'm wondering if that's a big factor too. I've been committed to my health kick and I've lost over a stone so I am trying to look after myself. I already have a beautiful 2.5 year old so I know I can carry but yeh somethings changed xx

Sez281 · 19/11/2023 22:22

@Jadeypie oh no I'm so sorry to hear that 😢 You're only around cd20 yeah? You sure it's AF? Hopefully it's just like the strange spotting you had a while ago and it stops soon xx

@Supertrooper101 yeah my spruced up bits lol. I very much doubt I'll be up for anything for at least another week so hopefully it drags out a little 😂

Supertrooper101 · 20/11/2023 09:07

@Jadeypie i think stress does have a big part in it personally. Did you have prolactin tested? How can we not stress though. Every single day were feeling something and know something isnt right. And then normal hormones on top. Its just round and round. You know you can have a baby so thats positive. I would focus on that and carry on with your health kick and try ignor the rest whilst still ttc but at the back of your head. @Sez281 your hope can be your under the fertility clinic and she seems hands on no messing around so will get you a baby one way or another 🙂... and me.....lol i need to take my own advise and chill the f out whilst busting a ball getting my appointment through and finding out what this fluid is in my pouch of douglas also 🤣

Sez281 · 20/11/2023 18:57

@Supertrooper101 there's definitely no messing around with my consultant. She kind of scares me to be honest! 😂 one of the nurses I spoke to last week told me she's the best though so I'll take that! And yes it is definitely much easier said than done to chill out but I also love the way you fight for answers and research the crap out if everything, I'm quite similar in that I like to know what I'm up against even if in the end it's out of my hands 🤷‍♀️ I really do think it will happen soon for us though 🤞 xx

No real news here, I had a very short and light AF so starting opks again now but still in too much pain to even think about dtd (OH going to get his analysis tomorrow so really interested to hear those results) I'm just waiting on my day 21 and results and had day 3 (4) today.

@Westy22 did you call your gp? X

@Jadeypie hope your ok if it was in fact early AF x

@xxcxdonxx hope you're doing ok, any news? X

Thanks @Sez281 , I’m doing ok thanks. Hope you aren’t still in too much pain from your procedures.
I’ve been spotting since 5dpo and it’s really annoying me now; not even from ttc but just in general as it’s extending my period for at least another week. I do however have my call with the consultant from recurrent miscarriage next week so I’m going armed with info of my cycles and see what she can offer. Any advice from those who have had a similar appointment?
The longer this process is taking, the more I feel like packing it in. It’s coming up for a year now and I’m just now where I thought I would be.
I know I’m very fortunate and I shouldn’t complain but it’s all just a bit 😩 right now.

How is everyone getting on?

Supertrooper101 · 21/11/2023 20:30

@xxcxdonxx defo feel the 'i give up' trail of thoughts. Really tireing just all this obsessing, and i do actually rekon i bring half my sysmptons on myself thr stress. @Sez281 my guy had his sperm test yesterday... started my CBs today. Cd7 .yay......not lol

Sez281 · 21/11/2023 21:52

@xxcxdonxx so sorry you're having a tough time. It can get so disillusioning can't it especially with spotting like that when it can't be explained. What dpo are you now? Definitely a good idea to have all your cycles written out, what day you ovulate, how long your LP is and how long cycles are. It might be a case of perhaps needing progesterone or something simple just to tweak it and hopefully make all the difference 🤞xx

@Supertrooper101 how did your OH get on? I think mine was a bit traumatised today after it 🙈😂 I'm not far behind you on cd5 so starting opks again. I've also gotten a bbt thermometer (which I swore I wouldn't) just to add to the obsession 🤯😂

Morning everyone

@Sez281 looks like another three day bleed rather than spotting. I feel like giving up @xxcxdonxx like it's just pointless to track at this point with these random bleeds ect. I'm even contemplating deleting my aps all together and just forget about the whole thing. @Supertrooper101 I this stress is a big factor of mine tbh. Xx

@Westy22 how are you doing xx

@SnookyPook hope your doing okay xx
P

xxcxdonxx · 22/11/2023 09:27

Morning, @Sez281 @Supertrooper101
I’m 10dpo today but I think AF might be starting so maybe CD1?! I’m really hoping that it is a simple tweak as this process is taking its toll!!
I’m with you @Jadeypie these random bleeds are not helpful! Do you class that as your period? I’m sorry you are not having a good time of it either xx

Westy22 · 22/11/2023 11:16

Hey girls,

Super stressed with house and feeling very hormonal, impossible to get in my gps atm going to try again tomorrow. Not sure when I ovulated and we've only dtd twice in the possible window lol so yeah not hopeful this month. But you know what, it is what it is I'm going to push through the next 9 days of kitchen stress and then see where I'm at 💤 the only thing I was unsure of was whether I should be taking coq10 during ovulation? X

Supertrooper101 · 22/11/2023 11:33

@Sez281 my partner said he felt underwhelmed 🤣... i have stuff done and is invasive etc, scans bloods bla bla bla and he went, did his thing and handed it over lol he thought he would be sat in a room full of guys winking and smirking knowing what they have all just done haha i started temping last cycle. All fun at first then soon became annoying lol am taking pics of my opks of femometer app this time round and only temping around and after ovulation. Had my smear test today. And asked for a seperate swab to test for any kind of infection that could be causing the fluid in the pouch lol it would be nice to just roll up to an appointment....and just have that appoimtment, not asking for extras lol tbf on the nurses, they always do what i ask.....so far anyway lol @xxcxdonxx i learnt that any kind of bleed means an increase in estrogen so thats the start of the period. But then if you add spotting to the actual period....thats a long arse period. Its annoying. All of it, is annoying lol @Westy22 coq10 as far as i know should be taken everyday. Its not just for fertility, it benefits the whole body. Abit like zinc, cell repair etc so its good to take even if yiur not ttc.

Jadeypie · 22/11/2023 12:23

@xxcxdonxx I call it as a period if I need to use a pad ect and spotting if it's tiny when wiped and nothing else. This is like a light period looks more like old blood than anything. I just done a opk just because and it's gone up loads so I just don't no. @Supertrooper101 I've just laughed thinking of your partner in the waiting room it must be a weird experience tbf but yeh women have a lot worse to deal with regarding smears bloods ect.

@Westy22 ohhhh I sympathise kitchen stress is a nightmare!! Xx

Sez281 · 22/11/2023 13:32

@xxcxdonxx I agree that if you need pad or tampon it's not spotting but if just when you wipe it is. I can only imagine the frustration. Is there possibility it's implantation though? 🙏

@Westy22 start taking it as soon as you can and continue to take all through your cycle. Those renovations sound so stressful 😣 But also it only takes one time so twice might just cover it you never know 🤞 xx

@Jadeypie that's really interesting that they're rising again. Are you testing twice a day? If you've 30 day plus cycles it could make sense to only peak now. Hopefully you get a nice strong one 🙏

@Supertrooper101 My OH understands how what he had to do was nothing compared to what we go through but I think the old Irish catholic boy mentality was just installed at him from a young age so he found it really weird 😂 Good that they did an extra check with smear. I've booked in for mine next Monday just to tick it off the list

So I've had some blood results back and I'm after being thrown through a bit of a loop. They were my day 21 bloods so I just wanted my progesterone levels to confirm ovulation and see if I need to take tablets. (It turns out the lab did every test in the world except progesterone 🙄) . The doctor said that all of my levels are normal except for my proactilin which is elevated. It could be a cause of infertility, it could be stress, it could be that I have a pituitary gland tumour 😣 Proactilin is normally high in breastfeeding women which obviously I'm not so I have to go back for more bloods then maybe an MRI. I'm not too worried it just threw me a bit. If it's confirmed and all I need is a tablet or something to lower it and get pregnant that will be great 🙏

OP posts:
Jadeypie · 22/11/2023 14:27

@Sez281 I stopped testing because I've come on and just randomly decided to do one. It's obvious my hormones are all out of sync and they havnt got a clue what they are doing. Prolactin levels will cause havoc with hormones my aunt and cousin both have problems with there's and there hormones are up the wall. When I go the drs I will be requesting a plan put in place to figure out what's up with me. Sounds like your heading in the right direction with getting your teats ect xx

Sez281 · 22/11/2023 17:01

Oh sorry @Jadeypie I didn't realise it was full AF. That's so annoying 😣 Hopefully your scan results and bloods will give you an indication as to what's going on! 🤞X

Yeah I've been down high prolactin rabbit holes this afternoon 🙈 I'm not going to panic just yet though as I was very stressed that day getting the bloods so I'll get repeat ones in a couple of weeks and then MRI and if needed start meds to lower it

OP posts:
Supertrooper101 · 22/11/2023 19:26

@Sez281 did your dr say it could be from a tumour or is that info from down the rabbit hole lol i would say its from stress. Am always stressed and vitex worked great for me for mood swings and my prolactin levels are low. Google vitex and see what it says. If the dr gives u sumat tho id take that instead. Could be an easy fix for you though,so kind of good news in a way lol i said that to the nurse earlyer...right thats you ticked off the list lol

SnookyPook · 22/11/2023 21:18

@Jadeypie thanks for checking in. I'm doing ok. Had my appointment with the MH midwife yesterday afternoon and it was really helpful. Lovely lady and just really validating of where I'm at mentally. She said given my repeat losses and 'compounded grief' (think that's what she said) in a short space of time, she thinks I'm doing really well but also that there's complex stuff to work through and she thinks I'd benefit from seeing the clinical psychologist. She's doing me a referral. And if I get pregnant again whilst on the waiting list (which could be a few months) then it would become pregnancy support/processing everything instead of just focusing on working through the grief etc. In the meantime, she will check in on me too. I feel glad I went. I've realised that whilst I'm functioning well day to day and carrying on etc, the feelings are all right there very close to the surface. If anyone asks how I am or about the losses, I tear up almost immediately. So I'm glad of a chance to work through it a bit more.

Pretty sure I ovulated a few days ago based on symptoms, but didn't use opks or ttc. It's super refreshing being in a tww and not be stressing about symptoms! It feels very relaxing and calm to have the pressure off. So although around ovulation I felt a bit antsy about 'wasting' a cycle, I really do feel it was the right choice.

Been reading your posts. Seems there's lots going on for you all and still in some limbo. Hope answers are forthcoming soon. @Sez281 appreciate the elevated prolactin could be cause for concern, but similarly, relatively easy to tweak and would be a simple thing to balance which could have good results for fertility 🤞🏻

Hugs to all!

Sez281 · 22/11/2023 22:10

@SnookyPook Aww I've been thinking of you lately and hoping you're ok 🫶 That session with the MH nurse sounds so productive, and it's so great that you know she will be there going forward. Reading what you wrote there about not knowing where you are in your cycle and feeling relaxed about it I strangely feel a bit envious! I hope the build up to Christmas keeps you nice and busy and you head into New Year totally refreshed xx. Oh and after reading some more about prolactin levels I think you might be right and it might actually be a good thing if that's all it is 🙏

@Supertrooper101 I might have to look into getting something like that to de-stress me alright 🤯 She didn't actually say tumour just bloods then an MRI but benign ones do seem to be the most common (I need to step away from google 🙈)

Just got Day 3 results emailed to me. They’re actually quite good from what I can make out 🧐. The ones I was worried about FSH, LH, TSH & Free T4 all came back in normal range 🙌 my testosterone is normal too which is good as I’m on the DHEA 😂 My Prolactin has been flagged as high again but it’s not off the charts so that’s good and if that is the only thing that seems to be affecting my fertility then hopefully I can get meds to fix it 🙏

Just a smear test next week and repeat progesterone bloods on day 21 to be done before Christmas then I'm officially leaving it up to the fertility gods because there's nothing else I can do and I'm only driving myself mad at this stage. Time to step back a bit I think 😕

OP posts:
Supertrooper101 · 22/11/2023 22:37

@Sez281 well all that sounds good 🙂... im kinda with your attitude right now, even said to myself earlyer, 'ive done what i can, just a waiting game now, cut yourself some slack'...i wasnt that polite to myself but you get the jist haha i rememner someone saying that our testosterone should be at the higher end of the bracket, aparently thats what 'it starts with the egg' lady says , young fertile ladys levels are at the higher end 🤣 so theres my goal lol

Sez281 · 23/11/2023 09:36

@Supertrooper101 my testosterone was 0.7 and the range is 0.5-1.8 so actually she might up my DHEA dose a bit as I'm only on 25mg. I'm going to send her all the results this morning and ask for another appointment which will probably take couple of weeks. Hopefully she'll be able to sort the prolactin stuff out soon and can give it a couple of months of proper trying then and look at IVF down the road if needed. But yeah you've done everything you can now too. Hopefully you get procedure early in New Year but for now just try and step back too and enjoy Christmas (easier said than done I know 🙈😂) xx

Hi Ladies,

I have been a little quiet on here.

Still no luck conceiving since MMC in April/May. It seems so long ago now I don't even remember when it was!

Me and my partner are on proceive and tracking ovulation through LH tests and BBT. Thought I feel like I am constantly questioning if my tests are ok, its driving me mad. Though I know it is better to test so I know what is going on with my body. I am CD12, my LH test this morning was 0.12 and my Temp (Vaginally) was 36.37. Didnt get my 'peak' last month until CD16 but it was only 0.83 on Pre Mom. First month doing BBT so we will see.

My best friend, has just found out she is pregnant. I am very happy for her but so sad at the same time, it is quite literally ALL she talks about. I could say the sky is blue and some way she would turn that in to about how she is pregnant, I have expressed this but she is excited and also struggled to get pregnant so I get it.

Honestly I just feel like i will never have my baby :-(. Getting super down x

Jadeypie · 23/11/2023 11:08

@SnookyPook you have been through a hell of a ride this year! And I'm so glad you got some comfort from speaking to her she sounds lovely. And it's great that your getting the referral sometimes we don't acknowledge how bad we actually feel because we pretend to be OK so much! I think I'm going to take your approach in stepping back it's something I don't need to be worrying about at this moment in time (I've got a lot of stress around me atm) xx

@LouiseM29 I'm no help whatsoever with opks because mine are up the wall @Sez281 seems to be the pro haHa I find opks stressful and confusing and waiting for the peak feels like waiting for a bfp in a way and when u don't get it it's such a disappointment. We feel the same in this thread about forever waiting so don't feel alone. We are all in the very same boat and a bloody rocky sea xx

Supertrooper101 · 23/11/2023 13:29

@Sez281 well my stubboness at pushing for things paid off.! Got my procedure nxt weds ! 🙂.. doing a @SnookyPook and having a mth off trying now. Looking forward to it. And i BET my ovulation and cycle is perfect! My testosterone was 0.4.. am taking 2 x 25mg sometimes 3. Just added resveratrol to it too. Cant remember why off hand 🤣 ooo just think of how many CB opks a gona save lol @LouiseM29 my mmc was april when we found out. And not a thing since apart from weird cycles and lots of random pain and nausea. I just imagine my little one would be 4 wks now and i need to stop that. Am nearly 42 so theres my answer why its not going to happen again lol @Jadeypie id like to say were all in a shit show tbf where know one really gives a shit professionally lol apart from @Sez281 dr, we all need to move to dublin ! Oh. My fella got his 'junk' report back yesterday. He wants me to analyise it later 🤣

Jadeypie · 23/11/2023 14:17

@Supertrooper101 haha your totally right about the shit show!! Good news over your procedure!! I'm ringing the drs in the morning for a ap over my scan and want to see what more tests I can get and the actual numbers over my last lot of bloods. Was your oh results OK? Xx
