Hi ladies, just thought I'd create a new thread for anybody that wants to continue.
@Jadeypie
@Westy22
@Freddie15VES
@fleur89
@Strawb28
@DmcinT
@HopeAndStrength
@xxcxdonxx
And @SnookyPook for if/when you feel like you might want to come back xx

Sorry if I've forgotten anybody, I realise most of you guys have had your BFPs and there's only a few off us left waiting, but at least you know the thread is here so come back and keep us updated with all your lovely pregnancy stories 😊 For those of us still here, hopefully it won't be too much longer 🙏💖 xx

You do well not to use opks @Jadeypie , strangely I think they bring me some sanity to have some idea of what my body is up to. Honestly I think one month is long enough, once you’ve decided to go for it, as you say you just want that bfp.
As soon as anyone mentions future dates or making plans, my head goes straight to what cd I’ll be on or how many weeks pregnant I could potentially be. It’s tricky not to be so distracted by it all!

xxcxdonxx · 31/10/2023 06:46

Morning ladies, is anyone or their partners taking Coq10? I’m down a bit of a rabbit hole with vitamins and wondered if this was something worthwhile for me and my old eggs 🤕🤣

Westy22 · 31/10/2023 07:29

I started it @xxcxdonxx but always forget to take 🙈 I've read it's ment to be good though? Might see if I can take for a solid month 😂

I think I've had it before @Jadeypie I've read it can be quite normal to get ewcm before AF due to a hormone rise and its not the fertile type? Who knows though as you get that many answers on Google lol

I'm going back to the opk's this month, gives me some control 😂 didn't know where I was at last month and hated the guesswork.

Xx

Sez281 · 31/10/2023 07:46

@xxcxdonxx a lot of the general pre conception vitamins have CoQ10 in it (myself and my OH are taking the pregnacare his & hers - I've attached pic of ingredients) I decided there wasn't enough CoQ10 in it though so am taking some boots ones separately. Just arrived at consultants office so she should have my AMH egg results I'll know then if it's working, although I've no previous tests to go by 🤷‍♀️

I also agree that I really like opk's it takes all the guess work out of it for me as my ovulation days can be so messed up I'd be afraid of missing it 🙈

@Sez281 good luck with your appointment 🙂

Sez281 · 31/10/2023 08:52

Thanks @Supertrooper101

Just back from my appointment. It was so quick, I feel so overwhelmed! 😣 So my AMH is 4.2 which is apparently quite good for my age but could be a bit better. She’s prescribed me more folic acid & DHEA. I got more bloods taken (not really sure what for) and I’m booked in for surgery on the 15th of November for a Hysterocopy & Laproscopy to make sure everything is ok. She more or less said we’ll give it 2 months then go down the IVF route so will have to get my BMI down a bit and she’s referred my OH for semen analysis. I’m glad things are moving quickly but also feeling very emotional about the whole thing 😭

Jadeypie · 31/10/2023 09:24

@Westy22 yeh I think your right af has arrived this morning still light but it feels like af. Am taking it as a good sign I had means my hormones are doing something haha.

@Sez281 oh wow all systems go it's really positive that they are going all out and checking ect. I can imagine it to be overwhelming especially how quick it is too but better sooner than later xx

xxcxdonxx · 31/10/2023 09:28

Thanks @Sez281, I’ll get myself to boots!

That’s a lot of information to take in in a short appointment time, no wonder you are overwhelmed. Sounds like it is all
positive and moving pretty quickly too which is great, but a lot to get your head around.

Sez281 · 31/10/2023 10:29

@Jadeypie sorry to hear AF has arrived. It definitely sounds like hormones might be regulating tho 🤞

@xxcxdonxx maybe through some DHEA onto that shopping list. I think it can be got over the counter and I'm sure there's a reason why my consultant prescribed it 🤷‍♀️

Yeah its definitely great that the ball is rolling was just a lot to get my head around 🙈 but at least I know things are being actively investigated now 🙏 xx

OP posts:
Supertrooper101 · 31/10/2023 13:14

@Sez281 thats a great outcome. Dhea is prescription only in the uk. You can get it online tho. What dose did she tell you to take? I can guarentee my apointment nxt week wont go like yours lol

Sez281 · 31/10/2023 13:50

@Supertrooper101 I'm not sure what dose she prescribed, I left prescription in the chemist as they hadn't got it in stock so I've to go back tomorrow. I'm after reading a few threads about it and now I'm terrified to take it as I don't think I've had bloods to say that I've needed it. I understand that she wants to boost my AMH level but I'm worried now that I'll be getting too much testosterone 😣 Hopefully you're pleasantly surprised with your appointment next week. Either that or refuse to leave until they listen to you 🤷‍♀️😂😂

OP posts:
Supertrooper101 · 31/10/2023 18:21

@Sez281 she needs to be monitoring your tedtosterone levels, but tbh, at our age, i wudnt worry about them being too high lol u can ask your dr to monitor it. Am taking 2x 25mg a day. I had bloods done that showed low testosterone so started taking that. Didnt tell my dr the dhea just said a testosterone supp n can i have my levels checked in 3mths lol

Sez281 · 31/10/2023 23:19

@Supertrooper101 oh that's good advice, I'll get my gp to run bloods in a month or 2. Some of the side affects I read had me worried!

OP posts:
Jadeypie · 01/11/2023 06:43

@Sez281 that's what one of my bloods come back as too high testosterone I didn't knoe they give you it if it's low. Tbh I would be cautious too unless you no your levels are low because mine is the reason I'm not ovulating xx

Sez281 · 01/11/2023 07:49

Thanks for that @Jadeypie I think I'm going to call the hospital and confirm that they checked them first. I don't want to second guess the consultant but I also don't want to risk it! Hope you're doing ok x

OP posts:
Jadeypie · 01/11/2023 12:22

@Sez281 I'm OK af is kicking my butt!! I don't think I've had a period this heavy in a few months tbh but I'm making a positive and thinking well my lining got nice and thick this month so maybe I did ovulate haha. I think next month I'm going to up my game in dtd more because last month wasn't even a try haha. X

SnookyPook · 01/11/2023 12:41

@Sez281 oh wow! I can see why you felt a bit overwhelmed but that's great that things are happening for you. Maybe the bloods she took were for the testosterone levels? Anyway, hope you get clarification and that all of this ends positively for you!

I'm properly bleeding now but to say I should have been 7 weeks pregnant it's nothing like my previous miscarriage. I think with the low hcg etc this was more like a glorified prolonged CP than anything. I'm doing ok. Feel sad of course but some peace about it and just getting back to basics and trying to relax and enjoy a nice Christmas etc. Hoping it won't be too long to wait for the fertility appointment. Kind of feel like I want that to happen before we try again in case there is a simple tweak needed to make the next one stick... 🙏🏻

xxcxdonxx · 01/11/2023 18:19

Glad to hear you are doing ok @SnookyPook
I’m in the same position just now, not sure whether to start trying again this month incase it all ends in disaster again or wait until my appointment. The only problem is I have no patience 🤣

Sez281 · 01/11/2023 18:20

@SnookyPook I'm sorry the bleeding has properly started but I'm glad it's not too heavy and that you didn't have to wait and for it to be prolonged 😢. I'm sure given your recent history you'll definitely get a fertility appointment soon. It's hard to believe it's November already, I'm sure the next few weeks will keep you busy on the lead up to Christmas and then you can properly look forward to the New Year 🌈 🙏 xx

@Jadeypie Sorry to hear it's such a crappy AF. As if we don't have enough to deal with 🙄 but as you say it could be a good sign! 🤞There must be something in the water, I haven't been dtd half as much as I should be. To be honest the last few days I've been thinking about taking a break from it all for a few weeks. Ive obviously got my surgery coming up and I'll still keep an eye on opks but I definitely need to take a step back a bit and reset. I got really upset with my OH last night, he had no idea how much I'd been holding in (neither did I until I blurted it all out in a tearful tirade! 🙈) I think we're just going to focus on losing a bit of weight before Christmas but also going out and enjoying ourselves (back to where I was before this ttc became so obsessive! 😣) so I'm really going to try my best to be a bit more zen about the whole thing 🧘‍♀️We'll see how long it lasts! 🤷‍♀️😂

Westy22 · 01/11/2023 21:05

Hey!

Just checking in..no AF as of yet, one app is saying I'm late and the other is saying tomorrow. Looked back at my last 3 cycles and this is two days longer than they were already. Not sure how I feel about that. I have no tests so I'm not testing as I think I'll be dissapointed tbh.

Work has distracted me loads this last week and the days have flown, so not felt too obsessive and I think I've accepted that AF is coming, but today my boobs were burning again which has thrown me as its so close to AF but maybe my hormones are up the wall.

@Sez281 hope your alright, nothing worse when you hit that point and it all comes flooding out to our OH. Your appointment sounds like things are moving, but I felt overwhelmed just reading about it lol so I can imagine how you felt! But it's positive!

@Jadeypie I love a good heavy period lol makes me think things are working alright down there 🤣 I used to panic when mine went a bit light.

@SnookyPook @xxcxdonxx hope your both okay xx

xxcxdonxx · 01/11/2023 21:37

@Sez281 as much as we might not notice it day to day, TTC is a huge weight on our shoulders and always on our minds in some
way, shape or form. I think we have all had those moments when it all comes pouring out too, I hope being able to talk about it helped?
Focussing on having some time to enjoy yourself sounds fab and a very sensible idea.
I’m trying to take the approach of TTC running alongside my life rather than being the sole focus. Even silly things like I’ve not been wanting to buy new clothes as I don’t know if I’ll be pregnant, what size I will be etc. so just trying to focus on what is happening right now and take each month as it comes.

xxcxdonxx · 01/11/2023 21:39

Sounds promising @Westy22 but I can appreciate that you don’t want to get your hopes up just yet. Will keep everything crossed for you 🥰

Jadeypie · 01/11/2023 21:56

@Sez281 I think @xxcxdonxx has hit the nail on the head! We really do let it become our sole focus and leave all the little things that can bring us comfort or joy. Like not having that morning coffee because of caffine or all the vitimans and tricks we look for. Not buying cloths or going out with the girls because af isn't due yet because 'just incase' xx

@xxcxdonxx 'ttc running along side mylife instead of the sole focus' this crnt be anymore true! Your so right xx

@Westy22 that's exactly what I thought haha. And your doing well with keeping busy and not being manic poas every hour so well done haha. Still sending positive vibes tho I'm feeling hopeful for you xx

Sez281 · 01/11/2023 21:56

Thanks @xxcxdonxx @Westy22 I think I'm just a bit hormonal to be honest, the 2 periods threw me through a loop a bit and I've been constantly cramping since I finished the last one so even if I hit a peak opk I'm in too much pain to dtd anyway 😣 But yes it is positive that things are moving and hopefully the surgery willl get to the bottom of the pain 🙏

@xxcxdonxx I'm going to try your approach and just take each month as it comes. Luckily I love the run up to Christmas so it will be a nice distraction. Hopefully you get some news about referral soon 🤞 xx

@Westy22 Oh that sounds really promising! I'm in awe of the self control you have not testing yet. I'll be crossing everything for you 🤞 xx

I posted at the same time as you @Jadeypie 😂 But yeah you're dead right. I'm gonna take a leaf out of your book too and start a bit of a health kick so I feel a bit better in myself when I do go out! 💃 🎄 🎅 xx
