Anyone trying for a 3rd child?

We've started 3 cycles ago trying for our 3rd. I'm going to be 41 soon and both me and DH feel exactly the same about this, feels like going for a 3rd is a bit insane, with all the challenges in logistics, but at the same time it feels like we both really want it ❤️ We're sort of going for a leap of faith... is anyone in the same boat?

My DH had to go to Colombia for work when I was in the first trimester with DC1 and we didn’t have sex for the whole rest of the pregnancy as I was so paranoid 🤦‍♀️😬. If you are pregnant now then couldn’t your DH still go on the trip without you? As far as I know (based on my mad research at the time) you can only catch it by getting bitten by a mosquito or through sex, so in theory your DH could go and then abstain from sex until the baby is born/past the point when he could still be infected?

also on the meh feeling…I’m 3dpo today and not feeling anything! Don’t fancy my chances this month as I don’t think we had enough sex at the right times - o-5, o-1 and o+1 or possibly o-2 and o day depending on when I actually ovulated.

Ive always had faint positives at 10dpo in the past and need to test at 11dpo as if I’m not pregnant I need to stop taking the steroids (have to take them for 10 days post ovulation). So only a week to go! I’ll be staying at my mum’s house so not much privacy!

@Rightnow1245 could be both baby and dodgy driver 😜 I'd hold out another few days 🤞

@Ifyouknowyouknowyouknow it's hard to time it all right as you're really guessing until after you've actually ovulated 🤦‍♀️ it sounds like a few of us are at the same stage in their cycle

@HopefullMumto4 LP is usually 8-10 days so short. I think likely the reason behind my MCs.

@HopefullMumto4 I'm so sorry about the bad timing, it sucks, especially if your husband was looking forward to go. On another note, those tests look very positive to me!!! I have absolutely no problem with finding a line, don't even need to squint or invert the image 😁 I'm so excited for you!!! I think we all are! Let us know tomorrow, but I think you're going to get a BFP! ❤

@MacNut good luck with the BBT this month! It's really cool to see the graph forming! For me the worst part is when you start getting towards the end of the cycle and you realise your temp is dropping, which means AF is on it's way!... But I think it's fun anyway and who knows, AF might not show up! 😅

Well I decided to go on an impromptu glamping outing with the kiddos. My DH is working on a personal project so he will be unavailable during the weekend and instead of being annoyed at him and having 2 bored kids, I decided last minute to go on a weekend adventure! Buuut, because on Sunday I'll be on CD24 and I usually have 1 or 2 days of spotting every month, I'm packing pads just in case. I hope I don't have to use them! 🙅

I just got an email from ebay saying my cheapie "One Step" pregnancy tests have been recalled!.... They say they might not be safe or effective?! What the heck?! I've asked the seller for a refund... Any suggestions of where to look for cheap tests to replace these?

@AnaReis also happened this morning feeling sick so I’m feeling more positive that maybe this could be our month.. I said Sunday so going to try and hold off until then.. I’ll be 10dpo and 5 days before af.

@AnaReis Ive been using easy@home this cycle along with one step and the easy at home are slightly thicker so a bit easier to read. But even though they claim to be 10 miu/ml I think it's probably wrong and they are a bit higher

@Rightnow1245 I've woken up feeling a bit travel sick today and the furthest I've travelled is my bed to the sofa. I think 10dpo testing is a great plan!

I just bought some more tests. I just want to make sure I don't go broke with all my testing 😅

easy@home has squinter that kinda looks grey
FRER rapid has a clear line

But this is the one I trust....

I feel awful saying this but it's our first full cycle. I was convinced it would take longer because I'm older and fatter and my husband has been on citalopram for 7 years.

@AnaReis I am not going to test until 10dpo which is Sunday.. when pregnant with my boys I don’t remember getting a BFP before 10dpo x

I’m really hoping this happens to me too 🤣. There’s another thread where people have said how long it took them to fall pregnant at 35+ and it’s very encouraging (to me as a 36 year old!)
