Anyone trying for a 3rd child?

We've started 3 cycles ago trying for our 3rd. I'm going to be 41 soon and both me and DH feel exactly the same about this, feels like going for a 3rd is a bit insane, with all the challenges in logistics, but at the same time it feels like we both really want it ❤️ We're sort of going for a leap of faith... is anyone in the same boat?

@MacNut did you say you were going to test again? Was it with a digital? X

Yes! I did a digi on Friday and got 2-3. It was a 2 pack I got so am planning to do the other one later this week and hoping for a 3+ 🙏 That'll be my last test hopefully!

I'm 5+2 today and I think the nausea might be hitting me 🫣

How is everyone else doing?

@MacNut we are a week and 1 day apart then as premom says I'm 4wk 1 day! . Had u felt sick with other pregnancies ?

@Scotmum256 my app has me at 4 week 1 day too!!! But I'm 15 DPO. I ovulated really late (CD21). I've calculated it based on ovulation and not on LMP. It's confusing me tbh 🤣🤣 my tests aren't dark enough for me to be any further ahead and I got a 1-2 on a digi on Fri (12DPO)

I had a bit of cramping this morning (think I’m 6dpo) - wavering so much and really hope I’ve conceived this cycle so that the decision is out of my hands! My DD (who is nearly 3) told me she wanted a real baby for Christmas at the weekend 💔. I was thinking that if I am pregnant we could probably break the news around Xmas…but clearly a pipe dream at this point!

Ladies, I know you will all understand this and I'm yet to tell my husband....but my lines aren't progressing. No change since 11DPO. I'm 16DPO today and when I look back at photos of tests from DC2 I had dye stealers at 18DPO. And this time they are so faint in comparison This is not looking good 😭

With previous MMC I was getting 2-3 and 3+ on digi even after it was confirmed so I can't trust that either. I will just have to wait for things to happen naturally/get it confirmed at the private scan booked for 7th October xx

I know it's much easier said than done but you shouldn't be stressing about it, it won't be doing you any good.
Just remember if it is meant to be then it will be. Relax a little.
Pls don't take that badly, I just think you're torturing yourself xxx

@WhatTheEll I’m so sorry - I’ve been there. I know there’s basically nothing that anyone can say to make you feel better or stop worrying. Fwiw I had very faint lines with DC2 until I just stopped testing. I also had a massive bleed with her at 9 weeks - literally blood gushing out everywhere - and all was totally fine, so you really really can’t tell at this point.

It’s great you’ve got a scan booked and that will give you answers, so I’d say just stop testing for now and try to put it out of your mind as much as possible (easy to say, so hard to do). Will be thinking of you 😘

Im 7dpo and have had no more cramping. I do not feel pregnant! Had some quite shocking news at work yesterday to do with the senior management team which could have big impact on my career so really uncertain again about what is for the best. I’m testing on Saturday so not too long now.

I did another digi this morning and it's still 2-3 at 5+3. I know they're not super reliable so am trying not to worry either but it's hard. I had planned to do it at the weekend and now wish I'd been more patient and waited 😣

@WhatTheEll we are exact same point like I said yesterday so please try to relax as much as you can. I done another test and was faint and I'm going to leave it a week probably. Its still so early so needs time to build hormone. Try not worry yourself and def stay away from digital I don't trust them as I tested with my last pregnsncy and got two different readings on same day. Don't trust them. Better seeing the line go darker on dye test . I'll probably leave it 3 or 4 days and test again and maybe u should do the same and I'm sure u will see it darker. Xx

@WhatTheEll I'm sorry, nothing me or anyone says will make it any easier. The only thing which I regret when this happened to me was waiting things out. I wish I'd pushed for more scans to check things sooner as I knew in my gut it wasn't ok and as it turned out for me waiting wasn't good and I needed surgery but that was only me. This was only my experience.
All I would suggest is try to go with your gut, it's usually right and push for whatever feels right at the time.

Saying all that, with this current pregnancy my line progression was also a bit off early on, but once scans could see more they confirmed things were ok and things are apparently on track.

@Twocatstwodogs so glad it's all going well for you now! I have an early scan booked when I'll be 6+6 so will definitely get my answers then. I've been in your position before (not surgery thankfully) and do trust my gut. Sorry you went through that. I've had no bleeding so that is a positive. All my other pregnancies have started with spotting/bleeding, to the point I thought it was period.....nothing this time! Wondering if that's a good or a bad thing in my case x

I think it’s so hard to know @WhatTheEll . I’ve had 4 mcs and 2 successful
pregnancies and all were different!

Id echo what @Twocatstwodogs says about pushing for answers, as soon as you can reach the point where you can get them! You know your dates so by 6+6 you should be able to see a heartbeat - I think your scan is well timed.

With my 2 mmcs things didn’t progress beyond about 5/6 weeks so when I had scans at 7 weeks ish they said my dates were poss a little out/ were actively encouraging a wait and see approach. But I knew that it was bad news and went for MVAs both times to get some closure and move on. My others were natural but happened earlier.

It’s way too early to call for you right now though so please try to stay positive! This whole thing is a complete rollercoaster.

@Ifyouknowyouknowyouknow oh 🫂 it's devastating when your little ones start asking you about it. I remember when we had DD and she was an only child and about 3/4 at the time and we were struggling TTC and had had 3 MCs. DH picked her up from nursery and he was crying, apparently she had a wobble in the car about how her friends all have siblings at home and she doesn't and it really got to DH (he never cries!)
Fingers crossed the cramping is implantation for you, I had similar at 6dpo a few days ago I'm 9dpo now. Woke up early hours of this morning being violently sick. DH came in hopeful this could be a pregnancy sign but I'm 99.9% sure it's something I've eaten or a bug as still feel dreadful now and can't keep anything down accompanied by a migraine so pretty certain I'm out. May test on Sunday if no AF

I'm so sorry @WhatTheEll that area of purgatory is the worst. I agree with @Ifyouknowyouknowyouknow I've had 3 MCs, 2 babies and all very different so it's hard to know. Thinking of you

@HappyValleyFan1 so sorry to hear you’re not well - I had very similar last cycle. It doesn’t sound like a pregnancy symptom to me but also does not mean that you’re out at all! I admire your restraint in waiting to sunday to test!

After saying I didn’t feel pregnant I had a couple of spots of blood when I wiped yesterday which I’ve only ever had when pregnant. And then extreme cramps in the eve/overnight. Starting to feel both hopeful and terrified! I’m 8dpo today and will test on Friday at 10dpo. Checked in boots yesterday and still no flipping FRERs! Has anyone bought one in an actual shop recently?

@Ifyouknowyouknowyouknow I haven't bought a FRER in shops but the Boots Early Detection (pink dye) are a good alternative. I got an obvious line on at 10dpo.

Hello I posted earlier in the thread about possibly trying for our third and final soon. This is my fourth day of getting high fertility on a CB test. If I don't get pregnant this month then we will wait until after Christmas. I am the carrier of a genetic disorder which affects boys so it's a bit stressful for us and lots of anxiety. Obviously we can't afford to have private PGD.
