We've started 3 cycles ago trying for our 3rd. I'm going to be 41 soon and both me and DH feel exactly the same about this, feels like going for a 3rd is a bit insane, with all the challenges in logistics, but at the same time it feels like we both really want it ❤️ We're sort of going for a leap of faith... is anyone in the same boat?

Last photo from me I promise!!

@MacNut I've worked out in about 3.5 weeks based on ovulation, which makes more sense actually seeing I ovulated so late. So EDD is 26th May ♥️🥳

We're still very close though!!

Congrats! No better feeling than seeing this is there!!

Last cycle I saw a car reg AFF and thought, I hope this isn't a sign. Was walking with my boys this morning and saw the reg BFP!! lm not hugely superstitious but I'll take it. Pls let this be my month 😂

AnaReis · 16/09/2023 12:56

@WhatTheEll oh that digi is just so satisfying to see! 😍

@happytobemrsg yeeaah same here!... CD24... time is dragging...

I hope I get super relaxed during my hols and get extra fertile xD

So it seems like my body is listening to me 😍 my period just showed up! It was a 23 day cycle, so quite short compared with my usual cycles, but I'm really happy 😁
Because I was alone with both kids for more than 2 weeks my low carb diet went out the window, as you can imagine. I was in survival mode, eating the kids leftovers, trying to spend as little time as possible cooking and cleaning up after!... 🥴 My weight reflected those 2 weeks! 🙄 And maybe this is why this cycle was so tiny. Anyway, this means that the period will only last the first days of the holidays, so can't complain! 😁 Let's hope I ovulate early too so we can enjoy DTD during the hols 😅 and now back on track with low carb! Let's do this! 💪🏻💪🏻💪🏻

I’m sorry to hear that @AnaReis but like you said onto the next cycle 🥰

would like some advice I had some cramping on 8dpo and I’m not 10dpo and haven’t tested yet.. do you think I should hold off another few days or do you all think if I use a FRER I could get a BFP if I’m pregnant.. I only have one left x

Rightnow1245 · 16/09/2023 20:02
  • I am now 10dpo

I think at 10 DPO you might get something, but if you don't want to spend that one save it and use it in 2 days or so... Either that or go crazy with IC tests like I do 😅

Sorry AF has shown up @AnaReis but loving your positive attitude!

@Rightnow1245 you could get a line on a FRER but equally you could get a negative and it turn positive in a few days. So depends if you're willing to ride that rollercoaster. Everything crossed for you 🙏🙏

Rightnow1245 · 16/09/2023 21:41

I mean it’s say up to 6 days before period is due for a FRER and I’ll be 4 days before so I guess it will be pretty accurate but also hear lots of stories about people getting super later BFP 🤔
I will use it tomorrow I’ve decided I’ll post tomorrow and let you all know x

happytobemrsg · 16/09/2023 21:55

I haven’t bought ANY tests for when we start TTC next month. We wasn’t TTC with DS2 - I ovulated super early after a chemical the month before). I hadn’t even realised AF was late! I just randomly found a FRER stick in the draw so I peed on it 😂 line came up so fast! I wonder if I can be that relaxed this time…..

GinAndBearIt90 · 17/09/2023 04:27

Just checking in on a night feed - congrats to all the new BFPs!!

I definitely don't think 2 days after peak is too late - that's the only day we DTD the cycle we conceived this pregnancy so it has to have worked 🙈

I'm about 10 weeks now, have had about 5 very rough weeks of 24/7 nausea and just starting to come out the other side of it now. Not easy at all with two little ones but thankfully my husband has really stepped up this time! Really hoping this pregnancy goes well so that I can celebrate never having morning sickness again!!! Haven't had a scan yet but my 12 week scan is on 2nd Oct - can't wait! Also have the twin fear, for no reason other than it would just be typical that my last baby ends up being 2 😆 really hoping there's just 1 in there! The sickness has gone on longer than my previous 2 but maybe that's just because I'm another couple of years older or maybe it's a girl this time 🤷‍♀️

Ifyouknowyouknowyouknow · 17/09/2023 07:37

Ah @GinAndBearIt90 that all sounds great (other than the morning sickness…🤞🏻It stops soon!) Do you have 2 boys atm? Are you going to find out the sex this time?

i think dtd 2 days after peak opk is good timing - as I think you get the peak 24-48 hours before you ovulate! But 2 days after ovulation itself would be too late.

I think I’m 5dpo today but didn’t track properly this cycle so that’s really based on an assumption it’s same as last cycle which kind of matched up to my opks. Feel absolutely nothing so far but I don’t think that means anything at this point!

Im so bad at keeping track and many more on the thread now - is anyone at a similar cycle stage to me?

@AnaReis sorry about AF but very glad you’re feeling positive - onwards and upwards!

Ifyouknowyouknowyouknow · 17/09/2023 07:38

Good luck @Rightnow1245!

AFeastForCrows · 17/09/2023 07:46

Think AF is finally on her way 5 days late. I was crushed at first but now feeling better, glad she’s finally here so we can crack on with cycle 8! Even feeling a bit ‘what will be’ about it all, we’ve had a busy weekend with DC and part of me thinks if it’s meant for us then it will happen 💫

Rightnow1245 · 17/09/2023 07:54

So tested this morning on a FRER and got a BFN :( pretty gutted as I’m 11dpo so I should really have a positive if I was pregnant.. I mean there’s a chance but I’m not feeling hopeful tbh :(.

mamamason · 17/09/2023 08:07

@Rightnow1245 I didn't get positive FRER's with both of my boys until 13dpo. May have implanted late or ovulated a day later than you though

Rightnow1245 · 17/09/2023 08:57

I hope I’m the same as you @mamamason I think I’m just more gutted as my OH said he doesn’t think we should carry on trying :(
I think I got my ovulation day right but you’re right implantation could of happened a few days later… I did have really bad cramps at 8dpo which I thought was implantation but I think if it was I would of got a BFP by now? 3 days later?

HappyValleyFan1 · 17/09/2023 15:50

Fingers crossed for you @AnaReis it's much easier when on holiday!

I think you can forgive yourself, it's hard to stay on track when on your own and you're literally doing everything. I weighed this morning and back at my lowest adult weight 16month PP so feeling pleased and also, why do I want to do this again 😂

@Ifyouknowyouknowyouknow I'm 7dpo so we're pretty close, feeling absolutely nothing too bad some right pelvic cramping yesterday

@Rightnow1245 sorry on the BFN, it's not too late though at this stage 🫂

Scotmum256 · 17/09/2023 17:12

Hi ladies! Looking for line eyes..9dpo and took clearblue test not the 6 day early just the normal one as its all the shop had. I took it apart to take a picture as camera wasn't capturing the line when test was together ... what do yous think?

Anyone trying for a 3rd child?
Ifyouknowyouknowyouknow · 17/09/2023 22:12

@Scotmum256 I can see a line! Did it come up within the time window?

I had a false positive/evap with clear blue last cycle (the early testing one) - a thick blue line that came up after the window - so I have absolutely zero faith in them now.

Can you get a pink dye test tomorrow? Ideally you’d wait til 11dpo but it’s pretty impossible!

I was just getting ready for bed and feel like my nipples/areolas look darker/swollen…but also think it’s too early to even symptom spot so wondering whether I’m imagining it!

@HappyValleyFan1 cramping sounds hopeful???

I can definitely see a line! Although, some cycles ago I did a CB, those where it appears a plus sign if positive, and saw it after the viewing window and it had a line! But it was an evap. If it was within the time frame then it might be a positive! 😁

So done another two tests this morning clearblue was 6 day before test and came up instantly. Red dye one wasn't as sensitive but I can see it still I think

Anyone trying for a 3rd child?
MacNut · 18/09/2023 09:49

They look positive, @Scotmum256! Congratulations 🥳

The pink test strip looks flooded but I can see a line anyway. Once it settles it might be clearer. Either way I think you've got a BFP!

Ifyouknowyouknowyouknow · 18/09/2023 09:56

Woohoo @Scotmum256 that looks like
a BFP to me - congratulations!

Scotmum256 · 18/09/2023 10:10

@MacNut it was still drying I took the picture about 1 min after result cause I was in shock haha. It dried and was there although light but darker than yesterday's. Havr another 2 I'll do with morning pee tomorrow and hopefully is darker but I am taking the clearblue early one as a positive as it was instantly a line and well within the time.

WhatTheEll · 18/09/2023 10:19

Congrats @Scotmum256 🥳🥳🥳 CB is actually quite a strong line for 10DPO XX
