Page 25 | Anyone trying for a 3rd child?

We've started 3 cycles ago trying for our 3rd. I'm going to be 41 soon and both me and DH feel exactly the same about this, feels like going for a 3rd is a bit insane, with all the challenges in logistics, but at the same time it feels like we both really want it ❤️ We're sort of going for a leap of faith... is anyone in the same boat?

I'll share a pic of my vvvvvfl I got on easy@home. I don't think it's even visible in the photo but was a squinter to the naked eye. The next day it was much easier to see

Also, on birthdays and planning... both my DDs are June 🫣 My sister and I are also
June! And all going well with this pregnancy, this baby will be May... which makes a nice change 😅

We'll see what tomorrow brings (if I don't test again today haha!)

Hello. Sorry I haven't posted but just wanted to come on and give u guys some baby dust. I have no idea when I ovulate as none of the tests picked it up. I tested on cycle day 28 and got a negative. Then on day 29 had some spotting which I now belive to be implantation bleeding. Held out testing until cycle day 32 for me and got my BFP. I only had one period between stopping my pill and this. Hope u ladies are all getting on OK. Haven't told the husband yet as I'm on night shifts for a few more days.

I dont know how I've not told him yet and managed to keep it to myself. It's madness being on nights and knowing. Be worth it thought to see his face when I tell him in person rather than over the phone.
I felt for sure AF was arriving on Thursday last week but turned out to be implantation bleeding and I couldn't bring myself to test too soon so left it until Monday morning. I'm not sure they will be able to date my pregnancy accurately but I absolutely don't care. Lol. I am just going to be putting on a brave face until the 12 weeks scan and even then until the 20 week scan as I've had bad news before. Just trying to keep positive and try not think about statistics for a few weeks. Please keep everything crossed for me, as I will do for u all if your not there yet x

I also think that kids massively benefit from having an older sibling and that helps them seem a bit more mature whenever they are born. My DC2 is so much more grown up seeming than DC1 (poss also because she’s a girl?!).

Glad your DH is back @AnaReis! are you sure you missed your fw?

We dtd last night at cd 15 which I think is o-1. Given up on opks so it’s just a total guess at this point that today is o day! Will see if we can go again tonight and then I’ll feel like we’ve given it a proper try this cycle.

Is anyone testing soon?

Yeah, I think I ovulated around the 15th, my nipples got sore and EWFM disappeared.
Not to worry, there's always a new cycle after AF 😅

So...after doing the test yesterday, I went back to it hours later and could see the squintiest of squinter. Obviously it was way past the timeframe so not reliable. Did another one straight away and the squinter was there within minutes but still suuuuuper faint and not visible in photos. Spent all evening googling evaps etc...

Decided to wait until this morning and do another one... I don't even think they're squinters?!

First photo is today, second photo was yesterday's. I'm 9/10 DPO today

Me again.....looks like squintiest of squinters this morning. 10DPO. I'm really not convinced. In fact I'm convinced it's going south because I've had very noticeable groin aches/cramps/twinges since Monday on both sides. I've never had this before so early which leads me to think it's maybe a chemical

I’m a little late to this but I’m 36 TTC #3. I have two DD aged 11 and 8 and we’ve been trying for over a year. I conceived my first two with no difficulties and have PCOS and endo. We waited a while as weren’t sure if #3 was a good idea/ I retrained for work etc. now I worry we’ve left it too late. I use Ov sticks and ovulate most months , have tried various supplements and preseed and this week have reached out to GP for a support with it. this month I really felt it was the month, I broke out on 9dpo, cramps from 8dpo, but then from 9dpo have had cramps and brown spotting which is normal for me Pre af, currently 11/12 dpo period due tomorrow but definitely on the the way and I feel really dejected 😞 I haven’t really let myself feel sad about it as I’m so grateful to have my two and to have no had those difficulties with them, so I haven’t spoken to any friends for this reason but each month that goes on hurts more and more, I think this month is cycle 14

Ah @WhatTheEll i told you to wait until tomorrow! Hcg takes 48 hours to double at this point and at 9dpo-10dpo it will be at such low levels it is so hard to see good progression. Stay strong!

It took us 18 months to conceive #2 so I've felt everything you're feeling. The month we conceived I used a fertility cup. You pop it in after sex and it holds everything up there. It's called FERTI-LILY (on Amazon) not expensive. Worked for us! Good luck 🤞🏻

Welcome @Lemonyfire and sorry that it’s been tough for you so far! Have you heard of inofolic? It’s a supplement aimed at people with PCOS. (I don’t have pcos but I have hypothyroidism and it was recommended to me by my recurrent miscarriage specialist). Anyway it apparently works absolute wonders on people with pcos and can restore normal ovulation within a few months - could be worth a try?

Im also 36 and though I conceived DCs 1 and 2 when I was 30 and 33 I really feel soooo much older now and suspect I’m less fertile based purely on EWCM. Loads of people conceive well into their 40s though - my NCT friend just had baby 3 at 43, dc 1 was when she was 38 and dc2 at 40!

Thank you so much, I take inositol which I think has helped regulate everything, I just have had it years but it was only diagnosed last year( borderline) I also have hypothyroidism but was diagnosed 10 years ago so I think that one is well managed but with the combination of the three I think I was very lucky with my first two

Going to bring our TTC date forward a month so end of September/ start of October. Feeling very real now! Enjoying conversations with DH about baby names, ignoring the fact that we don’t have a big enough car & trying not to freak out 😅

Can I ask - are you all BD every other day during your fertile window, every day, from the last day of your period onwards, or something else? It’s been a while since I had to plan 😳

@happytobemrsg exciting! I did every other day during fw this cycle, mainly because one of the nights I had to work really late so was exhausted! I think I did o-5, o-3 and o-1. I think ideally I’d have squeezed one more go in there but never mind.

Ive conceived accidentally twice, and one of the times we had only had sex 5 or 6 days before ovulation, so it really does just take the once!
