Anyone trying for a 3rd child?

We've started 3 cycles ago trying for our 3rd. I'm going to be 41 soon and both me and DH feel exactly the same about this, feels like going for a 3rd is a bit insane, with all the challenges in logistics, but at the same time it feels like we both really want it ❤️ We're sort of going for a leap of faith... is anyone in the same boat?

@MacNut @Maybebaby54321 @Clettercletterthatsbetter maybe it wouldn't be so crazy then, I don't really want to put it off anymore waiting, I suppose you can never predict the right time can you!

@Twocatstwodogs is that positive tests from today/this cycle? Amazing if so!! Sorry think I've missed some posts.

Sorry to those who have had AF show up. Hopefully a new fresh cycle brings better results soon :)

AnaReis · 24/08/2023 22:47

@CoffeePlease89 I wouldn't worry about the birthdays being close together, you can always tell your youngest that the baby is the best birthday present anyone could ever wish for! 😊 I say that my daughter was the best birthday present I ever had in my life as she was born 10 days before my birthday ❤

@Maybebaby54321 that's funny, my eldest (8) was born on the 4th of October and my youngest (3) was born on the 2nd of January! 😁close dates to your 1st 2 littles! My youngest let us rest and recover from the New Years Eve and then decided to make an appearance 😅
The first time I went out kid free it was the weirdest feeling, as if I had forgotten something or something was missing! 😅

@Ifyouknowyouknowyouknow oh I'm anxiously excited for you! If you were close to me I would definitely bring you some IC 😅wishing you all the luck and baby dust! 🍀(I really hope it isn't an evap, because if it is I'm never buying a CB dye test again 😤)

@AnaReis That's mad!!!! I wish ours had let me rest after New years!!! She decided to take just over 48 hours to make her appearance on the third! My labour with her started on new years day!!!

Twocatstwodogs · 25/08/2023 07:09

@Ifyouknowyouknowyouknow - sorry probably confusing everyone, yes that is my test this time around on July 30th which was around 30/31dpo I'm now 7 weeks+ pregnant and have had a scan and it's there, so it can definitely be a real positive with a CB, my guess is that you are positive as mine looked very similar.

@CoffeePlease89 sorry yes that's from July, I'm 7 weeks + now, I was showing my CB test which looked very similar to @Ifyouknowyouknowyouknow and I was pregnant. Also I totally agree with the birthdays, don't worry about it, I'm Boxing Day, DH is new years day, other family is Xmas day, basically they're so random and all have pros and cons I'd say. Go for it!!

@Maybebaby54321 @AnaReis Where do you put stuff without a pram, can't picture it 😂

Maybebaby54321 · 25/08/2023 07:15

Congratulations @Twocatstwodogs 💕

I don't know where I would put anything without a pram, I've used one for the past 12 years almost!!!! One of the many reasons I hope I conceive soon as my little one is 2 1/2 and a great walker!!!

Well with my 1st I'd carry around a backpack, but with my 2nd I always had the buggy because my eldest still loved napping in there! 😊 And my 2nd loves walking, my 1st not so much 😅

BFN this morning on my shitty CB!

AF is due on Sunday (this is CD28) and I’m 11dpo. I’ve always had a faint line on FRERs at this stage before so pretty sure I am out. Really annoying!

CoffeePlease89 · 25/08/2023 09:19

@Twocatstwodogs ah congrats, 7 weeks! How lovely. Wishing you a smooth pregnancy.

@AnaReis yes I carry back packs as well and hold their hands, I can't wait for them to be holding onto the pram instead.

@Ifyouknowyouknowyouknow please don't count yourself out just yet, as we all say not until AF actually shows up, sending positive vibes your way.

Well girls I'm either 3-5 days dpo and last night I had lots of little tightenings/bubbling in there.
I also had such a cruel dream where I got a BFP and then I woke up, felt soo upset it was a dream lol!

MacNut · 25/08/2023 10:43

@Ifyouknowyouknowyouknow I got a BFN at 12dpo with DD2 then got a BFP 14dpo. I'm always amazed when people test positive earlier than that but I think everyone (& probably every pregnancy is so different!). Still keeping my fingers crossed for you 🤞

I'm CD11 now... doing daily BBT, CB digi OPKs and IC OPKs 😂 we're also both taking vitamins... Throwing everything at it this month. I got the solid smiley on CB OPK last month on CD12 so will see if this cycle is the same and if BBT backs it up 🧐

Twocatstwodogs · 25/08/2023 11:14

Thank you ladies, I had an mc in April around now and trying not to panic too much at the moment and keeping fingers crossed.

@Ifyouknowyouknowyouknow I'd say the same, not out until AF shows up, still very possible to come up positive now but I get it if it's easier to count yourself out in your head.

Maybebaby54321 · 25/08/2023 11:38

@Ifyouknowyouknowyouknow I didn't get a bfp with one of mine until 14dpo, stark whites before then. Dont give up hope just yet 💕

Maybebaby54321 · 25/08/2023 11:40

@Twocatstwodogs my baby wearing is primarily in the house so I can multitask as I need my pram for carrying a million things and for bigger girls to hold!!!

Twocatstwodogs · 25/08/2023 14:36

@Maybebaby54321 absolutely! I'd love to still wear my nearly 18 month old but he's a tank and so heavy! My nearly 3yr old is much easier to carry

Maybebaby54321 · 25/08/2023 15:08

Yes I found that too!!!!!

Ifyouknowyouknowyouknow · 25/08/2023 16:01

I always test positive early so am sure I’m out now, and don’t feel pregnant either.

Am going to console myself with a lot of junk food and then make a plan for being super healthy and positive for next cycle!

I already take high dose vitamin D, COQ10 and inofolic and usually eat v few carbs/sugar. Does anyone else have any tips? I’ve kind of got that back to school feeling now which feels weirdly positive.

I posted previously (a while back on this thread) about a fertility cup. It's called FERTI-LILY; you can get it on Amazon. DTD then pop the cup in and you can walk around etc with it in for up to an hour and it holds everything up there!

We were TTC for 18 months with my 2nd and first cycle using the cup, I fell pregnant.
I too do low carb/sugar (basically keto) 80/90% of the time 😬

I'm CD12 today and not even a hint of correct CF or peak OPK. I'm using IC from here out because I refused to get obsessed like I did last time. So I'm not even taking BBT or anything really..... (this could all change of course! 🤣)

Twocatstwodogs · 26/08/2023 06:34

@WhatTheEll interesting, never heard of it but will tell others I know who are TTC, good to know

AnaReis · 26/08/2023 10:47

@Ifyouknowyouknowyouknow @WhatTheEll I'm also doing low carb/keto! 😃🙌 I've read it's super beneficial for fertility. You know what's interesting? When I have months where for one reason or the other I ended up eating too much junk food or carbs I have shorter cycles, but on the ones when I've been able to be more careful with what I eat the cycles tend to be +27 days.

OP posts:
AnaReis · 26/08/2023 10:49

Oh and also in terms of general health, when I eat whatever I get horrible dyshidrotic eczema on my hands, if I'm careful my hands get absolutely no eczema what so ever. The same with acne!

Maybebaby54321 · 26/08/2023 11:02

I also do low carb/keto although I'm not great but my mum who has type 2 diabetes is full keto for the past 4 years and doesn't have to take any medication for diabetes any more. If I didn't like cake so much I'd be better at it!!!

MacNut · 26/08/2023 15:09

Any sign of a + OPK now, @WhatTheEll? I'm CD12 now and have got a peak reading on the ICs. My CB digital test thing died this morning 🙄 But luckily I had the ICs. This is also the same day as last cycle I got a peak. So it's all go on DTD... I'm intrigued to see if I get a rise on BBT too tomorrow

How's everyone else doing?

Anyone trying for a 3rd child?

Very interesting! I'm intrigued by this because my cycles and especially leutal phases have been very short in the passed. Sometimes 23/24/25 day cycles. This is my first cycle back PP so will be interesting to see!

Yours are looking good!! 🤞🏻

No sign here. CD 13 and still very faint line on IC (I'm not even recording it). But I'm hoping this is a good sign for a longer cycle. I have been known to peak in CD15 so could all start to change tomorrow...

Ifyouknowyouknowyouknow · 26/08/2023 15:36

CD29 here and AF due tomorrow. I don’t feel pregnant but also don’t feel like AF is imminent as would usually have cramps today so no idea what is going on. Really hope the steroids haven’t delayed my period as just want to crack on now with the next cycle.

We are finally on our way back from holiday and I’m looking forward to being home!
