Anyone trying for a 3rd child?

We've started 3 cycles ago trying for our 3rd. I'm going to be 41 soon and both me and DH feel exactly the same about this, feels like going for a 3rd is a bit insane, with all the challenges in logistics, but at the same time it feels like we both really want it ❤️ We're sort of going for a leap of faith... is anyone in the same boat?

@Clarity16 welcome and so sorry to hear of your ectopic. I have a long MC history and it's utterly devastating. I hope you're feel ok now both physically and mentally 🫂

8dpo here, feel terribly nauseous and couldn't stomach my tea this morning but I've had this my last few cycles at this stage too. CD30 so I'd expect AF to be here by Thursday. Is anyone close to testing?

@HappyValleyFan1 we’re very similar! I’m 7dpo today and planning to test on Friday at 11dpo.

Im only supposed to take my meds for 10 days (unless I conceive) so need to test that day and then stop the meds if bfn. I’ve always had faint positives at 10dpo in the past so Thursday will be tempting, but I’m on holiday and couldn’t get hold of any FRERs before I left so only have clear blues, which I don’t trust as much!

I woke up quite crampy yesterday and today which is usually quite a hopeful sign for me at this stage, but could equally all be in my head!

Keeping my fingers crossed for those of you close to testing 🤞

I'm only on CD7 so right at the start. Doing SMEP this cycle though so the fun begins tomorrow 😂

Did another test today still bfn on IC I have ordered a FRER it’s coming today but starting to feel like I’m out.. I know this is still bedside 11dpo is still early but with my last 2 pregnancy I got a positive at 10dpo

I'm on CD25, 10DPO, no signs of AF. Had mild cramps in the morning and thought it was AF but haven't had any bleeding or spotting. Some cycles I have 1 or 2 days of spotting before AF, some cycles I don't, so still a waiting game. As you know I'm incapable of waiting so I've been doing IC tests lols This morning I thought I'd seen a very faint line so I got a Boots test that I had and tried it. Can't see any lines in it lol My BBT did raise a bit today, but who knows what that means 🤷🏻 Oh well still waiting!..

We're also TTC baby nr 3, but don't do ovulation tracking or anything. I don't know what half the abbreviations mean, so will have to google :)

Our first two were conceived easily, so I don't understand the issue! I mean I know it can sometimes be harder and we haven't been trying all that long, you hear all the stories but its different when you're the one struggling. Then it feels like forever!

I got my period back after birth and breastfeeding 4-5 months ago and still nothing. My be I should start tracking ovulation.

Anyway lovely to hear of other ladies also wanting more than 2!

The abbreviations can be confusing, its like a different language! 😅 Maybe this might help www.babycenter.com/community-help-abbreviations

Tracking ovulation might help you pinpoint when you're most fertile and help you time sex accordingly. You can use OPK tests and/or track your BBT (which is what I'm doing). It's also helpful to monitor your fertile mucous and when you feel your libido increasing (I always feel a very high libido when I'm on my fertile window 😁).

If you want a good book about this I suggest Taking Charge of Your Fertility by Toni Weshler. It's really good!

I feel absolutely knackered.... Not sure if this means something... I remember it was one of my first symptoms with my other two... Is it OK to drink coffee in the beggining of the pregnancy, just in case? I'm a total zombie! 🥴

Ooh yes very similar @Ifyouknowyouknowyouknow I suppose with the meds deadline you can hopefully hold out until Friday and good to be distracted on holiday! I think I'll test Friday too if no AF, I only have some cheapies and AF is due Thursday at the latest so hopefully it will be a certain yes or no by Friday

@AnaReis I'm feeling pretty zonked too but it is school holidays and the toddler is a real handful at the moment. Took them to a farm park this morning and could easily have a nap myself now 😴 also we've run out of coffee 🙃 totally ok to have coffee when pregnant in moderation

👋 hi all, hoping I can pop on this thread, never ever thought I'd be on this one tbh.
I have been battling mentally on whether or not to go for a 3rd for the last 2 years. Its been a very emotional roller coaster, my anxiety through the roof.

But something happened this month where I just told DP not to "pull out" (it's annoyingly worked so well for 4 years) and now I'm anxiously waiting and hoping I don't have a panic attack if it's worked!

I couldn't help but shake the feeling of one more, I feel like someone is missing in the photos, at the dinner table etc. But now the age gap is so big because I was so worried about it all, my children are 7 and just turned 5, and I am 33.

Anyway good luck to you all, I'm deep down really hoping I am, and I'm pushing all the intrusive thoughts telling me I'm stupid for doing this out and going with my intuition!

Yeah I'm normally pretty good at knowing roughly when I ovulate, definitely increased libido and cervical mucus changes. And we just have pretty frequent intimacy so I don't see how we could miss it even if I didn't know when I ovulate.
But I'm going to read up a bit more and try different techniques because it doesn't seem to be the one month wonder as woth the other 2

It's nice to not feel so alone when I see others on here have the same feelings. I'm dreading what others might think as I have a DD and DS, I'll get the "surely not" and "why would she do that" and just imagining that makes me feel like I'm such a bad person for doing this.

Anyway, first day of my last period was 5th August, so the weekend just gone would be day 14 and I did have EWCD and I'm pretty intune with my body.
We DTD both Sat & Sun, so I'm around 2DPO.. long wait to go LOL.

Yes you're right, tbh it's my anxiety I suffer terribly with it and I'm working on that with therapy, yoga etc.

Ooo you're a bit further than me then how exciting, not long to go until you can test. I actually had implantation bleeding with all 3 of my pregnancies (miscarried 1st one), around day 9, and got a faint positive a few days after that.

In my pregnancies I had nothing with my 1s, except for feeling a bit tired and maybe bloated (which I always am with AF anyway). With my 2nd I had implantation bleeding and felt like I hadn't slept in a week lol the dreadful nausea and vomiting only started at 6 weeks. Whenever I think about that I wonder why I want to put myself through that again 😅

@AnaReis how are you - have you tested today?

Im 8dpo today and don’t feel pregnant at all, so quite impatient to get through the next few days and on to the next cycle!

I sometimes worry about the world I’m bringing my kids into and the environmental consequences of another. But my siblings are all single and won’t have children and I want my kids to have a family to support them in future. Financially it also seems a bit crazy but we can afford it so we are going for it.

I thought I felt a bit of nipple pain in the morning when my little one was breastfeeding, but it might be just sensitivity... Other than that I think I'm sort of... normal? 🤔

I'm on CD26, 11DPO, BBT still high, tested with another cheapie and negative, white as a sheet... No signs of AF yet but a bit of cramping here and there... might be AF preparing to make an appearance though... 🤷🏻

When is your AF due @AnaReis and when do you normally test positive? It’s so hard to tell in the run up to AF as so many overlapping symptoms! I really feel completely normal now.

Had a day of creamy EWCM at 6dpo but now nothing at 8dpo, and can’t remember either what normally happens pre-AF or what happened in my previous pregnancies!

My cycles mostly have been between 25 and 27 days, although I sometimes have longer cycles. My previous cycle was 25 days, but the one before that (when I thought I was pregnant), was 29 days, it came on the day I flew to Portugal to really start my hols in an amazing way 😑

With both kiddos I only tested positive on 13DPO. I remember with my daughter I had a faint positive on a cheapie the day before at night.

It's funny but yesterday both me and my daughter had dreams where I was pregnant lol

I'm having spotting... I'm almost sure AF will show up later today or tomorrow 🙄
