Hi all!
My body has begun a new cycle in its quest to torture me with cycles that are getting a day longer at a time 😅 so I thought I'd see if anyone wants to join me in BBT charting this month!

DH and I are currently TTC #1, we started in June so are on CD1 of cycle #3 now and I wanted to start doing something a bit more to track without feeling like I'm constantly peeing on some kind of stick 😂 I've previously tried charting in April and May to prevent pregnancy but I hadn't quite got the hang of it yet so the charts were a bit all over the place. My chart since restarting BBT on Sunday already seems a lot more stable than it was last time so hopefully it'll give me some more info this time!

Please feel free to say hi below and introduce yourselves 😊 looking for as many friends as possible in this crazy world of TTC 💕

@Hotmalibu94 yep I think I'm going to be a sudden peaker 😂

I'm glad to hear your bleeding has stopped. I had a couple of days of random spotting after my af finished too... maybe there's something in the water? 🤷🏽‍♀️ x

Hotmalibu94 · 05/08/2023 09:08

@thejollytrolleydolly so bizarre isn't it 🤣 I was absolutely humbled yesterday - said to DH I had been convinced I knew my body so well until we started TTC 🤣 now I have no clue what's going on ever 🥲

@Hotmalibu94 well I'm normally really in tune with my body but this cycle has just turned everything upside down! I'm so glad I'm booked in for tests this month 😅 but just watch they will be like "everything is fine" and I'll be even more flabbergasted 😂😂 xx

Hotmalibu94 · 05/08/2023 09:25

Well hopefully everything is fine @thejollytrolleydolly but yeah would be a bit like WTF wouldn't it 🤣

Morning everyone!
How are you all doing?

@Hotmalibu94 According to my app im not due to ovulate till next Saturday but should be in the fertile window from Tuesday.
Me and the hubby went on a quick date last night and ended up dtd lol. I said to him we will be doing it alot over the next week.
Whats everyones plans with BD? I was thinking every other day but not sure if that will be enough or if I should aim for it everyday in the fertile window 🙈

Hotmalibu94 · 05/08/2023 09:55

@Huriya I'm thinking every two days til Tuesday, and then tuesday-thursday to hopefully cover us well! But might end up being every other day for us, we will see! Don't want it to become a chore 🥲

Myna13 · 05/08/2023 09:57

@Hotmalibu94 thanks for asking!
I'm okay this morning. Last day of AF was Thursday. I've been BBT and I have no idea if I'm doing it right. Need to an OPK today to figure out my baseline. Never done this before either so lots of learning to do this cycle. This time we're aiming to BD every day or atleast every other day for however long / until a few days into the TWW to make sure we've covered every possible chance of early or late ovulation. But since this is the plan.. I'm wondering why I'm even using OPKs 😂 I think I just want to have every possible base covered this month.
@thejollytrolleydolly I've taken your advice and have started feeling my cervix as well so I can hopefully start to read it better in the next few weeks/months.

Hotmalibu94 · 05/08/2023 10:02

@Myna13 good to do both to cover your bases and then maybe once you have BBT/OPK figured out you can relax a little more on the BD I guess!
DH thought I was getting myself a bit stressed over it and I had to explain to him that we'd been DTD at the wrong time for two months 🥲 but also that I find it interesting and I'm not exactly stressed by it, just wanting to confirm things are happening when I think they are in future!

@Hotmalibu94 morning! All good here, just keeping up BBT and opks, fertile window due to start in 5 days next Thursday so I think I’ll be the same and trying every other day and hopefully 3 days in a row around ovulation day, hopefully I see the peak otherwise gonna go with what the app says and how I feel.

hopefully this time around we all get lucky but if not at least we’ll have more data to go by especially since I had none before this 😊

Indeed where is the British summer this year? Apart from one week of heat wave that was it I feel like. Hopefully more good weather to come, even on our wedding day it rained all day long apart from 1-1:30 at the wedding time which was a blessing at least but we rushed to take group pictures and run! 😂

Myna13 · 05/08/2023 10:04

@Hotmalibu94 hehe my husband also thinks I'm getting stressed by it and is worried I'll suck the fun out of the whole TTC process 😅 but I've explained that I'm quite interested in how my body works and feeling the little changes in my body and knowing what they mean. So he's a little less worried now.

Hotmalibu94 · 05/08/2023 10:08

@Myna13 it's hard to explain to them how it isn't stressful isn't it 😂

@CatiaR morning! Yeah Im going to do the same this month, and definitely listen to my body more! Yeah that's my thought process, and why im logging every day in my app so I know what my symptoms are month on month too so I can go back and compare!
Oh god yeah it's awful, we have a town show on this weekend and I just don't think I'm gonna go 😂 we were lucky with our wedding! It rained for weeks up until the Thursday before (which was when we started setting up) and then carried on the following week but our wedding day was a scorcher 😁

Morning all :)

It's so funny what your body does as soon as you TTC! I used to be able to predict my period coming to the hour based off BBT, then as soon as we started talking about TTC they'd be ± like 2 days! It is interesting though

I got a BFP in our 3rd cycle of trying - we'd DTD every other day during the window that time, and we'd been more frequent the 2 cycles before, so maybe that's the right timing for us at least!

I'm only a couple of days post surgery for MMC, so just watching and waiting right now. I've had really minimal bleeding though (I don't even think I'd call it spotting at this point), so hoping I can get a negative pregnancy test soon.

I've started tracking BBT again the past few days - currently temps are still above where my normal cover line would be (like normal post-O temps), but they seem to be coming down so it will be interesting to see what happens there!

Huriya · 05/08/2023 12:06

Im not making a note of symptoms etc i feel like thats going to make me think about it too much so im just sticking to daily OPKs and dtd :D
Where is every one from? Im from near Birmingham and weather is pants here been chucking it down with rain all day!

Hotmalibu94 · 05/08/2023 12:08

@ginny93 it's bizarre isn't it. I just don't get it 😂 why does this happen?! Ah bless you, that sounds so rough. Keep us updated with how you're getting on!

@Huriya haha that's fair enough! I find I was better last month because the weird stuff the month before was the same so I felt like I wasn't pregnant anyway 😂
I'm in not so sunny Wales! Having a lazy day with some very slow cleaning involved.

OP posts:
CatiaR · 05/08/2023 12:28

@Hotmalibu94 thats exactly it, I need to not get obsessed we literally just started trying bur can’t wait at the same time!

@Huriya South Wales here! At the minute sunny but has been chucking it down for the most part @Hotmalibu94 fellow wales! Which part? 😊

Hotmalibu94 · 05/08/2023 12:56

@CatiaR I think we must have had this conversation on the other thread! I couldn't remember who it was 😅 I'm nearish Brecon! You?

OP posts:
CatiaR · 05/08/2023 13:05

@Hotmalibu94 yeah it was! I remember you saying Brecon! I’m near Cardiff 😊

thejollytrolleydolly · 05/08/2023 13:52

@Huriya Bedford for me and it's been chucking it down all day here too. Just stopped off in John Lewis for a coffee and cake 😊

CatiaR · 05/08/2023 16:20

Just done my opk for today and although still low as I’m only CD7 I can see its increasing each day which is good.

2 days after AF finished and I had spotting the day after and today which is not really unusual for me especially since AF lasted only 4 days this month when usually is 5 so hopefully all will be ok for next week when fertile week starts.

only one more week to go and we start BD more consistently and then onto TWW yet again 😂

feel real groggy since I’ve had a nap, been feeling quite tired lately and went from nothing to do in work to super busy so that’s that 😊

hope everyone is doing well this afternoon, rain has held off for now but its super windy instead!

Myna13 · 05/08/2023 16:42

Hello from Sheffield! It's been raining off and on all day today.

I'm logging symptoms but also trying not to be obsessive. Which is hard. I think if we don't end up conceiving this month, I'm going to have to stop logging symptoms.

This is my first month of using OPKs. So going to do my baseline now. On CD8 today. Any tips on how to read OPKs in welcome. I've gone down internet rabbit holes, but I'm still unsure.

Hope you're all having an amazing weekend and the soggy weather isn't putting a damper on any plans ❤️

CatiaR · 05/08/2023 17:01

@Myna13 hiya one day ahead of me and also first time doing opks so we’ll be able to go along until the cycle is done 😊

fingers crossed 🤞

CatLadyH · 05/08/2023 17:06

Afternoon all from a grim grey Staffordshire. Last day of AF today going to keep BBT and start OPKs tomorrow. I got an offer for premium Premom app for 6 months for £25 with some free ovulation tests so going to be using that to track too, might be more informative than Flo…..also going to follow SMEP again this month! 🙈 will be tiring but hopefully worth it. Fingers crossed 🤞🏻 xx

CatiaR · 05/08/2023 17:33

@CatLadyH fingers crossed for you this month!
