@Twdfn123 - i read that after a chemical - your chances are higher

I also read that its rare to get 2 chemicals in a row

Line looks nice

VixFromThe6ix · 09/09/2023 15:04

@worldwidetravel2017 nice lines!!! My chemical had faint barely there lines that were hard to capture by the camera. And also chemical pregnancy doesn't progress, from my understanding.

Thank you.. yeah. .. sorry to hear about your chemical..

I think if we do a digital and if it states pregnant in black & white - we might feel a bit more relaxed - might get more excited.. just dont wana be excited and then gutted etc

Twdfn123 · 09/09/2023 16:49

@VixFromThe6ix LOL thank you! Don't say twins though. My mum was a quad so twins are in the family 🙈🙈

Twdfn123 · 09/09/2023 16:49

@worldwidetravel2017 thank you! I really hope so!! Congrats to you xxxx

VixFromThe6ix · 09/09/2023 17:19

@worldwidetravel2017 that's completely understandable. But sometimes it's better to rip the bandaid. At least personally, limbo is such a stressor that it consumes me with hope and fear. I just rather know one way or another.

@Twdfn123 quad??!! Oh boy ... haha can you imagine? Hoping for one but getting four.... I'd die. Both from shock and excitement 😂 how far along would you be right now???

Congratulations @SnookyPook@Twdfn123 and @worldwidetravel2017! That definitely doesn’t look like a chemical @worldwidetravel2017! None of mine have got that dark.

Thanks so much for all your support everyone! 💗 I’ve just started bleeding so pretty devastated even though I was waiting for it. Spent far too many hours googling stories which gave me an inkling of hope it might still be ok, while not wanting to hold out any hope at the same time! It’s so hard as my last 2 chemical pregnancies really ruined my pregnancy with my son for me as I spent the whole time so anxious I was going to lose him, and it’s so hard to be here again. I know others on here have gone through so much worse with later miscarriages so it doesn’t really compare so I probably need to get some perspective, but just feel really sad at the moment. Hope everyone else is doing ok 💗

@Mrsspoon3 sorry about your af arriving. And please don't minimize the way you're feeling. Everyone's struggle is different and everyone goes through emotions differently. Infertility sucks for everyone. And it definitely makes us stress when we finally do get a sticky bean more than someone who had an easier road and actually gets to enjoy the pregnancy. I was like you, trembling on that ultrasound bed every single time fearing for the worst. It was brutal because so much time went on with me not believing it will go well this time. Ugh ... stay positive, and I am sure soon enough you will get your dark BFP. Virtual hugs

@VixFromThe6ix HAHA I know. I've already got my DS1 so we only want 1 more, definitely not quads lol!!! I'm literally only 3+3 with that test which is why I was so shocked how dark it was!! 9th August was my 1st period day of last cycle and my cycle is 35 days. Crazy!!!

worldwidetravel2017 · 09/09/2023 18:16

Just did my first clear blue test this month

Now to do the how many weeks test - just 4 clarity although im pretty sure

@worldwidetravel2017 congrats! That's a great line! Xx

worldwidetravel2017 · 09/09/2023 19:30

I did my first clear blue digital weeks indicator

It clearly says pregnant

Obv having never had a child before - i watched the screen - timer appeared - it flashed 3 plus weeks -, v v briefly - then it settled on 1 ,-2 weeks

Google tells me it does it from conception..

I looked at my ovulation dates etc - just a little potentially eek as thought 2 -3 weeks would of fitted ovulation/ our baby dancing attempts more ..

Didnt use first urine of the day

Im guna do one more tomorrow

Thank you muchly
Do you have any experience with the clear blue how many weeks digital test - & how it showed like 3plus very briefly then settled on 1 - 2 weeks
( quite a difference there )
Just hope my body is doing as it should

Twdfn123 · 09/09/2023 20:01

@worldwidetravel2017 I don't actually rate clear blue to be honest. Once you get to 3+ I'd start getting hopeful as if you're having a chemical or miscarriage it never seems to get that far. Maybe test in a week and you'll know for sure xx

worldwidetravel2017 · 09/09/2023 20:28

I have tests arriving tomorrow for cb how many weeks

I will use first sample of day on Monday am

I know it can vary throughout the day a bit etc

Fingers xed my body is doing as it should and its not a chemical or miscarriage

I read online about nhs adding 2 weeks to cb ( linked to period start date)
So in that case - 2 weeks or 3 could of made sense 4 this test..

My cycles have been long - maybe due to a fibroid or just my f.a prescription/ dose ...

Cressie2 · 09/09/2023 23:14

@Mrsspoon3 hope you’re ok and looking after yourself. ❤️

SnookyPook · 09/09/2023 23:17

@worldwidetravel2017 @Twdfn123 congrats ladies! Haha can you imagine quads?! 😯 Could well be twinnies though with such a strong line...! Time will tell! I've got a CB weeks one but am saving it for next week when I think I should get the 3+... just hoping it will show reasonably high HCG levels as they should be by then. Not really any idea why it would flash one and then settle on another 🤷🏼‍♀️ but yeah, if you've got another to do, I'd wait a week or so and then just use it as progression check. 🤞🏻

@Mrsspoon3 you have every right to be gutted. The minute you see that positive life changes doesn't it, and the minute there's a loss, it's dashed hopes and dreams. As @VixFromThe6ix said, no need to diminish your pain. Your journey is yours alone, and the grief you feel is perfectly valid. I really hope you get your sticky rainbow bean very soon 💕🌈

Twdfn123 · 10/09/2023 06:32

@SnookyPook don't say that lol, just 1 baby would be nice haha xxx

SnookyPook · 10/09/2023 08:29

Morning ladies... my excitement might be short-lived this time too. Tests lighter today so think it's probably a chemical. Trying to hold on to the positive that I got pregnant again and if it wasn't viable I'd rather lose it now than when I was more invested. 😌 hey ho...

I'm so sorry I hope you're feeling okay. I had a chemical last month and it really hit us, it's still a loss no matter how early. Hopefully it will still be okay xxx

MrsBP15 · 10/09/2023 13:37

Hi everyone hope you’re all doing well. Congrats to those who have had bfps and of course thoughts with those experiencing losses or periods arriving ♥️

I’m 2dpo having sort of done SMEP although we didn’t managed the last few days as both working flat out and 30degree heat wasn’t making us feel particularly sexy!! I’m not holding out much hope but we’ll see…I caught ovulation with strips and clear blue so that’s something.

Ive got my day 21 blood test coming up this week so will be good to get that done. This might be TMI but the last few days I have been experiencing bouts of diarrhoea (sorry!) so not sure what that’s about. Wondering if I’ve developed an intolerance to oat milk as I’ve also got eczema on my shins. If it continues, I’ll speak to the doctor and for now will cut out oat milk.

Feeling a bit flat to be honest. Husband extremely busy with work so am worried that if we do need to do more tests etc he’s not going to have the bandwidth for it. That being said we are looking at booking a holiday so that would be something to look forward to…

CurlyWurly1991 · 10/09/2023 19:19

@MrsBP15 booking a holiday sounds like a lovely distraction! I am thinking about doing that too but our first choice is a bit of a euro tour through a few cities by train. Probably not very pregnancy-friendly (if I am lucky enough). I guess something with free cancellation or transfer might be the way we go.
I’m really sorry to hear how you are feeling. It can be utter crap at times. Especially when we feel a lot of the burden of all the fertility stuff is on us. If DH busy, etc.
by the way what makes you think your intolerance is oat milk specifically?
I am coeliac and I did wonder when you said exzcema on shins and diarrhoea. Worth looking up coeliac as both of these can be symptoms. Many of the oat milks contain gluten (eg oatly, I believe).

MrsBP15 · 10/09/2023 21:04

Thanks @CurlyWurly1991 i think holidays should be mandatory when ttc! I’ve sent my passport off to be renewed and then when I get back we’ll probably book Antigua. Lucky enough to have family property out there and haven’t had a honeymoon so feel like we deserve it!

I say oat milk because the last few days it seems to be after I have a latte. Funnily enough I only drink oatly! I don’t eat loads of bread but it has slipped a bit recently what with being busy. I’m going to try stopping oat milk to start with and go from there. Thank you for the advice though, super helpful!

I’m sort of looking forward to my blood test on Thursday and hopefully getting a few answers, even if everything is fine.
