Hi everyone!!

took a bit of a break after being quite gutted after last cycle, hope everyone is doing ok🤍 @RoseH36 we are in the same boat this month RE no OPKS, I am trying my best to do the same and try to take even a little bit of the pressure off, it’s so hard isn’t it.

how are you finding it? Hopefully this is the month for us xx

Mrsspoon3 · 09/09/2023 08:42

Thanks @FigandHoney. That’s interesting about your test! Thanks for sharing the photo of yours. Did it develop quite quickly after this to a stronger line? Wishing you lots of luck for this cycle! that’s great though you’re not putting any pressure on it.

@MixedCouple Thanks! The first 2 times were last time we were trying and we’ve had our little boy in the meantime, but going to contact doctors about getting hormones checked next month anyway to see if everything’s ok.

I did another test this morning as my period still hadn’t come and my bbt is still over coverline, but the line is still ridiculously faint! Attached the photo. This is a FRER too so super sensitive. With my last 2 chemicals the tests went completely negative, my bbt dropped and period came really quickly, so finding this quite hard. But I’m sure my period will come soon.

Hope you’re doing ok @H0pefull and that it’s your month this month!

Thank you @Mrsspoon3 !! Trying to stay positive ☺️
so sorry to see your messages about a potential chemical, they’re so cruel aren’t they 😔 fingers crossed you’re not out yet and this could still be it for you 🤞🏻 lots of love over the next few days, being in limbo is the worst xxx

SouthwestSis · 09/09/2023 09:44

Have got my first ovulation tests on order now. Do most people test once a day or more than once a day when using these?

CurlyWurly1991 · 09/09/2023 11:16

@FigandHoney yes I can totally relate. Tbh our sex life had dwindled a bit before deciding to TTC, now we are having more sex than we have in ages. For me it was a combination of hormone imbalances, stress and tiredness. How old is your current DC? Mine is a pre-tween so I can hardly say it’s due to running around after a small child as she is quite independent. But in my case I think lower libido has to do with the gradual changes as I head towards perimenopause. Also I think the more sex you have the more you want, sometimes?
i have discovered for us the morning is usually better, DH tends to be more up for it. It’s to do with their testosterone levels I think.
ive listened to an interesting book on hormones lately - ‘in the Flo’ by Alisa Vitti.
also started ‘ the hormone repair manual’ which is good so far.
best of luck with it.
@Cressie2 welcome. Yes it can be a hard slog at times! I’m sorry about AF. I’ve just had something similar and realised I didn’t ovulate which is a bit crushing. Waiting for a bleed so we are on to the next cycle.

CurlyWurly1991 · 09/09/2023 11:17

@SouthwestSis i tend to do once a day until they start to rise and then 3-4 times a day. Usually have an idea of when I’m likely to ovulate (between cd11-18) so I can keep a look out for rising levels. I use one step OpK strips and the premom app which is cheap and easy.

Optimist1981 · 09/09/2023 11:26

@Mrsspoon3 really feel for you, I can see the line clearly. Praying it sticks and sending love ♥
@SouthwestSis I test with OPKs from CD9 and test 7am 2pm, 6pm and 11pm. I read that you are more likely to surge in the afternoon and that's been my experience 3 months in. I usually test strong positive for 3 days. 12-36 hrs after LH surge the egg will be released.
I am 9DPO today and tested neg this morning. I expect neg as neg last few so I took it OK. Not out until AF but accepted not my month. We joined a food subscription service for dietitian designed, frozen food full of nutrition and low allergy 4 wks ago and hoping this might make a difference. Its definitely reduced digestive twinges which may be misleading when checking for ovulation, AF and implantation. The only other change for next month is listening to my body and if urge comes to DTD then do it.

BB2023 · 09/09/2023 11:27

@Mrsspoon3 I don't think that's faint, I can see that line very clearly x

EvelynKatie · 09/09/2023 12:29

Typically got my first static smiley face this morning - on the hottest day of the year 😂

Twice as with once a day on cheap ones u can miss it..

Ovulation - cheap sticks positive matched with clear blue

Did 2 cheap ones a day

Cressie2 · 09/09/2023 12:41

@EvelynKatie clothes are overrated in this heat anyway 😄

SnookyPook · 09/09/2023 12:45

@Mrsspoon3 everything crossed for you that it's all ok still. It's horrible being in limbo.

I think my MN hiatus did me even more good than I realised... tentative BFP from me also. Hoping this one sticks 🤞🏻🌈💕

Hi everyone, Just thought I'd join this thread as I'm trying to conceive my 2nd DC this year. Wishing baby dust to everyone on this thread, hopefully 23/24 will be our year <3

I sadly had a chemical last month and my husband and I were absolutely gutted. Just tested this morning as I had really bad cramps even though im still 4 days before my period is due and i'm shocked to see the below....i wasn't hopeful for a positive, let alone one as dark as that. I'm still doubting myself as its still so early :/ !!!

Huge congratulations @SnookyPook and @Twdfn123 ! @CurlyWurly1991 I very much understand your worry, but I don’t think you’re out until AF arrives. I’m sending you lots of love and that these three are sticky beans x

I’m joining in with the OPK stick free team this cycle. I’m going to do my best to ignore it all, enjoy my time with my DH, have sex when and if we fancy it and refocus in November when he’s back. Currently on CD7 of being super chill and ignoring everything about my cycle… 🤣🤣🤣

Hey ladies, I hope you are all well?
I'm in desperate need of some advice..

You may remember me from last month. I finally got my BFP on 10dpo. Last month was the first month I was prescribed progesterone tablets (Norethisterone) for my spotting. Anyways as soon as I found out, the hospital gynae said to stop the tablets. Anyways the next day I started spotting and eventually lost the pregnancy. Devasted.

Fast forward this month. I'm 9dpo and just got a very faint BFP. I have used Norethisterone again this month. Question is, do I now stop it again? I'm terrified that the same thing will happen again. What do I do?

I'm only supposed to take them until 14dpo, but not taking them tomorrow will mean stopping 5 days early and this could all happen again.

I'm terrified. What would you all do?

We have IVF to start this month too, and supposed to be day 2 after AF arrives. So do I just stop taking now? If it sticks, yay! If it doesn't, I'm starting IVF really soon. I'm so torn 😫 xxxx

This may have been addressed already as I haven't read till the end yet. I'm on progesterone and you start taking it after you ovulate. If your test is negative, stop taking it. If your test is positive, l will be taking it for 8-10 weeks afterwards. I'm a little confused why the nurse would tell you to stop it. Is it pure progesterone or something else as well?
And I'm so very sorry you had lost that pregnancy. Fingers crossed this one sticks 🤞🏻

We did these two today
( higher strength tests -,' 25'strength)

Period is def awol / missing

Still nervous re chemical or not

Will be brave and do a digital test in a few days .. know a few people who have had chemicals, & know chemical pregnancy is more common for over 35s

VixFromThe6ix · 09/09/2023 15:04

@worldwidetravel2017 nice lines!!! My chemical had faint barely there lines that were hard to capture by the camera. And also chemical pregnancy doesn't progress, from my understanding.
