Thanks @Eirlys1986 and @worldwidetravel2017 😊 I’m not feeling too positive about it because of how faint it is (my tests were much darker at this stage last time) but will test again tomorrow!

Try with first urine of the day
That def made a difference in my ovulation tests and i believe it makes a diff in preg test too often.
Test set i used said to ideally use first urine of the day -

Optimist1981 · 07/09/2023 18:44

@worldwidetravel2017 @Mrsspoon3 I see a line on your pics,🤞. Numbers-wise it's only a matter of time before one of us on the board falls, I pray its your time.
@BB2023 happy to hear your news, wishing you all the best this cycle xx
@MixedCouple Welcome!!! I'm quite new and everyone here has been really knowledgeable and supportive

Floralsandsmiles · 07/09/2023 20:17

Hey ladies, I hope you are all well?
I'm in desperate need of some advice..

You may remember me from last month. I finally got my BFP on 10dpo. Last month was the first month I was prescribed progesterone tablets (Norethisterone) for my spotting. Anyways as soon as I found out, the hospital gynae said to stop the tablets. Anyways the next day I started spotting and eventually lost the pregnancy. Devasted.

Fast forward this month. I'm 9dpo and just got a very faint BFP. I have used Norethisterone again this month. Question is, do I now stop it again? I'm terrified that the same thing will happen again. What do I do?

I'm only supposed to take them until 14dpo, but not taking them tomorrow will mean stopping 5 days early and this could all happen again.

I'm terrified. What would you all do?

We have IVF to start this month too, and supposed to be day 2 after AF arrives. So do I just stop taking now? If it sticks, yay! If it doesn't, I'm starting IVF really soon. I'm so torn 😫 xxxx

Eirlys1986 · 07/09/2023 20:26

Congrats @Floralsandsmiles..I’ve sent you a private message re: above

FigandHoney · 07/09/2023 20:33

Hello 👋 Was looking for a TTC thread to join.
First off congratulations @Floralsandsmiles . I hope this one is sticky. I don't know anything about progesterone. But sounds like you can keep taking it for 5 days?
We just started trying for our second baby. DS is 3 years old. I am now 35. Husband is 37.
Took us a year and a bit last time to conceive. It all got very stressful.
So we told ourselves we aren't putting any pressure on it this time. But we Bded for the first time yesterday, and here I am joining a TTC thread and looking things up.
So we will see if I can try not to stress about it this time.

Eirlys1986 · 07/09/2023 21:05

You never know @FigandHoney my friend took 18 months to conceive first time and thought she would need ivf then first month of trying second time at age 37 pregnant straight away and little man is almost ready to appear 😂. Good luck x

SnookyPook · 07/09/2023 22:27

@Floralsandsmiles @Pineappleapple @RoseH36 @VixFromThe6ix thank you for the lovely messages! I'm back now after my hiatus and feeling in a much better headspace. I'm just back on page 12 of the thread (!!) where you tagged me so going to try and speed-read catch-up on what I've missed.

Hope everyone is well. It's nice to be back 😊

MixedCouple · 07/09/2023 22:36

@CurlyWurly1991 😂 it was easier during lockdown when I conceived LO. Nowhere to go no visitors etc.
Maybe too much happening. And end of this month DH wants to travel abroad aghhhhh
Fingers n toes crossed

Mrsspoon3 · 08/09/2023 06:37

Looks like it was another chemical pregnancy for me (had 2 last time we were trying). Tested late last night and line looked slightly darker and most definitely there, but tested this morning and it was gone 😢 So sad. Despite all my best intentions, I couldn’t get it out my mind last night we might be having another baby, and even sneakily checked when it would be due. Feel really stupid now!! Should have known better after last time!

Angelsrose · 08/09/2023 09:55

@Mrsspoon3 please don't feel stupid at all. We all understand and are in the same boat, hoping and praying that this is our month! I hope you get your BFP soon.

BB2023 · 08/09/2023 11:40

@Floralsandsmiles Congratulations, I have no experience with progesterone so can’t offer any advice but I really hope everything works out for you lovely. Keeping everything crossed.

Welcome @FigandHoney - wishing you lots of luck on your ttc journey.

@Mrsspoon3 So sorry to hear this, how many DPO are you? If no AF yet then could be ok. Thinking of you xx

worldwidetravel2017 · 08/09/2023 13:17

@Mrsspoon3 - sorry to hear
Im unsure if mines chemical - think il look mon or tues

Sending lotsa luck 4 future attempts

Mrsspoon3 · 08/09/2023 15:47

Thanks @Angelsrose @BB2023 and @worldwidetravel2017
Definitely looks like a chemical. I’m 17dpo and period was due 2 days ago. Still hasn’t come and I did 2 tests this afternoon that had super faint lines (photo attached) but then did a digital and it said “Not pregnant”. So guess that’s that then! 😢

SnookyPook · 08/09/2023 16:27

@Mrsspoon3 so sorry to hear this, that's so tough 😔 Sending you lots of love. 💕

worldwidetravel2017 · 08/09/2023 17:11

So sorry to hear @Mrsspoon3

Are you sure it wasnt too soon 4 digital?

xxcxdonxx · 08/09/2023 17:17

So sorry @Mrsspoon3 chemicals are really very cruel. Don’t feel silly, we would have all have done the same and it’s really hard not to feel excited when you see that first line.

SouthwestSis · 08/09/2023 17:20

Sorry @Mrsspoon3 to see your update, do you have something nice planned this weekend to help take your mind off things?
Welcome @FigandHoney , looks like you're in a similar boat to me, I'm also 35 and TTC baby #2

Am going to spend some time meal planning and doing some meal prep so that I can eat well next week around busy shifts. Also going to try and squeeze in a swim this weekend which always helps make me feel calm and relaxed. Trying my best to nurture myself for this cycle!

BB2023 · 08/09/2023 17:52

So sorry @Mrsspoon3 - thinking of you xx

CurlyWurly1991 · 08/09/2023 18:05

Really sorry to hear this @Mrsspoon3 hope you are doing ok xx

Mrsspoon3 · 08/09/2023 20:25

Thanks everyone for your lovely messages 💗
@worldwidetravel2017 I’d have thought maybe it was just too early for digital if this was before my period was due, but I feel like the lines are too faint for 2 days after a missed period aren’t they?
Im meeting up with a friend tomorrow night @SouthwestSis, so hopefully that will help take my mind off it, but it’s all I can think about at the moment 😢

I think I’d have been more cautious in getting my hopes up if I’d got the positive tests before my period was due as I tested really early the other 2 times I had chemicals, but as I’d also missed my period it seemed like maybe a good sign 😢

FigandHoney · 08/09/2023 21:14

@Mrsspoon3 I am so sorry. The lines are still there. So not all hope is gone. With my sons pregnancy my test didn't show up until quite a bit after my missed period.
I have attached my pregnancy test 3 days after my missed period. Barely visible. Not to get your hopes up. But still..
Also your feelings are completely normal and valid.
TTC is such a hard journey

MixedCouple · 08/09/2023 21:20

@Mrsspoon3 so sorry to see and read this. As this has happened more then twice can you perhaps get blood work to check Progesterone?

FigandHoney · 08/09/2023 21:24

Thank you for the welcome @BB2023 , @Eirlys1986 and @SouthwestSis

FigandHoney · 08/09/2023 21:35

Possibly might have ovulatrd yesterday. I sometimes get ovulation cramping. And I was cramping yesterday. Baby danced the night before.
Decided to use the Ava bracelet I got previously out of desperation. This says I am currently in my period of high fertility.
Husband wanted to get it on last night but played on the PC until 11pm. And I was too tired at that point.
Ans today its bloody boiling I'm our house, so unlikely he will be into it.
Ah well. We are only at the start. And we said we wouldn't put pressure on it this time.
Ever since we had my son my libido has been much lower anyway. I don't know if it was all the stress of trying beforehand, the disastrous birth or smthg hormonal. Anyone else experience this?

Cressie2 · 09/09/2023 07:30

Hello everyone👋please may I join? TTC my second and not having much luck this time around. AF came today after a week of clear blue testing and running to the bin to double check. Hoping we all get some good news this month around.
